As it turns out, Kanna did indeed like fudge, about as much as Jack, if not more so, when they gave her the very first piece of fudge she got in her life, and now they were all in the living room, Danny teaching Tohru and Kanna how to play Mario Kart, with Jack making some sandwiches in the kitchen.
"I think I've got the hang of this 'video game'", Tohru said, playing as Bowser, a grin on her face from being in first place, before a red koopa shell hit her.
"And that's why they say not to count your chickens before they hatch Tohru", Danny said with a chuckle while Tohru looked shell shocked at Danny taking the lead as Rosalina, before he got blue shelled as Kanna playing as Yoshi passed him and won the race using a golden mushroom.
"You counted your chickens too soon Danny," Kanna told him, and though her face was blank, he could feel an air of smugness coming off her.
"Alright, but just remember that this is only round one, we have three more tracks to go through," Danny replied.
Jack, hearing this from the Kitchen just smiled, "Okay, sandwiches are done, we've got a triple decker PB and J with some potato chips for Kanna, three basil chicken sandwiches, one for Danny and two for Tohru each with some chips as well, with a BLT and some fudge for me, with a glass of milk for everyone," the Fenton patriarch said, because he, like Danny, is not exactly a soda person right now.
"How about we watch a movie dad?" Danny asked, "You know, show them what some earth entertainment is like."
"Good Idea Danny, and I know just the one, filled with comedy and action, Ghost Busters," Jack told Danny, with Tohru and Kanna just looking back and forth between them, a questioning look on their faces.
"Which one, the sequel, or the original," Danny asked, not even bothering to mention the disastrous 'remake'.
"The original Danny, only the best movies for the Fenton family," Jack answered.
"Yeah, and then tomorrow we could probably do a marathon of either the Back to the Future trilogy or the extended edition of the Lord of the Rings trilogy," Danny said a grin on his face, it's been a while since he and his dad had a weekend to just have fun.
"Maybe next weekend for the entirety of the extended edition of the Lord of the Rings trilogy Danny, that's about 12 hours total at minimum so that would be one movie a day, but we can do the Back to the Future trilogy tomorrow, probably in the morning though so we can still do stuff in the afternoon," Jack responded, his own smile showing excitement, before turning around to get the disc.
Though before he could move to movie rack, the Fenton's' house phone began to ring, "I'll get it, probably someone calling about my cars extended warranty," Jack said.
"Yes, oh, okay then, have a good day then," Jack said into the phone.
"Okay, slight change of plans the documentation Tohru and Kanna are going to need will be delivered in person on Monday, along with papers to officially adopt Kanna, and Tohru's Highschool Diploma," Jack told them before going back to the movie rack.
"So, what is a movie, Danny?" Tohru questioned, with Kanna nodding next to her.
"You know what plays are right?" Danny asked her, getting a nod from both dragons in the room in response, "well movies are basically those, only they can be done anytime, anywhere so long as you have the right equipment, and you only have to pay for them once."
When Danny was done explaining both girls were looking amazed, plays anywhere, anytime? Such a thing would be something only the richest of nobles could afford in their world, and even then, it was only for very important events.
Jack hearing this, just smirked, while most people would believe that he was a buffoon that was extremely naïve about anything that wasn't ghost or fudge related, that wasn't entirely true, he was very aware of his surroundings, and he was very aware that his old friend Vlad was at the very least attracted to Maddie like he was, but Jack didn't make the first move because he wanted Vlad to be happy, but a few months after that terrible accident that left Vlad bed-ridden in the hospital Maddie asked him out, the rest as they said was history, though getting diagnosed as High-Functioning Autistic a few years ago did explain several things to him and his family, such as how obsessed he was with ghosts and how he would just tune things out when it came to that particular subject (1).
Jack knew that Tohru liked his son, kind of hard not to especially with how she was looking at him earlier today, in fact he thinks that Danny is the only one that hasn't noticed, well better her than Sam, Danny's goth friend just freaks him out.
"Now, let one of the greatest stories of all time unfold before your very eyes," Jack said, a little dramatically.
(Meanwhile, at the Manson residence much earlier in the day)
Pamela Manson was having a rather good day; her maids and butlers were not having any issues with any delivery drivers (especially the ones that began with the letter "F"), the chefs cooked her favorite breakfast, her new summer scarf from the fashion company 'Vendite' came in the mail today, a full three days early! and it was as fabulous as she thought it was, and her precious daughter Samantha was not fighting her on wearing some lighter colors for once!
Granted on Sam's part it was probably because of how exhausted she was from watching some of the foreign films they got a few days ago and that one tasteless zombie movie last night, her mother-in-law Ida was insistent on them watching as it would be 'fair' to her precious Sammy-kins.
Shaking her head (and consequently her orange hair) Pamela opened her blue eyes and began to read her new novel, 'Love amongst the 5 Shinobi Clans', her daughter had to get the love for foreign books from somewhere, even if those foreign books were little more than a different kind of comic book.
Her reading was interrupted when a drop of rain hit her nose, "Well there goes my relaxation plans for the day," she said to herself a little morosely.
Closing her admittedly trashy romance novel she got up only to see what looked like an orange laser hit the rain clouds and disperse them.
Dropping her book in shock she didn't register her husband and mother-in-law coming out onto the balcony in a panic until her blond husband, Jeremy, shouted, "PAMMY DID YOU SEE THAT?!" his own blue eyes showing fear.
"I did Jeremy, what was that though?" Pamea questioned, her voice quivering in fear.
"Whatever it was it looks like it saved us from a sudden rainstorm, though judging from the angle and direction I'd say that it came from the Fenton household," the oldest of them, Ida Manson, said, her scooter getting closer to the railing of their veranda, her pink sweater and yellow fore-arm length button up shirt crinkling as she lifted a hand above her eyes because of how bright it was now, while the other smoothed out her purple and pink cross-thatched patterned knee-length skirt that bunched up when she gripped it after seeing the 'laser'.
A noise of disgust came from both Pamela and Jeremy at the mention of the Fenton's, "Oh now none of that, we have a bright and clear day that we can enjoy by indulging in our favorite hobbies, whether that be reading a bad romance novel," Ida said, looking directly at her daughter-in-law, who blushed in embarrassment, "or looking for rare bugs to collect," she finished looking at her son, before going back into the house.
"She has a point, let's just enjoy the day darling," Pamela with a smile said, before giving a smooch to her husband's cheek, before dragging him to cuddle with her on a hammock while she continued to read.
While they were doing this though, Ida was thinking to herself, though keeping a neutral look to keep the maids and butlers from thinking something was wrong, 'there's no doubt about it, what happened to the sky was definitely the work of a dragon, though judging from the amount mana I sensed during that breath attack, the dragon is extraordinarily strong, and probably has complete control over their mana if they're able to get to this world.'
After getting in her room and locking the door, Ida got off her Rascal and walked over to the trunk at the end of her bed and took out an ornate gold key with strange cobalt blue markings attached to a cord from underneath her sweater and put it into the keyhole.
Lifting the top of the trunk she looked at the items inside, specifically one she had used oh so long ago, 'I hope that I'm wrong, but, if I'm not then my precious bubeleh will need to learn the full truth of her heritage.'
Shaking her head and putting a smile on her freckled cheeks, she closed the trunk, locked it, and left her room, this would need further investigation.
(Meanwhile at Amity Park… Park)
"Ah, what a wonderful day to spend in the park eating a picnic," spoke a 7'5 woman, with very noticeable… assets, bright blonde hair reaching her waist, tanned skin and red eyes, wearing a pink shirt with a white floral pattern, a thin yellow jacket, a lavender skirt, and a diamond studded ring on her ring finger.
"It really is Tionishia-chan, maybe on the way back home you and I can hit that new bakery and get some crepes," spoke her husband, a man of Korean descent standing at 5'11, wearing a dark green t-shirt, a pair of blue jeans, and a ring to match the womans.
"REALLY CHAN-YEOL-KUN (2)!" the woman proclaimed loudly and excitedly in Japanese, a bright smile encompassing her face.
Laughing to himself with a smile, the husband nodded his head and went back to his food, before hearing someone call his and his wife's names.
"HEY CHAN-YEOL, TIO!" Looking to his right Chan-Yeol saw two of their friends, who were also a married couple, and parents to their son's girlfriend Star.
The woman, named Melody Vrochí (3), is 5'6 with a deep tan that went well with her emerald-green eyes, chin length feathered golden blonde hair, wearing a dark blue mid-riff bearing tank top with a pair of black cargo shorts.
The man of the new couple, named Henry Vrochí, is standing at 5'8, fair skinned with short black hair, blue eyes, and was wearing a dark green polo shirt, with a pair of blue jeans.
"So, how are Mister and Missus Gogyeolhan (4) doing today?" asked Henry in a rather bland voice.
"Henry, as much as I appreciate you making fun of our boring boss, today is a beautiful day and I would rather it not be ruined by thinking of him," Chan-Yeol admonished.
Henry just pouted while the wives laughed at their husbands.
"In all seriousness, how is Kwan doing lately?" Melody asked.
"He's doing okay, though I really want him to stop hanging around that Baxter boy so much, that Dash is just a bad influence," Tionishia said a scowl on her face.
"Tell me about it, ever since the Baxter and Sanchez families moved in our little Star has become so spoiled and nasty, even no longer being friends with Danny, Tucker, or Sam like they once were, even going so far as to bully them, where did we go wrong?" Melody asked, tears gathering in her eyes.
"When we let our kids hang around those two families when they moved in two and a half years ago," Chan-Yeol said, shaking his head in disappointment at what their kids are doing.
What started out as letting their kids' become friends with Dash and Paulina when they moved to Amity Park so they wouldn't be alone, spiraled downward to Kwan and Star becoming bullies that would at times disobey their parents when it came to curfew, bullying the smarter students into doing their homework when they were capable of doing it themselves to hang out with Dash and Paulina. The worst part is that because both the Sanchez and Baxter families have their claws in the school's staff, and the fact that Kwan and Star were a part of the Football team and Cheerleading squad respectively, it would hurt their scholarship chances when it came time for them to go to college if they got kicked from the teams because they got grounded and missed a game.
"I don't know why Lancer lets them get away with everything they do, he's a good teacher, but ever since they started high school a week ago Dash and Paulina have essentially become owners of the school, getting varsity leather jackets, and despite being only freshman, becoming the star quarterback and head cheerleader (5)," Melody said, shaking her head with a scowl as her tears started to flow a little, "Star doesn't want to keep doing music with me anymore, despite it being literally in our blood."
"It's the same with me and Kwan over learning Kendo, how to use a kanabō, Jūdō, and Jujitsu," Tionishia said, tears starting to gather in her eyes as well, Kwan used to be so enthusiastic about learning from her half of his heritage, but now he just blows it off.
Just as Henry opened his mouth to get them to move onto happier topics some rain started to drop on their heads, "well we better start packing up Tio, don't want our food to get soggy," Chan-Yeol said, a sigh escaping his lips, "the weatherman said nothing about a rainstorm at all this week, we might have to-" he said before what looked like an orange laser hit the grey clouds and caused them to disperse.
Though, something else happened just as the clouds dispersed, seemingly out of nowhere what seemed like a dark red horn began to grow in the middle of Tionishia's forehead, at the same time fish-like scales began to from on Melody's skin, mostly her arms, neck, and legs, while what seemed to be feathers began to seemingly grow in her hair.
With a quick glow these features began to disappear, and a quick look around assured them that nobody, aside from their husbands, saw the new features, which made sense seeing as how everyone else in the park were gawking at the sky, or running around like headless chickens with quite a few of them yelling things like 'GAME OVER MAN, GAME OVER!', 'THE END IS NIGH!', with a small smattering of 'WHY DIDN'T I LISTEN TO THAT HOMELESS MAN YELLING AT ME ON THE BUS!'
"W-what was that, Melody?" Tionishia questioned her friend, who was a lot better than her at sensing magic.
"I don't know, but we need to get somewhere else, in case something else happens to overload our disguise spells Tio," Melody said, leading Tio, and both of their husbands to a more isolated spot to try and figure out what happened.
After finding a secluded spot they began to talk.
"Okay, whoever fired that off was obviously a dragon, but we'll need to find out their intentions, especially since from the looks of it, that breath attack came from Maddie and Jack's house, and we'll need to see if they're safe," Melody began, having given thought about what kind of creature could use magic that way and be powerful enough to part rain clouds like the Red Sea with ease.
"It's been a while, so let's take a gift with us, as a sort of apology for our children being like they are now, and for how long it's been," Henry said, the other three agreeing.
So, after several hours of deliberation they bought a new Blu-Ray player and they arrived at the Fenton household, in all its glory. Sweating nervously, Melody rang the bell.
"Who is it?" Jack asked, opening the door a few minutes later, having finished cleaning up not long ago and relaxing from cleaning the basement of dangerous chemicals.
Blinking, he just rubbed the back of his head awkwardly, and let them in without a word when Henry lifted the box containing their gift.
"Soooo," Jack began awkwardly, giving each of them some razzberry tea he made earlier, "What brings you all here?"
"Well first off, we would like to apologize for the way our children are acting towards Danny, again," Chan-Yeol began, "and second, we're here to check if you're okay, we saw that breath attack earlier, it held a lot of magical power, so we wanted to check on you."
"Oh that," Jack began before blinking in confusion, "Wait, you know about magic being real?"
"Yeah, as a matter of fact I'm a Siren, and Tio over here is an Oni, but from what I can sense, you seem to be okay, but where are Danny, Jazz, and Maddie at?" Melody said, ripping off the band-aid.
"Well, that would explain your otherworldly singing voice, and from what I know of Onis, Tio's height," Jack said, rubbing his chin in thought, "but if you're worried don't be, Jazz and Maddie are on their way to that spa resort a few hours out of town, and as for Danny, he's showing our new maid around town right now."
"Wait, you guys have a maid now?" Henry asked, an incredulous sort of half-grin on his face.
"Yeah, and let me tell you she really likes Danny, which is good for him because she seems to be a nicer person than Sam," Jack said, a smile on his face.
"So, I'm guessing you know that she is a dragon?" Tio asked.
"Yeah, surprised me when she cleared up that sudden rainstorm, but she seems to be a good person, let me tell you of how they met last night," Jack smiled, before going into the tale.
"Man, you're lucky that Danny wasn't caught last night, though I didn't figure Danny to be a loud and hungry drunk," Henry said, a grin on his face "Though the way they met is giving me an idea for a story of my own, you don't mind if I use this scenario to publish a book, right?"
"Nah, I don't mind, neither would Danny, by the way Maddie and I are also adopting a little dragon girl by the name of Kanna, she was banished to this dimension for playing a prank, when I see her parents, I'm going to deck them in their schnozzes with some dragon empowered Fenton Gauntlets," Jack said the grin on his face gaining a bit of an edge to it.
Hair covering one eye while the other glowed an ominous red, Tionishia growled out, "You'll have to get in line Jack, I call dibs on the first beating."
Jack looked at her before nodding, knowing that arguing with Tionishia would just worsen her mood right now.
"By the way Melody, aren't Sirens supposed to have the entire body of a bird except for the head?" Jack questioned, wanting an answer.
With a suffering filled sigh, Meldoy began to explain, "those were some of the exiled people of my clan, they were exiled and forcefully morphed into a form most suited to them, something akin to vultures, that at the same time would make it difficult to live to get them to repent, while most did, the die-hards kept on eating humans and other sentient creatures before a curse was put upon them, one that if someone listens to their song but not die they would be forced to drown themselves."
Jack nodded, "Well Danny, Tohru, and Kanna will be here anytime, so I got to start making dinner for them, this was good though, please talk to your kids, while they don't say it, Danny, Tucker and Sam miss them."
With that the guests left to go home, with Danny, Tohru, and Kanna coming in 30 minutes after.
(Meanwhile at the Foley Household)
"Man, I can't tell you how much of surprise it is to see you here Sean, I didn't think that I would see your side of the family after your great-great-great grandfather disowned his first son for marrying a black woman," said Maurice Foley, a black man of 5'11 with glasses, moustache, short cut hair, a white-collared shirt with a red tie, light blue sweater vest, and a pair of khakis.
"Yeah, well I think it's time for the family to reconnect, after nearly losing my son to a scumbag last year because of my attitude towards others, I've been trying to become a better person," Sean Foley, a man of 6'0 with blond hair, black eyes, light blue polo shirt, and a pair of dark blue jeans replied, "I didn't realize with my bigotry that I was pushing my own son away, and now that I'm getting away from all the hate and racism, I see parts of my son that I haven't seen until recently, but no matter what, he is still my son, and I'm going to love him until the day I die, and even beyond that."
(Meanwhile upstairs in Tucker's room of the Foley household)
"Man, you've got some good tech here, and even some antiques that look well taken care of," Virgil Hawkins, a dark brown teen with dark eyes, wearing a yellow button up shirt with orange raglan sleeves, baggy burgundy cargos, with his hair in a dreadlock undercut style, said while holding a PDA.
"That is not an antique, that is the best PDA on the market right now, a J'ZaX-745, it has a download speed of 450 megabytes per second, can track events up to 10 years in advance down to the nano-second, allows you to customize your calendar and clock with whatever pictures you have on it without having to download some sketchy app or widget and without having to pay, is far more durable than most smartphones, has 1 terabyte of internal memory, and 24 gigabytes of RAM, like most PDAs you can change out the battery without much issue, and is cheaper than most top tier smartphones," Tucker, a 14 year-old black teen with turquoise colored eyes, wearing glasses, a red beret hiding is short black hair, a yellow long-sleeved, green cargo pants with a black belt said, grabbing his PDA from Virgil.
"If you're gonna have a piece of tech with stats like that, why not just get a smartphone?" Richie Foley, a fifteen-year-old fair skinned teen with blond hair, black eyes, wearing a sea green hoodie with an orange horizontal line going through the middle of the hoodie's chest and sleeves, a white short sleeved shirt, glasses, and a hoop earring in his left ear asked.
"Because PDAs will make a comeback, though I have a question, while I can understand Uncle Sean and Richie being here, why are you here again Virgil?" Tucker asked.
"His dad wanted to make it up to me," Virgil replied shrugging.
Tucker shrugged before massaging his forehead a bit.
"You okay cuz?" Richie asked.
"Yeah, just a bit of a headache, anyone up for some Smash Bros?" Tucker asked, bringing a couple of Switch Pro Controllers from his desk.
"Now we're talking," Virgil grinned, "dibs on link."
"Hey boys, why don't you go out and explore the town, it's a nice day outside!" Maurice shouted up the stairs.
"Well looks like we're doing that instead," Richie said.
"If we leave now, we can get some breakfast before lunch starts at my favorite fast-food place," Tucker said.
"Sounds cool, as long as they got good sausages and hashbrowns, I'm in" Virgil shrugged.
(Nasty Burger, one and a half hours later)
"Man, these are good, much better than the Bueno Nacho that opened a few months ago in Dakota City for sure," Richie stated, halfway through his Eggs.
"Don't mention that abominable filth around me while I'm eating," Tucker demanded.
"Wow, not really a fan of them, are you Tuck?" Richie asked, rather surprised.
"No, tried them once and the fake meat gave me severe dysentery, a bad stomach flu, and bad food poisoning, after my folks were done suing them with them, I have enough money to go to a good college without loans, buy myself a two-story house, a decent car of course that is before the investments my dad is making, allowing it to grow exponentially, and if they play out really well I'll be able to start my own tech company right out of college, though unlike some people, I will be working hands on with the stuff instead of taking credit for what I haven't done," Tucker explained.
Before they could continue the TV in the corner of the restaurant had its volume turned up, "Thanks to the Avengers, New York is safe once again from the likes of Carnage, thankfully there were no casualties and all hostages are safe, though with the increase of people obtaining superpowers being born with them, or are smart enough to build their own super suits on a dime store budget, some people are calling for laws to be made, more about this at 7 tonight, for now though let's take a look at sports with Chet Ubetcha, Chet?" one of the anchors spoke before the volume was turned down by the head chef, who then got into a verbal argument with the employee who turned it up.
"Well at least those people are safe," Tucker said around some sausage, "but I want to know, which of the avengers who's your favorite Avenger, mine are Iron Man and Black Widow."
"Thor and Black Panther," Virgil answered finishing his last hash brown.
"Iron Man and Spider-Man," Richie spoke, munching on his last piece of bacon.
"My Favorite Justice League members are Black Canary and Batman, yours?" Tucker asked.
"Batman and Firestorm," Virgil said.
"Green Arrow and Superman" Richie verbalized.
*Tap, rat-a-tat*
Upon hearing something hit the window the boys turned their head to see it was beginning to rain, "looks like the weatherman was wrong, he said it was going to be just overcast today, we should probably head next door to buy a couple of umbr-" Tucker began before what looked to be an orange laser hit the clouds dispersing them.
Everyone in the Nasty Burger had their jaws drop in shock, before most of them screamed and ran into either the kitchen or one of the restrooms.
All except Tucker, Richie, and Virgil that is, who just sat in their seats shocked until Tucker spoke up, "I think that the parents of a friend of mine caused that."
"Wait, really who are they," Virgil asked an edge to his voice, though Tucker didn't notice.
"Jack and Maddie Fenton, normally they don't do anything with the weather and instead focus on making inventions that deal with ghosts, probably one of their inventions doing something unexpected or about to explode and they wanted it out of their house before it messed something up," Tucker explained.
"Would you say that they're harmless?" Richie questioned.
"Yeah, for the most part, they tend to blast first, investigate second when something remotely ghostly happens, though they pay for all damages and they're lucky that no one has been seriously hurt yet, the worst thing about ectoplasm is if you get it in your hair, took about 2 and a half hours to get it out of mine last time," Tucker told them, "and for the most part ectoplasm is pretty harmless from what they've explained, unless it's in extreme amounts or you're exposed to a highly concentrated variant, and even then as long as you get a good wash immediately afterwards you'll be okay as long as it hasn't entered your bloodstream in any way, like say an open mouth, or unprotected eyes."
"I'm surprised they haven't been kicked out of town or arrested yet then," Virgil commented, calming down.
"Yeah, but I think it's because they pay off damages immediately and no one has been hurt yet," Tucker shrugged, before grabbing his head as a splitting headache just hit him.
"We should probably get some headache medicine for you before we continue the tour Tuck," Virgil said.
Tucker just gave him a shaky thumbs-up in response.
(With Maddie and Jazz, after arriving at Le Complexe de Détente)
"I don't know how you can eat that Jazz, it kind of smells," Maddie told her daughter, her voice kind of nasally from holding her nose.
"It's legitimate Vietnamese food and not just generic Asian food from Japan or China that's had a lot of sugar and preservatives added to it," Jazz explained, eating the last of the Pho in her current take-out box.
"Okay, but did you have to get so much of the stuff?" Maddie asked, looking at enough boxes to last until they get home.
"Yeah, who knows when I'll be able to more Vietnamese food again," Jazz answered, putting the last of the takeout into their room's mini fridge.
"So, are you excited about having two new sisters?" Maddie questioned her daughter.
"Yeah, might take a bit for Tohru as she needs to get to know Danny, but I can't wait to meet Kanna, she sounds so adorable from what Danny has told me about her in the text he sent not that long ago," Jazz said before she began gushing over the fact she finally had a little sister.
"Yes, though I am worried, your dad and I study ghosts and now we are being looked at more closely by the government, even if it's the supernatural side," Maddie stated, a little concerned that their life's work would be shut down.
"Well, if you guys were really a concern, they would have already done something by now," Jazz eased her worries.
"Yeah, you're right, so they probably think that ghosts are problematic as well," Maddie smiled, before she and Jazz went off to get some massages.
(Amity Park Park, The Next Day (Saturday), 9AM)
"Well, here we are Kanna, there should be some kids you can become friends with, just be careful, we don't need to explain why someone is going to the hospital with all their limbs broken," Danny told Kanna, "though that doesn't apply if anyone tries to kidnap you or the anyone else, I'm going to do some self-study over there, I'll play with you in 15 minutes when Tohru gets here." Danny pointed over to a couple of benches.
"Okay," Kanna responded, before going over to one of the playgrounds to play with a group of kids.
The reason Tohru wasn't here right now was because Jack was teaching Tohru how to use the various (non-scientific) appliances in the house as well as how to clean them properly without magic, in case they have non-magical guests over.
Running up to the jungle gym Kanna began climbing it, getting the attention of other kids on it because of her clothing, especially one golden blonde-haired girl with her hair in a space bun style, and turquoise eyes, wearing a pale cyan shirt, black skirt overall, and brown boots with white thigh high socks, who looked to be about nine or ten, took an interest in the new kid almost immediately.
"Hello, who are you?" the girl asked.
"Kanna Fenton," Kanna replied.
"Fenton, I thought they only had two children?" questioned the blonde.
"They're adopting me," Kanna stated, her eyes starting to shine a bit.
"Well, that's nice, I'm Chloe by the way, Chloe Baxter," Chloe told her, "I hope we can be friends, despite my big brother being a butt to yours."
"What does your brother do to mine?" Kanna asked, an edge starting to enter her voice.
"Dash likes to shove him into lockers, garbage cans, call him names that aren't clever, push him, punch him, and things like that, daddy and I have been trying to get him to stop, but mom just keeps encouraging him," Chloe said, pouting.
"So, what do you want to play, Tag, Hide-N-Go Seek, Freeze Tag, or something else?" Chloe began to list off games, trying to get Kanna to play.
As she and Kanna began to play Hide-N-Go Seek with the other children in the park Danny cracked open a history book and began to read about some battles of the American Civil War, while taking some notes in his space themed notebook.
"Danny, what are you doing here?" came Tucker's voice.
Looking up, Danny saw his friend walking over with two slightly older teenagers.
"Hey Tuck, just doing a bit of studying, and who are these two?" Danny answered/asked.
"My cousin Richie, and his best friend Virgil, their visiting for 2 weeks until their school starts as a type of familial reconciliation," Tucker explained gesturing to Richie and Virgil.
"Familial reconciliation?" Danny questioned.
"We share the same great-great-great-great grandfather, who was a total racist," Richie stated.
"Oh, well it's nice to meet you two," Danny stated.
"Hey Danny, Tucker, how are you two doing?" the third and final member of the designated "Casper High Outcasts", Sam Manson, stated.
Sam Manson is a 14-year-old girl with short black hair she keeps in a short ponytail with violet eyes, she was wearing a black choker, a pair of black bracelets around her wrists, a black midriff bearing top that has a purple oval in the center, a black skirt with a green crosshatch pattern, purple tights, and black combats boot.
"Good so far, just doing a bit of studying before going back to school Tuesday," Danny told her, "That and watching my new little sister".
"New little sister?" Sam and Tucker asked him.
"Yeah, see the girl in the purple dress, her names Kanna, my mom and dad are adopting her, I'm keeping an eye on her while getting some studying done," Danny told them, "We're also hosting a party for her on Monday, if you want, you guys can come."
"Yeah, I'll come, it sounds great," Tucker and Sam surprisingly said at the same time, before looking at each other in weirded-out confusion.
"That was a little weird, but it'll be around 7pm on Monday, Richie, Virgil you two are welcome to come too," Danny told them.
"Thanks," the aforementioned two said at the same time.
"Hey Danny, I got done a little early!" came Tohru's excited voice.
Turning to face the new voice, Tucker, Sam, Richie, and Virgil dropped their jaws as their eyes widened in shock at the beauty coming to join them.
Today Tohru is wearing a light-blue t-shirt, black jeans, a crimson half skirt, and the same dark purple headband from yesterday.
"Danny," Sam said, an edge to her voice that only Danny didn't notice, "Who is this?"
"This is my family's new maid, Tohru, but she isn't technically hired officially until Tuesday," Danny told her.
"Wait, your family hired a maid?" Tucker questioned, as he, Richie, Virgil, and Sam looked at Danny in shock that such a beauty is working as a maid when she could easily be a top-tier model.
"So, Danny who is who?" Tohru questioned.
"Well, the one in the beret is Tucker, Richie is the blonde, Virgil is the one with dreadlocks, and Sam is the one with purple eyes," Danny introduced them.
"So, you're Danny's friends, it's nice to meet you all," Tohru said, bowing a bit to each of them, but giving a small glare to Sam when bowing to her, which went unnoticed by everyone except Sam, who gave a glare right back.
"Well, I wouldn't say Virgil, Richie and I are friends, we just met each other, but if they can stand to be around tucker for at least day, then they can't be that bad," Danny teased.
"Yea- Hey!" Tucker began, before raising his voice in protest.
Everyone else just laughed a bit at the teasing.
"So, your family hired a maid and is adopting a little girl, we're probably not gonna see each other that often since you're gonna be a little busy for the ne-AGH!" Tucker began, before crying out in pain and clutching his head.
"TUCKER!" Shouted Danny, Sam, Richie, and Virgil.
"I'm okay, just gonna take some headache meds and sit for a bit," Tucker said, doing just that.
"No Tuck, you need to see a doctor, you might be seriously sick, come on let's go," Richie said, taking Tucker by the shoulders and beginning to leave the park, Virgil just behind.
"I hope Tucker gets better soon, would suck if he missed the party," Sam said, frowning in worry.
While she and Tucker didn't get along at least a good fifteen percent of the time, they were still friends and she worried about him, despite how insufferable he could be at times.
"Same," Danny said, looking at Tucker's retreating back.
"Danny," came Kanna's voice.
"Yeah Kanna?" Danny asked her.
"Can my friend Chloe and her dad come to the welcoming party on Monday?" the smallest person there asked.
"I don't see why not, so long as mom and dad agree, but they probably will," he answered her.
"Is that your friend?" he questioned, gesturing towards Chloe.
Kanna just nodded.
"I should probably contact my friends as well; do you think Jack and Maddie will let them come over as well?" Tohru inquired.
"Yeah," Danny told her.
Not liking Danny paying more attention to Tohru than her, Sam began to open her mouth to say something, only for her smartphone to start buzzing.
Groaning Sam answered it, "Yeah?" she asked, "Wait really"
"Okay, I'll be right back, no don't send anyone to pick me up please, I need the walk for some light exercise right now," Sam said before hanging up.
"Okay, my dad called, nothing majorly bad, but one of the gardeners went into my personal greenhouse and had a bit of an accident, he's okay, but I need to check on my plants to see what needs to be done, see you at the party on Monday," she told Danny, Tohru, and Kanna, giving Danny and Kanna a smile, before sending a second discreet glare towards Tohru, then start making her way out of the park.
"Danny, can we go to the Arcade and Theater, you said we could yesterday, but we didn't?" Kanna requested.
"Yeah," Danny said, putting away his English text book, "I'll study when I get home."
(Monday, 11 AM, Fenton Household)
"Yeah, the two-story building with the sign 'Fenton Works' on the side with the third-story metal add-on, okay, see you in about five minutes then," Maddie talked into the phone, the second time for the day.
"Everyone good?" Maddie questioned, turning towards her family and Tohru.
Everyone gave an affirmative, except Jazz who was busy rubbing one of her cheeks against Kanna, who somehow had an even more blank expression on her face than usual, commenting on how cute she was and babbling on about the things they could do together as sisters.
"Jazz, please stop for now, the agent, Mr. Took is going to be here any minute now, Jack, how are the sandwiches coming along?" Maddie told Jazz, before turning to the kitchen where her husband was.
"They're almost done, though hopefully he won't eat as much as you told us Tohru," The Fenton Patriarch said.
"He might, he might not, but on average Halflings tend to eat at least fifty percent more than the average human, but seeing as how he's Half-Dwarf he probably eats double," Tohru said back, helping him make the sandwiches.
*Knock Knock*
"Oh, that's probably him, I'll get the door," Danny said.
Opening the front door, Danny was greeted by a man who was about 4'2 tall, the short man had brown eyes, curly black hair, an equally curly black beard, wearing a smart suit.
"Hello my lad, is this the Fenton house? I see the sign, but I want to make sure, I'm terrible with directions," the stranger asked.
"Yes sir, are you Mr. Took?" Danny questioned.
"The very same, wait," the short man began before sniffing the air, "is that smoked mesquite turkey I smell?"
"Yeah, we were making sandwiches, do you want some, we know you basically forfeited your brunch to be here, so we thought to make some food in case you needed it," the fourteen-year-old answered.
"Oh heavens, you and your family are so kind, I'd be delighted to have some," the government agent smiled, coming inside the house.
After a hearty meal, one in which Mr. Took, Kanna, and Jack nearly got into an eating contest, they began to talk.
"Okay, I won't be here for much longer, just dropping off the necessary paperwork for both Lady Tohru and little Kanna here, birth certificates, Social Security cards, passports, a certificate of adoption for Kanna, and a Highschool Diploma for Tohru," Mr. Took told them before handing over the documents.
"Now off to find a local pub that's open at this time of day," The Half-Dwarf said.
"Isn't it a little early to be drinking?" Jazz asked.
"My dear, it's 5'o clock somewhere in the world, and besides, the only thing better than rain or rippling brook, is a mug of beer inside this Took," Mr. Took replied, before exiting the house.
