When Loki regained consiousness his body felt like it was on fire. His muscles felt strained and as if they had been suddenly stretched too hard. He groaned and tried to open his eyes, but promptly closed them again as light suddenly attacked his eyes and caused sharp pain to rush trough his head. Eyes still closed he squinted his eyes and turned his head to the side and pressed his face in the ridiculous soft pillow. That was also when he realised that he did not knew where he was. He tensed up and tried to find out his location with the help of sensory impressions. The smell of desinfection and rubber floors made him realise that he was in a hospital or at least a faculty with a medical wing. He tried carefully to open his eyes again and could even make out shapes after a few seconds that became clearer with every passing moment. Because his head was still turned to the side, he could only see what was left of him. A nightstand and a wall painted in the TVA brown. So he was in the TVA Loki mused. He furrowed his brow and tried to remember what had happened. When he could come up with nothing a nagging feeling of unease snuck into his brain. He hated not being in control of himself, or in this case his memories.
The doors of the room he was in were opened hastily and Mobius rushed in with a concerned expression on his face. Mobius eyes scanned the room searchingly and stopped when he saw Loki. Loki looked at Mobius, took in his familiar stance, looks and character and relaxed. It dindnt matter what happened, or what was to come. Mobius was here at Lokis side, just how it was supposed to be. Everything was going to be okay. Loki smiled at Mobius and said “You came“. Mobius eyes softened as he looked at his partner. “Of course“ he answered and crossed the room with quick steps. He stopped next to Lokis bed and regrded him with his gentle and forgiving eyes that Loki came to love during their years together. He took Lokis hand, his grip secure and warm, and placed a gentle kiss on it. Mobius eyes locked with Lokis and promised “For all time. Always“.
