Summary
Basically an Avengers Teen Wolf AU with a reader/OC insert. Why? Because I wanted to. Or, more accurately, it just wouldn't leave my brain.Reader goes from a zero to one of the popular kids when she's bitten by a werewolf one night while searching the woods for a dead body with her best friend, Kate. She's had a crush on Wanda Maximoff since forever, and now, with the help of the new girl Yelena, Wanda seems to notice she exists. Only, Wanda seems to have a secret of her own, and Yelena's sister appears deadly...I suck at summaries so badly it's not even funny. Just read please?
Note
I literally wrote this instead of sleeping, hope you like it because I just could NOT get it out of my brain. It was utterly ridiculous.Chapter 1 closely follows episode one but it will diverge quite a bit when we bring in Yelena the new kid in the next chapter or so.

New Girl's & New Feelings

"Mmmph..." I let out as I grudgingly place my bike in the rack at school. I'm exhausted. I hadn't gotten home until close to two in the morning and my side was on fire the whole way. Still, I managed to bandage myself up and get some sleep before school. Once the bite was cleaned, it didn't look too bad after all.

Bending down to lock up my sad excuse for a vehicle (hey, at least it's a pretty purple), I suddenly get knocked off balance as a car door slams into me from behind. "Hey! What the hell?" I grit out, sitting up and dusting my hands off on my dark jeans.

"Oh, I'm sorry. Didn't see you there." A blonde haired, blue eyed jerk says. It's Vision, one of the most popular guys in the school. "But next time, Dianna, won't you watch the paint job?" He says while looking back at his grey Porsche, shaking his head as if in disappointment.

He walks off to where his friends are at towards the front of the school, leaving me to pick myself up off the ground in anger. Vision has always found a way to pick on me, ever since he started dating Wanda Maximoff back in Junior High. It's like he just knows that I've always had a crush on her, and feels like he needs to punish me for it. Doesn't he know it's punishment enough to like a straight girl? Someone who doesn't even notice I exist?

Sighing, I readjust my backpack as I make my way onto the path leading to the school. Today seems to already be going beautifully... I'm wallowing in thoughts of what else the day may throw at me when Kate comes bouncing up to me.

"Hey, Dee!" She puts a hand on my shoulder, and I look at her with narrowed eyes. "I know, I know! I'm sorry! Please forgive me?" Her head tilts down and back as she pouts, waiting for the inevitable.

I look up to the sky, as if in thought, as I my head sways side to side. As her best friend, I can't let her think she's getting off too easy. She scoffs, smacking me in the arm, and I grin. " Of course. You are forgiven." I roll my eyes.

"Great!" She beams. "Now let's see it!"

Groaning, I glance around before stopping and lifting my sweater just enough for her to see the bandage just below my rib cage. "Eww, that's so gross!" She lets out a bit loudly, and my face pales as I let the thick black fabric of my sweater drop back into place. "Too. Loud."

"Sorry..." Kate winces, and we continue to make our way into the school. "So what do you think it was?"

"I don't know. A wolf? It looked weird, had red glowing eyes." I shuddered, heading for my locker.

"A wolf? There's no way. Wolves haven't been in California for a very long time."

"Well... It moved kind of like a wolf, it sounded kind of like a wolf, and the teeth marks left on my side kind of look like they're from wolf teeth... But whatever." I say with a roll of my eyes, opening up my locker to put my bag in and grabbing just what I need for the next couple of classes, plus an extra pencil - just in case. "Look, if you don't believe me about the wolf, you're definitely not gonna believe what else I found..." Glancing over at her with a small smirk.

"What?" The dark haired girl says slowly, mimicking my movements since her locker is right next to mine.

I glance around quickly, before leaning closer and whispering in a sing song voice. "The body."

"Oh my - Really?!" My best friend lets out an excited squeal, turning to fully face me and bouncing a bit. "That is awesome! This has got to be the best thing to happen to this town since the -" She glances behind me before her smile grows impossibly wider and she leans closer to me, quietly continuing. "Since a certain auburn haired Maximoff moved here." Nodding her head behind me.

My head snaps around, and I let out a small sigh at the sight of her. There she is, Wanda Maximoff, the straight girl that has haunted most of my thoughts since I realized I was into girls. Her hair cascades down one of her shoulders like a beautiful auburn waterfall, catching the light just right. She's wearing a thin dark grey dress that stops at her thighs with a maroon belt around her middle, black tights with artfully ripped holes in the knees are paired with her signature black Doc Martens, and a small black leather jacket to top it off. She's gorgeous, and I can't help but stare at her as she gets closer.

"Dee!" Kate whispers sharply, pinching my arm.

"Ow!" I say, my head snapping back to look at her. "What was that for?!"

Kate shakes her head with a sad smile. "You were drooling."

"I was not!" I let out defensively.

"You were, and besides, Vision was glaring at you."

"Vision?" Gulping, I glance back towards where Wanda was headed. Sure enough Vision had his arm wrapped around her and I hadn't even noticed.

"Yeah, you might not have noticed him, but he sure noticed you..." She winces, following my gaze.

Groaning, I turn and shut my locker before leaning my head into it. The world just hates me today, doesn't it? Of course Vision had to notice me watching his girlfriend. I see more car door incidents in my future...

"Anyways..." Kate says, finally shutting her locker and looping her arm through mine as she begins to drag me off to our first class together. "What half of the body was it?"

"The top half." I frown, images of the man's body popping into my head again. "Why?"

"Eww. Can you imagine whoever found the first half?!" We both stop and turn to stare at each other quietly before bursting out into dark laughter. Eww is right.

Our English Teacher walks in as I'm resting my head on my desk, watching Kate balance her pencil across her nose out of the corner of my eye. "As I'm sure you all know that the Police found a body in the woods last night. Now, I'm sure all of your eager little minds are coming up with all kinds of macabre scenarios as to what happened..." he says. None of the students seem to be truly listening, except for me and Kate who share a glance and small smile as she puts her pencil down on her desk. "I'm here to tell you, that the Police have a suspect in custody," Another shared glance between me and Kate, this time with a frown and shrug from her.

"Which means, that you can give your undivided attention to the syllabus which is on your desks outlining the semester." The Teacher finishes saying as he writes what I assume will be our first lesson topic on the chalk board behind his desk. The class collectively groans as they start looking at the syllabus. Slowly, I lift my head off my desk to begin flipping through my syllabus. I seem to have the worst migraine coming on, and I am not in the mood.

Riiiing. Riiiing.

I flinch, looking around to see who has their phone's volume up on full blast with the most basic ringtone there ever was. Nobody else seems to be reacting, not even Kate. Frowning, I still hear ringing when I finally look out the window to my left and see a blonde teenage girl answering her phone while rummaging through her messenger bag. "Nat, calling me again? Don't you think you're overdoing it a little?" I hear her say as I raise my eyebrow and quickly look around in confusion. There's no way I'm hearing her from in here, I must be getting punked or something...

Looking back out the window slowly, I see her still in the same position. She's pretty, with an accent I can't quite place. "Everything except a pen," I hear her continue to whoever is on the other end of the line. "Tell me I didn't actually forget a pen?!" She groans, getting up as the principal walks out towards her. "Gotta go, love ya, bye!!!" She hangs up quickly.

"Sorry to keep you waiting. I'll show you to your class." The principal says, leading her into the school. "So, I know you all have said that your family moves around a lot, but I hope that Beacon Hill's will be your last stop for a while." I hear him say as they get out of sight. I continue to hear two sets of footsteps as I assume they have entered the school, and they seem to be getting closer.

The door to the classroom opens and it's them. "Class, this is our new student, Yelena Belova. Please do your best to make her feel welcome." He nods before leaving, and the girl - Yelena - makes her way further into the classroom. She moves confidently, a soft yet stoic expression on her face as she makes her way down the row of students at desks until she reaches the empty seat behind me and sits down. Without thinking about it, I spin around in my seat and offer her my extra pencil.

She startles slightly, furrowing her brows as she looks at the pencil before glancing to my face and giving me a small smirk. "Thanks." We make eye contact as she takes the offered pencil, and it takes me a second before I can break my concentration on those beautiful hazel eyes. "You're welcome." I whisper, turning back around in my seat with a small smile.

Later, I'm back at my locker to put away my materials and grab what's needed for practice. Today has been tiring, my head nonstop pounding no matter what I do for it. With a painful groan, I lean my ahead against the cool metal as I shut my locker door, slowly turning to look out at the hall. The new girl, Yelena is at her locker down the hall. We make eye contact for a brief second and she sends me a small smile with a wave before someone comes up to her.

It's Wanda. Of course it is, pretty girls tend to group together. I can't quite make out what they're saying from my position, which is confusing to me since I was so clearly able to hear her this morning but I chalk it up to sleep deprivation and this killer migraine. They seem to getting along pretty well when Vision sneaks up behind Wanda to give her a big hug. The excited squeal she lets out as he spins her around and into a kiss is something I do pick up, unfortunately. Grimacing, I look away as Kate and another one of our classmates comes up to me.

"Can someone tell me how new girl is here all of ten minutes and she's already being accepted by Queen Maximoff?"

"She's hot." Kate says in answer, letting her eyes roam over Yelena with a slight tint of color in her cheeks. "Beautiful people herd together." She shrugs, putting things into her locker as she echoes my earlier sentiments. I chuckle, looking back at the trio across the hall as I tuck my hair behind my ear.

Suddenly, I start to hear bits of their conversation before it seems to come into focus. I frown in confusion. "So, this weekend. There's a party." Wanda says, her voice low yet excited. She has Visions arms around her from behind, the boy towering over her as he leans his head down to rest his chin on top of her.

"A party?" Yelena says with a tilt of her head. "Yeah, maybe you should come."

"I don't know... It's family night this Friday, I'd have to try to get out of it and my sister isn't easily convinced."

Vision frowns. "Are you sure? Everyone is going after the skirmish." He says, as if that should sway her.

"You mean like football?"

"No, lacrosse. Football is a joke around here." He laughs, moving his head to look down at Wanda.

Wanda smiles slightly, not meeting his look. "The team is about to practice in a few minutes, if you want to join me in the bleachers to watch?"

"Sure." Yelena says with a grin, throwing one last glance down the hallway at me before she follows them away.

Smiling to myself, I look at Kate as she finishes grabbing what she needs. If Yelena was going to be watching practice, then now we really had a reason to put in an effort. Nothing like trying to impress a pretty girl to help push you harder, and who knows... maybe I would make first line.
