Summary
Abby and Rey knew one thing. They were not children. They were weapons. They were made to be weapons and never anything more. Both of them experiments designed to be mindless slaves and fight for things neither of them could understand.Rey was designed to be unstoppable. The DNA of Francis Freeman and Wade Wilson should have given him the ability to not feel pain and regenerate at enhanced speeds.Abby was designed to be manipulative. The power of the mind stone and HYDRA's training should have given her abilities strong enough to defeat armies. But things don't always stay how they were designed. And things go wrong.Especially experiments.

Officer Henry Wilkins - Rey

"We just want to help you." Said a smiling brunette man.

Why did people always want to help me?

I don't need help. I'm fine. I was on my own for four years and I was fine.

My mother, well adoptive/step-mother died when I was seven.

My father, well adoptive/DNA father did a bunch of cocaine then blew himself up in an explosion not long after.

I'd jumped from foster home to foster home.

Nobody had wanted to keep a problem child like me.

"Aggressive." Voices echoed in my head. "Maniacal." So many voices. "Thief." Word after word. "Dangerous."

Every foster home I'd been to had complained about me. I blame my fathers, it's their shitty DNA that made me this way.

I'd ran away from my tenth foster home at eleven. I've been on my own ever since. And I was fine.

"Could you tell me your name?" The man continued in a happy tone.

Why was he happy?

I sat cross legged in an office, there was a police officer next to me and handcuffs on my wrists. Opposite me at the table was the brunette man, a smile on his face. He was another officer.

"How about if I tell you my name?" The man continued. "I'm Officer Henry Wilkins, but you may call me Henry. The lovely lady behind you is Officer Guville." His smile showed all of his teeth. His unnaturally white teeth. "Now can you tell me your name?"

I don't reply, instead raising an eyebrow at him.

"You're obviously a minor."

Well done Sherlock how could you tell?

"I don't want to see you sent to juvie just for shoplifting some food and water." He started to rifle through the things I'd stolen. Two bottles of water, a cheese sandwich and a packet of crisps.

Oh whoop de doo. Would he like a medal for being so kind and generous?

"Where are your parents?"

My adoptive/step-mother was dead. Her name was Vanessa.
My birth mother was arrested by a man made of metal and a gothy teenager. Her name was Angel.
My adoptive/DNA father was high on cocaine before he blew himself up and abandoned me. His name was Wade.
My other DNA father was an evil scientist who tortured people to create slaves. He was killed by my favourite Dad. His name was Ajax though Dad always called him Francis.

If that doesn't make sense let me explain. And to make it easier I'll even use their names.

Francis wanted the ultimate soldier. He took DNA from himself and then from a man named Wade Wilson. This DNA had the potential to create someone with no pain receptors and enhanced regeneration.

That DNA mix was then placed into a fertilised egg which was then implanted into a woman called Angel. This put super strength into the mix.

When I was born Wade thought it was unfair to have me live a life like that so when he escaped he took me with him and adopted me. His girlfriend, Vanessa became my adoptive mother.

Then she died.
He got high and blew himself up.
And I was alone again.

I don't answer Henry's question. I doubt he would believe me even if I did.

"I can't help you if you don't work with me here." Henry frowned slightly, the first time his unnatural smile had dropped.

Seeing his smile drop made me happy. It meant that I'd won. I'd been silent and stubborn longer than he'd pretended to care about me.

I'd won.

Now I could talk.

"I don't want your help." I looked up to stare at him, my glare cold. "Nor do I need it."

"Ah so you do speak." Henry's smile came back in full leaving an uncomfortable sensation in my stomach. "I was starting to think you were mute." He continued.

"No I just don't like talking to idiots who pretend to care about me."

Officer Guville tensed behind me.

"Look here kiddo." Henry murmured, any hint of a smile on his face fully gone now. "Seeing as you're obviously not cooperating I now have to search the databases for you." He pulled up his keyboard and started to type. "Could take hours and now we're all going to be here for a while."

I scoff indignantly at his comment. "You act as though these things affect me."

"They do." He replied, not even looking up from his computer screen. "Because when I find out who you are. Because I will. Then I will have to call your parents and then this entire thing becomes so much more complicated."

He says that like my parents would be sad about it. The only one who would feel minor disappointment at me would be Vanessa because of her moral compass.

But she's gone now so it doesn't matter.

We stay in silence for a good hour or so. Officer Guville had let me eat the sandwhich and crisps and drink some water.

She was my favourite officer. She didn't feel the need to force a fake smile on her face or pretend to care about me. She was quiet and calm and much more likable than Officer Henry Wilkins.

You better have read his name mockingly. And if you didn't then you need to read that sentence again and really use that sarcasm there on his name.

"Well then this is interesting." He murmured after another hour of searching. Turning back to me, he smiled his toothy smile showing all of his unnaturally white teeth.

"It's nice to meet you Rey."
