Summary
Peter touched his unmarked scent glands. His frail, dirty hands itched with the need to nest. After a few moments he gave in, dragging the blanket to the corner of the room so two sides of his nest could be the wall.He shivered. He was so cold, most omegas were, but most omegas had hundreds of blankets, and an alpha to keep them warm. He shuddered at the thought of Skip in his “nest”.One day, maybe he’d have an actual alpha.Little did he know it would be that day….

Chapter 3

Peter hid behind his new alpha. Safe. Home. Love.

The growl came from Skip.

"That omega is my property!" He said loudly, Slurring in drunkeness.

"You seem to be in no state to take care of yourself, much less this precious omega here. Besides, I see no mating mark, and you don't smell scented." Alpha Tony Said, Wrapping an arm around Manto profectively, "Besides, he's my mate."

Skip roaned, swiping at Alpha Ben once before he was taken away by guards.

Terror was making Peter’s  vision swim, and he stumbled.

Away from hands touching him.

They were going to hurt him.

They were going to use him.

They were going to hate him.

They were going to—

“Breathe, love. You're okay.”

Safe. Home. Love. Roses, mint, sunshine, pies.

"Breathe, my omega you. You're safe. He's gone. Just focus on breathing ok?" A voice said.

He blinked his eyes open slowly. "Alpha?" He asked hesitantly. Alpha Tony moved to embrace him.

”There you go, Petey. That's it. You're okay.”

He buried his face in the Alpha's scent glands.

“Hi love. You’ve got such pretty eyes. Like Bambi - from the show?” Alpha said.

”Bam-bee?" Manto asked, concerned.

Alpha smiled comfortingly.

“it’s a movie about a really cute deer with big adorable brown eyes like yours. "He explained.

Peter shrugged.

He had no idea what a movie was, let a "dear"

He was ignoring his twitchy hands which were begging for him to build him and his new alpha a nest.

" What's wrong?" Alpha asked suddenly.

Peter flinched from his suddenness, and Alpha frowned, but didn't say anything, instead letting Peter speak.

"I'm an omega” He said simply.

Alpha only looked at him, confused "I thought we'd established that fact already?" He said.

Peter wrang his hands nervously.

”I'm sorry it's just.. it's getting close to my... uh. time... and I think meeting you triggered my instincts..." He said carefully.

"What instincts?" Alpha asked, confused.

An omega, who was cleaning tables leaned over.

“Your Majesty, might I implor the option of getting your omega son nesting supplies?" She asked gently.

Alpha looked at Peter, "You want to nest, my love?" He asked.

Peter shamefully nodded. "I don't need much.... I don't need more than one blanket." He responded carefully.

What if Alpha Tony  didn't want his nice blanket on Peter’s  dirty body? What if - his thoughts get cut off by Alpha Tony talking.

"My love, look at me. You're okay, it's day You can have as many pillows and blankets as you want C'mon. I'll show you where the nesting room is.”

Peter looks up of him in surprise. "Whole room... for... nesting?” He asked, eyes big.

Alpha Tony nodded encouragingly and held out his hand for the small omega, who took it. cautiously, "It's this way."

Peter followed Alpha past corridors and rooms, until they reached a large, closed door.

"Right here, my love." Tony opened the door, and Peter’s eyes went as large as saucers.

Before them was the pack nesting  room.

Hundreds of blankets and pillows were scattered across the room, and the floor was made of this special plush, pillow-like material.

peter didn’t want to touch anything for fear of getting it dirty.

”Wow.” He said quietly. “People actually have blankets?”
