Summary
At the age of fifteen, Ruby May dies and goes to Valhalla. When she was alive, her biggest dream was to become an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. like her mother. Will she become what she always wanted to be?
Note
You did read the tags correctly. In this fanfic (and in other PJO and AOS crossover fanfics by me) May and Annabeth's stepmother are sisters. It was a very random idea that I had based on her description in The Titan's Curse that I read whilst writing the most recent chapter of Searching.

Meeting Percy Jackson

The manticore had managed to injure Jackson so I helped him patch it up. The other young demigod boy kept on spouting nonsense about his favourite card game, Mythomagic, whatever that was. The kid remarked on the greenness of Jackson's shoulder wound. He said something along the lines of it being cool. "A green wound is a sign of an infection. Infected wounds are not a good thing," I said, Hopefully, it would allow the kid to learn from Jackson's wound.

"Whoa! It's still cool, though!" The kid said. "Who are you?"

"Ruby May," I answered.

"Percy Jackson," Jackson said.

"I know," I responded.

"I'm Nico," the younger demigod said.

I finished bandaging Jackson's shoulder and went to the tent in which Lady Artemis was talking to the demigod girl. Apparently, her name was Bianca. Lady Artemis was offering her a position in the Hunt just as she (and Odin) had once done with me. She had told me to go to her tent after I had finished patching Jackson up. "Ruby," Lady Artemis said as soon as I had entered the tent, "this is Bianca. Bianca, this is Ruby. She comes from special circumstances. She is proof that we accept all girls, no matter their previous circumstances as long as they meet our criteria."

"Wait, special circumstances?" Bianca asked.

"It's a long story," I replied. "I'd rather not talk about it." I didn't want to have to relive any of that. Also I couldn't tell her. I wasn't allowed to.

"Right. Sorry."

"No. Do not apologise. You do not know my reasons or my past."

It wasn't long before Jackson joined us in the tent. "Are you going to be offering him a place too?" I joked.

"No." She smirked. I could tell that she was holding back a laugh. It was well within her power to turn this boy into a girl. However, I doubted that the boy would actually like that. Lady Artemis asked Jackson about the manticore had said. Zoe and I sat next to her as we listened. The boy seemed nervous. Though, that was probably from talking to a literal goddess. I had been nervous the first few times as well. At one point, Jackson mentioned that the manticore had talked about someone called 'The General'. I tensed and gripped Zoe's arm. I could tell that it brought back some bad memories for Zoe.

Bianca ended up joining the Hunt. That was good. I always liked getting a new sister. It meant that I wasn't the newest. I hadn't been the newest in a while, but it was still nice. Lady Artemis had decided to go on a hunt by herself, so we would all have to go to Camp Half-Blood to wait for her to finish her hunt. I had never been to the camp so it was going to be another new experience for me. Apollo was going to pick us up in his sun chariot and take us there.
