Summary
Once the loom was saved and everyone was returned to their timelines Loki finally has a little family of his own. He's put in a lot of work to be the person they need him to be and he's watched the two boys grow and live to the fullest they can. They have some rules though. Rule number one highlighted, underlined, bold, circled in red and glowing with neon was that they never go anywhere near New York. Sean is getting ready to attend college and the allure of a forbidden place cannot be ignored any longer so...he decides he's going to New York. Oh joy.
Note
My friend: Hey you really need to get back to that actual book your writing I really want to find out what happens next.Me: Yeah I know I just finished a fanfic so I should be able to get back to it. *proceeds to write more fanfiction because I just cannot keep ideas out of my head*Hello dear readers, it wasn't my intention to be back soon, but this idea as usual sunk it's claws in and I can't let it go so I'm going to try and juggle working on WIP as well as this strange little story I've cooked up for you guys. Anyways, as it says in the tag I did a thing. I've read a few fics where it's domestic Lokius raising Sean and Kev together while they're young, but I have yet to see any done where they are older and I just thought it would be interesting to play around with that idea. I have four chappies written so far and I'm going to try and post weekly, it might be more than that, but at least a chppie a week and I have no idea how long this is gonna be. I'm just kind of throwing the first chappie out there to see how this does. Hopefully it won't flop. Feel free to comment and let me know what you think because comments are better than crack. Alrighty I'm going to stop rambling now. Can you tell I'm nervous?Oh P.S. If any of you who know my other story are reading this one I apologize the first couple of chappie's might be on the shorter side. I am absolute ass at writing fluff I don't know why, but I am trying to make them a decent length. I usually attempt to hit at least a thousand words for every chappie.

A Day in the Park Part Two

Chapter 30: A Day in the Park Part Two

The boys were on their second game of soccer when Loki started to get an odd sense. Like they were being watched. He didn't react at all. He remained relaxed because he wasn't sure if it was just his paranoia spiking or if there was anything to it. It was very possible it was absolutely nothing. So he took a deep breath and just casually started to look around a little more closely.

There were Sean and Kevin and the kids they were playing soccer with. Across the way there was a younger girl who appeared to be seven or eight maybe with reddish brown hair. There was a man next to her in a light jacket and a hat...a baseball cap if he believed. Nearby there also sat a heavier set man in a surprisingly sharp black suit trying to act like he wasn't with them as he sat on a bench and flicked through a newspaper. Their backs were to him, but they were both fully engrossed in flying their kite so clearly they were fine. He moved on. There was a couple splayed out on a blanket. They had a basekt with them and they were enjoying a glass of wine. A couple office workers who had the misfortune of working on a weekend enjoying their alotted hour for lunch getting some fresh air.

He looked over everyone a second time, but so far no one was really setting off any sort of alarms for him so he relaxed again. Maybe he was just being paranoid after all. There were also a couple people with their dogs as well. He had once or twice thought about maybe getting one of the creatures, they reminded him of Fenrir, but things were always so hectic with the boys. Maybe now that Sean was out of the house. He felt he would need something to take care of and a loyal companion that would defend and his little family. Kevin would certainly enjoy it to.

He was just about to mention this particular line of thinking to Mobius when one of the old men walking his dog suddenly seemed to catch his eye. He narrowed his eyes just a little at him. Something didn't feel right about the way that he was watching the younger kids in the park and then seeming to look around every now and then. Using his dog as an excuse to do so. Trying to see who was and wasn't paying attention.

Anger sparked in his chest as he realized this man was intending to try and nab some of the more unsuspecting children in the park. He had a particular eye on the girl flying the kite and much to his disbelief Kevin. He pretended to stretch casually with a hum before he pushed himself up. "I'll be right back. I have to go use the restroom. If I remember correctly there was one not to far from here."

Mobius looked over to him. "Alright." He said as he clicked off his phone and put it in his pocket. He could return to his crossword once Loki got back. "I'll keep an eye on the boys while you're gone."

Loki leaned down and pressed a kiss to his cheek before he slipped off one of the bracelets and cloaked himself from sight. He strode over to the older man and grabbed his shoulder and before he could make a sound he disappeared with him with so little commotion no one even really seemed to notice.

"Boss!! Boss! I know you said you didn't want to be bothered, but I'm picking up on that same magical signature that I picked up on a couple months ago. It's in here in the park. I'm tracing it right now."

Tony startled from where he was standing next to Morgan. Watching her proudly fly the beautiful metal kite she had crafted not to long with some help from him and Friday was right. He had asked not to be disturbed. Whenever he was with Morgan nothing else really mattered except giving her his time. He would never let himself be the absent father Howard had been. He would never make Morgan feel that way. This...this was pretty important though. They needed to know if this unregistered was going to be a threat they would have to worry about. Although he was really hoping it wouldn't be. "Morgan?"

"Yeah daddy?" She asked as she looked up to him.

"I gotta take one quick call, but it's only because it's super important. I will be right back. Alright?"

Morgan pouted, not happy about it, but it didn't happen often so she nodded. "Okay, but hurry back. I want to see if we can get my kite higher."

He smiled. "You know I will." He said before he looked over to Happy. Happy looked back to him with a nod.

Tony mouthed a thank you before he started for the walking path. "Alright baby girl." Tony muttered to the ear piece. "Where am I going?"

As soon as they popped up behind one of the more discreet bathrooms in the park that would allot him a bit of privacy Loki grabbped the man by his shirt collar and roughly shoved him against the wall and the mans shadow wrapped it's arm around with an impossible strength.

"Wh-what the hell are you?! One of those mutant freaks? Help!!"

Loki shook his head. "No one's going to hear you." He said as he called for one of his daggers and loomed over the man with a cold hatred in his expression and fury burning in his blue eyes. He hadn't removed the band that removed his glamour. He would have enough magic with just the one off to take care of this cur. "As for what I am, I fear I am far far worse than one of your mutants. I'm also a father. Who doesn't take kindly to his children being sized up for your perverted fetishes." He seethed as he rested the tip of the dagger right up against his throat.

The man gulped. "I..I don't kn-know what you're talking about."

Loki reached up with the hand that no longer had the bracelet on it and gripped the mans head in his own and shut his eyes as he took a delve in his head. Sylvie had taught him quite a few things before they had parted ways at the TVA.

As he flitted through the mans head nauseau churned in his stomach as he saw the misdeeds he had done against children. What he had planned for some of the ones he had been looking at in the park. Including Kevin. The things that were done to them. He could hear their pleas. Crying for their parents to come and help them. He yanked his hand away and only then did he realize he was crying for them and his hand shook a little. "You belong in the coldest wastes of Hel. Where you will be entirely forgotten by anyone who might have some reason to remember you."

The man shook his head as he started to beg and Loki just shushed him. "And so long ago I would not have thought twice about sending you there here and now."

He saw hope bloom on the mans face.

"Of course I'll let you live. After all. Police first need to speak with you so that they can go get those children you have taken."

 "I won't tell them anything."

"I beg to differ." Loki grabbed the mans arm and flipped his forearm up. Without a second thought he used the dagger to carve an intricate rune into the mans arm. His mouth open, but the sounds of pain completely silenced.

Once Loki was done he healed over it, but made sure it scarred. He waved away the dagger and placed his hand right over and let some of his seidr seep in to the rune to make sure it was active. He pulled his hand away after. "You will no longer be able to lie. You can certainly try, but you will find a rather harsh pain waiting for you if you do. If you try and somehow get rid of the rune doing so will forfeit your life." Before the man could protest further Loki reached up and slammed his head against the wall hard enough to knock him out for a little while and the shadow released him. Letting him crumple to the ground.

Loki stomped hard on his leg to break it and then pulled out his phone to call autorities. He gave them his exact location, the description and the name of the man as well as a general run down of what they would be dealing with and what they needed to ask him about. He did not give his name before he hung up and let out a sigh as he made his way around to the front of the bathroom to collect himself and try and purge what he had seen from his mind before he returned to his boys.

Tony watched behind one of the trees not to near and he wasn't sure what to make of the whole scene. What he did know was this man was powerful. Obviously. Part of him wondered how he had managed to go unnoticed for so long. He didn't...seem to be a threat per se. If what he had told the police about the man was true, but was he good?

At the very least there was no choice. He would have to have a conversation with this man. "What do you have for me Friday?"

"His name is Lyle Mobius sir. He grew up in Norway, seemed to be a pretty normal kid. He moved to the states about twelve years ago and became a citizen about that time with his marraige to one Mobius M. Mobius-"

Tony couldn't help the snort. "God his parents must have hated him with a name like that."

"He doesn't appear to have much to his name. He doesn't seem to work. He doesn't have any sort of a bank account from what I can see. His credentials are in order. Passport, social, ID, Norwegian Birth Certificate. It says here he use to be a doctor, but...something happened. He had to leave that career."

"Great! So where does his husband live? Here in the city?"

"No boss. It looks like Mobius's son Sean Mobius lives here in New York. He just got an apartment three months ago. He's set to attend classes at NYU in Manhattan. Lyle and Mobius seem to live in Ohio. There's a house there in Mobius's name."

Tony looked after the direction the man had gone in. Wondering if he should seek them out tonight.

"Boss don't forget it's Mrs. Stark's birthday. Tonight is the party."

"Shit that's right. I'm not forgetting her birthday. I'll have to arrange a business trip to Ohio sometime soon. Fri baby get me an excuse to go there. I just want to have a chat. See how much this guy really cares about the keeping the peace." He started to walk away, but then paused. "Hey Fri, keep an eye on the police. I want to see the interview with that guy."

 "You got it Boss."
