Summary
Once the loom was saved and everyone was returned to their timelines Loki finally has a little family of his own. He's put in a lot of work to be the person they need him to be and he's watched the two boys grow and live to the fullest they can. They have some rules though. Rule number one highlighted, underlined, bold, circled in red and glowing with neon was that they never go anywhere near New York. Sean is getting ready to attend college and the allure of a forbidden place cannot be ignored any longer so...he decides he's going to New York. Oh joy.
Note
My friend: Hey you really need to get back to that actual book your writing I really want to find out what happens next.Me: Yeah I know I just finished a fanfic so I should be able to get back to it. *proceeds to write more fanfiction because I just cannot keep ideas out of my head*Hello dear readers, it wasn't my intention to be back soon, but this idea as usual sunk it's claws in and I can't let it go so I'm going to try and juggle working on WIP as well as this strange little story I've cooked up for you guys. Anyways, as it says in the tag I did a thing. I've read a few fics where it's domestic Lokius raising Sean and Kev together while they're young, but I have yet to see any done where they are older and I just thought it would be interesting to play around with that idea. I have four chappies written so far and I'm going to try and post weekly, it might be more than that, but at least a chppie a week and I have no idea how long this is gonna be. I'm just kind of throwing the first chappie out there to see how this does. Hopefully it won't flop. Feel free to comment and let me know what you think because comments are better than crack. Alrighty I'm going to stop rambling now. Can you tell I'm nervous?Oh P.S. If any of you who know my other story are reading this one I apologize the first couple of chappie's might be on the shorter side. I am absolute ass at writing fluff I don't know why, but I am trying to make them a decent length. I usually attempt to hit at least a thousand words for every chappie.

Home at Last

Chapter 21: Home at Last

Once he got to the airport and got all checked in once he headed to the restroom and procured a stall for himself before he promptly took off the bracelets and tucked them in his pocket. He took himself to Seans apartment and thanked his lucky stars that it was empty before without further ado he got to work. He was on a timer.
He retrieved a journal from one of his pocket dimensions and he got out a smaller dagger with a very fine sharp tip and found the four corner points of the apartment that would make up the perimeter.

He laid down on his stomach in the first corner and opened to one of the pages in his journal and set to work carving the first of the horribly complex protection runes. One of them will act as a barrier and only Mobius, himself and Sean would be able to enter without permission. Anyone else would need his explicit express permission to enter the apartment otherwise they would not be able to enter.

Once that one was done he moved onto the next one. One that would make the building damn near indestructible. The structure would be able to take much more of a beating than the rest of the units. Pretty much unless the building collapsed underneath his unit he should be fine for the most part.

The third one was to further strengthen both of the first two and make sure they held up.

The fourth was a healing rune. As long as he was in his apartment when he felt sick or got hurt the edge would be taken off any discomfort he felt and he would recover a little faster than he would outside of these walls. It would ensure he slept a little easier as well to make sure he would be well rested to focus on his classes. There was more. So much more that he wanted to do, but this would have to be enough.

Once he finished with the last one he put everything back in his pocket dimensions and then stood by the first one and started pouring magic into it. He poured magic into everyone until a strong green glow wrapped around the perimeter of the property before it faded out, but he could tell it was still in effect. He grabbed the his suitcase and teleported back to the airport and slipped out to wait for his flight. Sending up endless prayers to let that be enough.

 "Boss I got a location!"

Tony startled awake where he had fallen asleep on the couch at Friday's excited shout. "That's great Fri..." he groaned as he pushed himself up. "Location for what?"

"I picked up up on another trace of magic. Same as the last, but a lot stronger this time. At a completely different place though."

Tony woke up immediately at that and he scrambled for the tablet. "Show me what you got."

The spike along with data about how long it had long it had lasted and the location. "I just don't know which apartment it came from. One of the higher up ones."

Tony stroked at his chin as he thought about what do. "Start keeping a closer eye on anyone who lives on the tenth floor and up. Let me know of anything weird that you find."

"Yes Boss! I will make sure to have something for you by the end of the week!"

"That's my girl." He said through a yawn.

A couple floors below Thor looked up as he felt the faint sensation of a prayer to the old Gods, but it felt familiar. He looked around. Almost as if he expected to see his brother standing there. Returning to him from the shadows with the news that his death on the Statesman had just been another one of those crafty ideas of his to get away.

He sighed as he closed his eyes though. He knew it couldn't be. There would be getting him back. He was gone. He had made his peace with that, but there were moments like these when he still couldn't hope, but help. He had been thinking about his brother a lot the last couple of days. Things had died down quite a bit since the fight with Thanos and he had needed a little time before he returned to News Asgard, but perhaps it was time.

Loki let out a sigh of relief as he stepped into his their safe little home in their safe little unassuming town in Ohio with all it's safe little streets and businesses. His suitcase in tow this time and he left it by the stairs to unpack later. He shed the silver cuffs for the last time for a while and let out a sigh at last as he felt his magic rushing through him again.

He had called and gotten the delivery for the desk and couch set up while he had been waiting for his flight after he had dealt with the runes so the first thing he did was toe off his shoes, twitch a finger to turn on the lamp in the living room by his little reading nook and put on kettle of water to boil while he leaned against the counter and set to work reading the two letters they had from Kevin so far.

Laughing here and there like when he first described the incident of a bat that had gotten into one of the boys bunks and the camp counselor having to chase it out. That must have been quite a scene indeed. Much to his delight he was also getting along famously with Macy, but he was a little shy around her, how cute.

Reading some of his more nervous rambling about her reminded him about how adorably shy and awkward Mobius had been when he had first been trying to first figure out what he was feeling for him and then trying to hide it...and then finally just coming out with it one day.

Not that Loki had fared any better. Mobius was stuck in the mindset of Loki being a God how could he possibly be interested in a "frumpy old human" (his words not Loki's, Loki had bonked him on the head for talking about himself that way). Loki had been stuck in the mindset of Mobius was far to good for him. He could never have him. And both of them had been so scared and anxious about screwing up the friendship they had been to oblivious to other's very obvious attraction.

Needless to say it was amazing the two of them ever got anywhere honestly.

He was halfway through the first letter when his kettle started screeching so he pulled it off he heat and made himself a cup of almond tea and then brought it out to the living room with him to his little nook and settled down to read the rest of the letters. He also made sure to send a text to both Mobius and Sean and let them know that he had had made it home safely.
