A walk including wonder
The adults looked at one another, it felt like he was a little kid being told he wasn't old enough to join the big kids table on thanksgiving. Rue could definitely say he wasn't a fan of this feeling in the least, it kind of gave him deja'vu, he's definitely felt this before.
"well... you see Rue, logan is just a bit gruff if you will, he's so old he doesn't have many manners left.", Scott was clearly trying to calm and joke with him.
It didn't make Rue feel any better, after finding out Logan wanted to interrogate him. Even though he didn't do anything wrong, he just woke up in an unknown place as well as injured.
Rue turned away from Logan, cluching Ben, not wanting to look at Logan any longer.
"could we just finish the tests?"
Jean looked like she wanted to argue or at least defend Logan before nodding reluctantly. Quickly making motions for the other X-men to leave or at least quit swarming so that she could prep the next test. The others moved away from Rue without a word, scott at least gave him a comforting pat on the back before shifting over to lean against the wall.
Logan lingered a minute longer than strom, he looked like he wanted to say something to Rue, before shaking his head and moving back to a different wall than Scott.
Jean motioned for Rue to step forward again, looking close he could see a needle that would be used for drawing blood. He stepped forward nervously, something in him said that needles weren't safe regardless of who held it. Rue quickly shushed the voice and stepped closer to Jean.
"I'm just going to draw some more blood in case we missed something, instead of just looking for the X-gene, we will look for any irregular parts to your DNA, ok Rue?", Jean asked softly looking him in the eyes.
Rue nodded feeling bashful for being so nervous, Jean clearly meant him not harm no matter what the weird scared voice said.
Before putting the needle in Jean gently wiped his forearm with a disinfectant wipe. She held his arm with a gental yet firm grip, focused on not harming him while putting the needle into his arm
