Arachnid Reborn

New Life

POV: peter
You know, dying is SOOO not fun. I mean come on, having to fight your best friend while he is possessed by a black slime monster that turns out to be an alien that wants to destroy the world is definitely not fun.
There is so much I wish I could change. As you know, hindsight is 20/20, but looking back, I just wish I could get a second chance. As my surrounding fad to dark, my consensus goes as well, I accept my fate. Then a burst of light like that of the big bang hits my eyelids. With my eyes fully open, everything is a blur, but as my eyes adjust, I see it the dull white of a hospital seal. I immediately put my hand up to see if my mask is still on, but as my hand moved closer to my face, I stop and saw that my hands were really small, almost like a babies. (loses consensus/ goes to sleep)

Time skip: one sleep later

As I panicked on what was is going on, I pass out from exhaustion. I only realised this when I woke up. Who knows how many hours later a nurse picked me up to change my diaper? God that was embarrassing, but as the nurse finally left, I was able to fully look around the room, but realising that I could not sit up, I resorted to turning my head to the right, where I saw another baby sleeping in its hospital bed. This reminded me that I had indeed been reborn. God, this was not going to be good. As I turned my head to the left, I saw a GOD DAME RED baby. What the hell? Why is no one trying to treat the baby? As I keep looking at the red baby for a while, I finally understand that the baby is breathing fine assuming it's a skin condition. As I move my head and stairs at the sealing, I go back to sleep.

The next few days go by in a blur as I am constantly eating, sleeping, or drinking milk, but I do not leave that room. but I do learn that I am not in America or any English-speaking country as I keep hearing from what I assume is Japan from the nurses and doctors as the days pass and less time is left in that room as I see what must be their parents taking them home. After a few days, all that is left is me and the red baby. I have seen our parents, assuming that both of us must have been hard on our respective mothers, until I see two adults enter the room. As I look at them, I see that one of the adults is also red, just like the baby. As the red baby leaves with their family, I am left all alone in a quiet room. I fall asleep and think, where are my parents?

The next day, after the loss of dignity from a diaper change and milk, I am left alone until as man comes it, he is not a doctor or nurse, as he is not wearing the light blue scrubs or doctor’s coat that the hospital staff would wear, he walks closer and closer to me, I start to see details like his long grey hair and that he walks with a limp to his right, but before I get to look at him more, he picks me up and pulls me closer to his face, and that is where I see his watery eyes, the eyes of a man that has just cry, and I mean fully 100% cry until nothing is left. As he is holding me, the man in a soft tone just says, Let's go home Peter (there is a pause) He starts to walk out of the room, slowly carrying me in his arms. This is where I fully realise what he said to me. He called me Peter in English, not like the Japanese the staff spoke in. He called me Peter Meaning, that I have the same name as my previous life as well as, finally, someone from my new family.

Time skip: 6 months

Well you learn a lot of thing in just 6 months like that I am not in my original world it is like 200 years in the future and I do not see flying cars as well the fact the man that took me Home is my Grandpa (inset name) Parker and that it is only me and him of course he didn’t say that himself but it is that the house has pictures and when you have an IQ north of 250 and see pictures were a young man is standing next to a clearly pregnant woman who both look the same age and behind them is grandpa smiling behind both of them it makes it easy to understand that they were my parents and the fact that only me and him are in the house ever makes it easy to guess that it is only me and him. Also over theses six months I can finally understand Japanese as that was the only language on tv which with the style of the house and grandpa’s shopping trips with me made it was clear that we live in Japan were I do not know but definitely Japan with that being said during my shopping drips I noticed more and more people that looked different and not in the dressing like a goth way but the fact that they had obvious mutation like scales or horns which really bothered me as it didn’t make scientific sense to me as so meany people were like this as well as there being a lot of people cosplaying as super heroes which added to the confusion with the fact that I could not speak, all I could do was question what is going on and it wasn’t until one day that grampa was watching a documentary titled “The Shining Baby and the origins of quirks” were my questions were answered as apparently over 180 years ago in China a baby was born radiating light like a glow stick which was the first documented case of someone being born with superpowers.

OK, so quick history lesson More and more people discovered that they had superpowers, like the mutants in my first life. Governments around the world started to notice that the only people with these superpowers were kids, and with governments and superpowered kids, the expected happened with hundreds of these kids being taken from their parents under false pretences like cures or for protection and the bunch, but what really happened was horrid and brutal experiences like that of Hydra from my first life. With the experiments happing behind closed doors and these superpowers becoming more known, it was not until a baby was born with the power to turn objects that he touched into nuclear explosives, destroying a city that the shitshow happened as anti-metahuman (metahuman was the term used back then for superpowers people) groups were formed from this incident, with this also starting the second cold war with all the worlds countries forming secrete alliances With the war and the presence of meta abilities (superpowers). spec ops task forces with child and teen meta humans started a string of assassination on world leader so long nearly all the governments around the world collapsed with this militias started to form as people started to realise that all the assassination were impossible for regular people so the anti-meta human groups banded together in a goal to get rid of the meta humans and so that is what they did with hundreds of kids and babies dying for wrongs they did not commit of course as this was going on the meta humans fought back forming their own groups this fighting carried on for years until it was only two big groups left meta human and anti. During this time, the metahuman group kept on getting bigger as more kids were born. Even then, more and more normal people were coming to realise that all this hate was for nothing, and slowly the pro-meta groups were able to drive the anti-meta groups into hiding, and society was able to start again.

It took years, but finally, the major wars stopped, and people were able to rebuild towns, cities, and finally, countries, with metahumans being the new normal, still making up only around 20% of the total world population. However, after such a brutal time, people only wanted a brake, and that is what happened. Metas decided to start using their abilities less for fighting but to help rebuild. All seemed good, but something new arrived because meta humans, especially kids, were still looked down on, causing the kids to get bullied, which caused resentment to form. As these kids healed, they started to want revenge on thoughts between them and the non-metas. This was the start of the term villains metas that intensively used their abilities for their own good, regular police could not stop these villains. So Meta-humans with better morals became vigilantes. This started the fight between Villains and Vigilantes which continued like an endless cycle. But in the background, people weren't realising it, but as more and more people were born, a higher percentage were metahumans, with those kids that had meta parents having much higher odds, and as time moved on, metas became normalised, and because of this, the name meta also became quirk, so now if you were a meta, you had a quirk, and if not, you were quirkless.

With more and more people being saved by vigilantes they each started to become more and more well known and eventually the new governments decided that they needed to address there increasing villain problem so what they did is form an new type of policing called heroes with them introducing law that penalised the use of quirks and distributing hero limerences that if you possessed one meant that you could use your quirk to fight villains, with already popular vigilantes being grandmad into the systems and governments forming tests that if you were over 18 you could get one. Thus, heroes became an everyday thing and with them being so popular they became the new celebrity and as their popularity rose so did the incentives and like that the world truly became obsessed with two thing heroes and quirks. I hope that clearing a few things for you definitely did for me now that the shopping trips have made so much more sense.

pov: Peter

Oh, high again. So, it has been a few years since I talked to you, and nothing much has happened. I stared kindergarten, which is boring. Grandpa is getting older, but he is a saint. So, for me, all I have been doing is learning. Yes, I am a nerd, sue me, but this world is so different, yet the same. I know contradiction, but yet it's like 200 years in the future, but tech is nearly the same as my last life as well as the Villains. But what is really different are the heroes. They are way different, whether it's the fact they get paid or the fact they are treated as infallible, but it is the only thing kids at kindergarten talk about it. Like this hero bets this hero or no this hero is better than your hero kind of like the Jordan and LeBron debate but that isn’t the best metaphor as hear everyone from toddler to a 100 year old grandmas know that the hero of heroes here is the one and only ALL MIGHT, he has been the number one hero for like 15 years yes I know they rank heroes and yes I know it bullshit but truly he is the only hero from the hundreds active the deserves the title I mean come on a 7"3, 250kg man with the body of a god that all he does is save people 24/7 I meany I remember when grandpa showed me ALL Might’s debut video on herotube (grate name) were he is walking out of a collapsed building carrying dozens of people out of danger and god is he strong I mean literally betting most of his fight in 1 punch. The only other hero who is a hero is a rookie who only recently graduated from UA.

UA UA What can I say? Oh, you don't know about UA yet. Well, the short answer is that it is a hero school. what is a hero school well remember when I said heroes are modern day celebrities well initially when the hero licence systems started they weren’t as strict on the criteria so a lot of new heroes died it was so bad that the government would give high ranking hearos the ability to scout highschoolers who wanted to be heroes but the same think kept in happening so what the Japanese government decided to do was to make the licence exam harder and also introduce a 3 year hero course curriculum into the education system which made all the private schools to become hero schools as they had the money to afford the curriculum as well as the government giving giant benefit to said school (tax breaks). Over time, these schools produced better and better heroes, with two schools producing the best: Shiketsu and UA.

I also learned that quirks normally develop around 4 years old. But any way, I asked my grandpa if my parents had quirks, and he said yes, but didn't tell me what they were, so I was stuck wondering what I would get. I guessed I was getting a quirk; if not, I could just play my genius 250 IQ off as one. Remember when I talked about how quirked kids used to be bullied? now it was the quirkless (very few), and of course, the kids that had quirks that were, as I quote villain quirks, but the ones that had it the most were the mutant types of quirks.

You want to know what the mutant types are. Well, you see, as more and more quirks pop up, society has decided to categorise them into groups, thought being mutant, emitter and transformation. There are sub-groups and all that jazz. I blame the quirkoligists (scientists that study quirks), but any way, let me explain each. Let's start with the mutants. The easiest explanation is that it is a quirk that is always active, and typically shows a physical mutation, hence the name. Think of horns or your body being like that of an anthropomorph animal, which gives you the abilities associated with of set mutation, like a frog girl can do frog stuff. Well, next is Transformation. Like the name implies, you can either transform your body or object into a specific thing. The person's body is typically normal and as strong and durable as well, but when they transform, their traits change, for example, being able to turn into a werewolf. Finally, emitter, again, like the name implies, is that you emit a certain energy or force from your body that lets you, for example, control fire or move items around without touching them. Of course, there are quirks that are mixes of each category, as well as more quirks that don't fit the categorise. Also, all quirks work like muscle, apparently saying that the more you use them, the stronger they get, as well as there being a defined limit to certain quirks as they affect the body or the mind, like fire quirks causing overheating.

Time skip one mother later

Okay, so I got my quirk, and yes, it is my spider powers. What to know when ok so the night before my four birthday I am was staying up late watch tv with Grandpa as it was a Saturday any way as the clock reaches 11pm gramps decides it is time for bed so without protest I go upstairs and into bed as I am sitting in bed I can’t seem to fall asleep after a while of tossing and turning I fall asleep and I start to dream as my dream continues it start to changes I start to see more and more spiders and slowly I realise it is the same dream that I had the night of the spider bite I start to see DNA helixes splitting and reforming over and over again until I wake up on the ceiling of my bedroom I look out the window to see it sunny outside instantly realising that I have gotten my powers back. I woke up gramps telling him I got my quirk we then went to the doctor to register my badass arachnid powers. after that ordeal I made shore to test my abilities turns out I have all the same abilities as in my last life with some being weaker like my strength probably do to my age and the fact quirks behaving like muscles.

Ok now this time it has been a while since I talked to you all not much has happened carried on living with gramps, going to school and now in the last months of middle school, number 1 hero still is All Might no surprise also that rookie I mentioned before is number 2 Endeavour. Anyway, life is good seems like parker luck does not exist in this world as badly as my in last. During this time I realised that some scientific discoveries from my past life haven’t been discovered so using my brain and the power of the internet I published a few papers and books under the name Ben Riley causing quite the fuzz in the stem world as I gave science in this world a turbo charge. I also took the time to actually train my abilities and crate my web shooters as I don’t have any friend yay. Moving away from my self-deprecation the UA entrance exam is coming up and well let’s just say UA is not expecting the Amazing Spider-Man.
