Summary
Steven wakes up in his cozy bed, with the sunlight streaming down on him through the window. He has been sleeping better since resolving everything with Khonshu but, his bed feels really warm and comfortable today. When he opens his eyes, he realizes that this is because a man is sleeping in his bed, his calm face resting not an inch away from his own, with his arms wrapped around Steven's waist...........what the fuck.
Note
This is my first fanfic. Sort of. There is a total lack of Stephen/Steven fanfics (although I'm not sure how anyone else would see the 2 of these characters and think they would make a cute pair but here we are.) So I am writing this. It may be shitty, but there is nothing else to read on this ship soooo here we go.

Chapter 1

Steven has been sleeping pretty well since the whole Khonshu deal. He has talked with Marc about what this will mean for the...relationship? they have as what they consider themselves to be brothers. Steven is just waking up, the sun is shining down on him through the window and he feels the most comfortable he has felt in a very long time. Which is weird, usually the bed is comfortable. But not like this.

He opens his eyes and.....why is there a man in his bed. A man who is holding onto him so tight that when he screams and jumps away from the man, he has to pull to leave his grasp.

"AHHHH, WHAT- WHO THE BLOODY HELL ARE YOU!"
Steven screams as he pulls free of the grasp the man had on his waist and falls off the edge of the bed. He watches as the man opens his eyes and takes in his surroundings with still-tired eyes.

"Where am I?"

"WHERE ARE YOU?! YOU ARE IN MY FLAT. AND I WOULD APPRECIATE IF YOU COULD LEAVE!"

"Okay. Okay, wait, calm down, I-I, who are you? Where am I?" The man says, his stance becoming weary as he stands from the bed on the opposite side of Steven.

"MARC-HEY MARC-look mate, if you don't leave in the next 10 seconds I will have your head on a stick" Steven says. In his mind, he is asking for Marc, but he doesn't hear him, or see him on any of the reflective surfaces surrounding the room. He picks up a snowglobe from a nearby desk and holds it up as a weapon against the man standing in his home.

"Okay. Look. I will leave, i just, can you tell me where I currently am-"

"YOU ARE IN MY HOME!"

"-yes, yes I know, but where. I don't know why I am here, but it must be for a reason."

"...what does that mean? You-you don't know how you ended up....in my bed?"

"No. No I don't. Look, I am sorry, I know this is unusual but, I am quite used to that by now. I know situations like this can be off putting but I am...an Avenger. I won't do you harm."

The man says this with a look on his face that says he is lying, although Steven can't tell which part of his statement is false. And, also...

"What are the Avengers?"

"..you don't know who the Avengers are? Okay, so I am off-world" the man pulls out a small ring looking device from his pocket and pulls it onto his hand

"What is that? Is that a weapon!" Steven says, lifting the snowglobe higher and praying for Marc to show himself. He was never good at confrontation.

"No, no. Okay, let's start with the basics. My name is Stephen Strange. I am-was a doctor, but now, I am a sorcerer. I am assuming that I am here for magic-related reasons, and since you don't know who the Avengers are it means I am not in my universe. And this is not a weapon. It is a device that helps me travel through the multiverse."

This man named Stephen lowers his hand with the ring device on it and watches Steven carefully for a reaction to what he just said.

"............my name is Steven too. Except, it is spelt s-t-e-v-e-n....what about you Dr. Stephen?" Really, it wasn't the best response to the situation considering that if this man was lying, he had just proved himself easy to take advantage of by explaining the possible similarities in their names rather then, again, asking this strange man who showed up in his bed to leave his home. This is obvious when the supposed Stephen starts to look really confused and stutters before answering.

"Uh-umm. Well, it is Stephen with a p-h...?" He looks at Steven questioningly, if that answer would suffice his unusal question in response to having told him he is a wizard from a different universe after waking up in his bed holding onto him like how a child holds onto their favorite teddy bear. He continues when Steven lowers his makeshift weapon idea of a snowglobe, "..are you not..confused? Uhm. Do you have..any questions." Stephen is suprised when Steven shakes his head.

"Well, you aren't the only one who is magical...ish." Steven says with an air of fake confidence. "We are somewhat capable of, sort of-magical things. Although, I wasn't really aware of the whole...walking through universes thing." Steven says with a chuckle.

"What do you mean by "we"?" Stephen asks carefully, concerned that, if this man also has powers, and there are other people here that also have them as well, that he may be here for that reason.

Steven's eyes go wide. While he and Marc have talked about how their situation of basically being two people in one body is odd, they have never actually figured out if it is a common occurence amongst other people. Steven is starting to wish he did a little research because telling some random magic man that he is kind of more than one person might not go over so well.

"Ah-oh, nothing, just-just, HEY, how does that ring thingy work?" Wow..that was a horrible cover-up

"That was a horrible cover up."

Shit.

"I know you also have abilities, so whatever you meant by 'we' probably won't shock me as much as you think it will. I promise-and I know this doesn't mean much from a man who showed up in your home suddenly-that I will do nothing to cause you harm. Unless you decide to attack me." Stephen says, coming to stand at the end of the bed rather than the side, closer to where Steven is.

"Oh, well. There is sort of two of me. Not really but. There is me and then there is Marc, although he isn't around right now for some reason- but we are in the same body. Sometimes it's me speaking. Sometimes it is him." Steven glances at the other man, trying to gauge if his reaction will be confusion, disgust or even fear.

Instead

"Oh, so, you have dissasociative identity disorder."

"...what does that mean?"
