The Most Loved By Death

I've come for you, bub.

Hearing those words come out of that man's mouth was more than Skull de Mort could bear, his tears cascading like water in an endless loop.

Since he had ended up in this world after the damned TVA sent him here as punishment for messing with time by saving Vanessa, he had wanted nothing more than to hear those words come out of those lips.

When he ended up here, the first thing he did was make blood rain down on the city he had ended up in, using his immortality and lethality to finish off anyone without any problem. His anger and pain were not something that simple tears would heal, so he had no choice but to show his pain in the best way he knew how, by killing.

He had spent years in this miserable world where there were no mutants, only interesting people with even more interesting flames. Wade was no stranger to the underworld, in fact, it was his cradle, so getting money with his skills and maintaining a semi-decent life while trying to find his way back home wasn't difficult.

The hard part was not having any clues or any idea of how to get back. He felt like Hansel and Gretel lost in the woods, but with no crumbs to follow to get back.

All he could do was pray that Logan, his Logan, would find him. And Wade trusted his psrtner. They could stab, hit, insult and kill each other (or try to kill each other), but they both had each other's backs. They knew they would give everything to protect the other. And as a wolf, Logan was nothing if not possessive of what was his, and Wade was his partner.

Wade knew Logan would find him. Logan would come for him. He just had to hold on.

And oh how he held on. He spent centuries waiting for his partner. He spent sleepless nights waiting to see a golden portal that would take him home and into Logan's arms. And even though his heart broke when he didn't see it, he never gave up hope.

Logan would come for him.

So he lived his life as much as he could, not tying himself to anything or anyone, not only because he could only think of his own universe, but because everyone was sincerely indifferent to him. He couldn't find it within himself to care about this universe.

And so he spent the centuries, saw the world change, saw mafias created and destroyed, he was there even before Vongola became what it is today. And he didn't think much more, he even entered the world of entertainment and using his immortality and the love that Death herself had for him, he entered the world of show business on a motorcycle, doing deadly stunts that should have killed him several times, and that didn't thanks to his immortality, which led him to fame as the Man Most Hated By Death, although in reality he was the most loved by her.

Wade changed everything about himself, even his personality. He changed his appearance with makeup and dye, he changed his tactical red and black suit for a purple and black one. He left behind his beautiful swords and guns, and even modified his personality to a cheerful and cowardly one.

Finally, he changed his name and called himself Skull de Mort.

Wade didn't have the heart to act like Deadpool, who he really was, when he was alone and no one from his family was with him to laugh at his flirtations and bad jokes.

Then he thought there was a ray of hope when Kawahira, a long-lived being but not truly immortal like Logan or him, invited him to his rainbow-colored boy band to maintain the world and blah blah blah. Things that honestly didn't generate anything but apathy in him, but that he thought could bring him closer to dimensional travel. He didn't even have Cloud flames, Kawahira only thought that because of his immortality, believing that he had powerful Cloud flames that were the cause of his condition.

Unfortunately, Wade spent years being humiliated and cast aside for being a "civilian" in the mafia world. If it wasn't for the fact that he was trying to get out of this world, Wade would have killed them all years ago, but he held on just because he still thought there was a ray of hope.

But decades passed and nothing changed, in fact, he became a baby. And if Luce turned up dead from stab wounds a while later, well, it's not like there was anyone who could tie him to the murder, one that almost sparked a war in the underworld over the Donna's murder.

Then they fought Byakuran, they became adults again, there was peace, and this stupid gala party was held to celebrate. Skull had been bored, until his senses could pick up something golden that showed the man he had been waiting for so many centuries.

And that's how it all leads to this moment, where Logan utters those words he had been waiting for so long.

Logan.”

His soft, sweet, yearning voice that they had never heard before come out of their Cloud's lips caused the Arcobalenos to flinch in place. Their gazes darkened, clearly understanding the power that the man, who they had to reluctantly admit was handsome and had a dangerous and powerful aura, had over their Cloud.

"Skull, do you know that man?" The cold voice of the Sun Arcobaleno did nothing to Skull, something that the other Arcobalenos had never seen in the cowardly man.

The guy named Logan raised an eyebrow in amusement.

"Are you serious, sweetheart? Skull?"

Skull laughed, ignoring the tears that joined in his crying. Ignoring the dark, possessive looks that the Arcobalenos threw at him. Sweetheart? Who the hell did that man think he was to call their Cloud that?

"I've been waiting for you for centuries." He said softly, causing only a few to hear him.

The Arcobalenos looked at each other furiously. Skull had waited for that man for centuries? How old was Skull? Was that his real name? Who was he? Who was Logan? What was going on and why did it feel like they were about to lose their Cloud?

“I'm sorry I took so long, but I finally found you.” Logan smiled and held out his hand to Skull, who ignored everyone and with his octopus in his arms, took Logan's hand.

“You found me.” He whispered relieved, as if the weight on his shoulders was gone.

“Let's go home, sweetheart. Everyone misses you, especially Mary Puppins and I.” He smiled, earning a smile from Skull.

“Let's go home, Mary Puppins will be happy to meet Oodako.”

“Skull!” Colonnello shouted.

But Wade Wilson aka Deadpool, ignored all the screams and let the portal swallow him without even giving a last look to those he had lived with for decades. Wade was simply happy to be able to return home.
