dog-stealing-cunts

Wade tried to follow Logan off the aircraft, not even getting his own chance to jump after him because as soon as Logan went, he was practically snatched right up out of the air by the X-Men.

To say Wade was upset was a very light statement, he was pissed mostly at himself for forgetting that Logan was still a Wolverine.

And Wolverines loved to sacrifice themselves for others.

Wade should have known a measly little talk wouldn’t stop him, Wade should have laid it on Logan thicker.

Thicker than ‘If you leave me, I’ll come crawling back every time, so don’t waste our time?'

Not sure if you could spell it out better than that.

Wade finally admitted to himself that there was nothing he could have done or said that would have stopped Logan from doing what he did.

Stupid wolverines and their stupid motivation to kill themselves for others

Wade went back to the empty, broken-door apartment, looking just as he felt.

A hairless, small, shivering-looking ballsack of a dog was on the old couch, tongue poking out.

Dog pool, but she wasn’t alone- no, a woman was sitting next to her, checking her nails while looking at him.

“Lucky??” Wade exasperated

A small feeling of happiness flickered in him, but not for Lucky but for Dog Pool, but it was quickly smothered and killed at the fact Wade couldn't celebrate it with Logan.

Wade reached forward and picked up the hairless dog, bringing her to his chest to pet, she licked his face sweetly.

“Oh girl, I missed you,” then Wade decided to address the elephant in the room, which was the ex- x force member who nonchalantly sat on his couch.

“What are you doing in my apartment?” Wade freed a hand to point a finger at her

“My name's Domino.”

Wade was running thin on patience, which was rare. “Whatever the fuck your name is- why do you have my dog?”

“I took her,” she said simply.

Wade curled his lip, the audacity of this woman to admit she stole his dog after breaking in his house and siting on the couch "Okay- then why shouldn’t I test how lucky you are when I give you a new place to breathe though?”

Wade had a gold pistol pressed snug against Domino's forehead, She sighed, “Not the point anyway...Heard what happened, so let’s do X-Force again!”

She stood, and Wade made sure the gun followed her up. “Lady, are you crazy? And that’s a big word from me, I am the marvel Jesus of crazy"

“No, I’m just lucky and bored.”

Dog pool now felt heavy in Wade’s hand as she licked his face, reminding him that Logan wasn’t here to see her return once again.

“And dead if you don’t explain why you took my fuckin dog.”

“She was cute and just walking outside, sooo,” she shrugged.

“She is incredibly cute, but she was just taking her independent walk of the day! You’d think a whole costume would tell you she’s TAKEN.”

She shrugged once more, and Wade moved his finger to the trigger, now squeezing it just enough that it wouldn’t really fire.

“Thanks for returning my dog- now leave your trespassing.” Wade shrugged a shoulder in the direction of the door, or well, the exit, because the door was kicked in on the floor.

“The door was open.”

“There is no door bitch! and there’s also definitely no signs inviting dog-stealing cunts.”

She pressed her forehead harder against the gun. “I know a lot of people that can kick ass, and if you're lucky, we can—“

Wade interrupted her, “I don’t appreciate the pun, and why the hell would you want to help?- me"

“Told you I’m bored.”

Wade felt there was more to it than that, so he pushed more. “And?”

“And someone wants me to share my luck with you, andddd...you know you can’t save Logan alone.”

Wade's eyebrow twitched at the truth. “How do you know all of this? It’s barely been more than two days.”

It was her turn to twitch, but not her eyebrow but her eyes. “I’m lucky, remember?”

Wade closed his finger down every so slightly more around the trigger, then dropped the gun back in the strap, letting the truth of her words ass fuck him.

He couldn’t save Logan alone- he would try for sure with or without any extra help, but Wade would much rather succeed than fail.

No, Wade couldn’t fail.

“I’m still pissed as fuck at you, Wish gravity took you out with the rest of X-Force.” Wade only half meant the words because she took Dogpool.

Originally Wade thought the timekeepers or whatever took her because she just up and disappeared a few weeks into living with Logan.

They left the apartment going to what Domino said was her ‘base.’ At first it looked like a normal place until she pulled a switch to reveal stairs.

“Author Can’t you think of anything more creative than secret stairs again?”

Domino looked confused, giving Wade a strange look like she was the normal one, She wasn’t she was a dog-stealing bitch.

Walking down the stairs, there was a large space, a basement with a lot of hallways and what Wade assumed was a common room because there were couches with people lying around.

Though they tensed up at the sight of him

Domino went to explain that she had a ‘team’ of 20 people, but really they were more like her family, most were mutants.

Wade had an idea of how she knew about Logan so quickly- a connection from inside the X-Men walls, There would be no other logical reason.

Domino showed him the place, the sleeping area, and the bathroom, When Wade tried to probe about why she was doing this again, she extended more of the truth.

“I’m returning a favor, so don’t think too much about it,” she waved him off.

They offered dinner, but Logan refused, feeling too pent up with wired emotions to even give a thought about eating.

Tomorrow he would because he needed to have strength to save his self-sacrificing Wolverine

A week passed, just 7 fucking days leaving the base to scout out more members, dragging anyone and everyone who showed any interest in joining

A week of reflecting, a week of thinking of how he would have done it all so differently

Now a solid month past

He sat at the table holding Uno cards, zoned out. He made a few friends at this place. They were nice, but they didn’t fill the gaping hole.

“It’s your turn.”

Wade glanced around- it was his turn. He placed down a plus 4, causing a groan from the person falling victim to it.

They now had 43 people, Wade was glad this underground basement was so big, but still, it wasn’t enough. There weren’t enough people yet to even threaten the X-Men.

At the apartment, on the road trip, at the chiseled man’s house, in the cabin

Wade would have done it differently, gone slow, not lost himself to the lust that was Logan, love him hard and sweet before ever considering tasting the lust again.

But the real question is, would it have worked differently? Would either of them have been able to understand each other without actions first?

Words meant too little to them now

Wade wished he could change that, let himself trust, and find out how to get Logan to trust, but they weren’t a average couple and definitely not the stablist.

Fuck, they—they never even got a chance to become a couple, didn't even talk about it, would logan have wanted to?...

Uno was over before he knew it, going to bed and sleeping.

The first few nights at this place Wade didn’t sleep a wink, too wary of the strangers, but eventually he obviously gave in.

The second month after going out every night to find people, the group was now up to 73.

Wade thought and thought. It was all he could do, he only had memories, Eventually, he visited Blind Al, and Chiseled Man told them the very short version of what happened.

Blind Al gave him a rough pat on the shoulder apologetically, and then they made powdered donuts together to make him feel better.

It did make him feel better, but only for a moment until reality broke through once more.

The third month came across so fucking slow, training all these new people until they could somewhat hold their own, making many snowmen with blind Al during the process.

In a week they would knock on the X-Men’s door.

And ask for Logan’s freedom- a week couldn’t go fast enough.

They had 340 people now, a stark change compared to last month, but only half of it was thanks to Wade’s searching.

The other half was Domino, who reached out to a friend of a friend. They gave us some of their members to borrow.

Was 340 people enough? It had to be everything had to be ready because in two days Wade was going to kick ass regardless.

Regardless of if it worked or not

Fuck it, it had to work- he had to get Logan back. He had to. He would, or he would die trying, and that said a lot because he couldn't fucking die.

The weapon shipment came in, and Lucky Girl complained about how much of a dent it put in her money.

Everyone was getting ready, strapping their weapons against their bodies, wearing bulletproof vests and military-grade boots.

Wade wore his Deadpool outfit, complete with a mask and all his weapons, but something added..

A machine gun.

It was HEAVY as fuck, but he made it work somehow.

Wade didn’t want to forget the sound of Logan’s voice, the feeling of his skin, how his hair swooped into perfect cat ears.

They traveled by vehicle until they couldn’t, walking on foot until the mansion was in sight.

It was a good thing they found someone with a mutation that could hide their thoughts from Charles until they could get close enough

But only for About 2 minutes max that the guy could hold it for everyone, they rushed in, surrounding the front of the house.

Silence Wade shot his machine gun a few times in the air. “GIVE me LOGAN, you fuckers!! Or I’ll command my army to stomp your ass!!!!”

Silence

Cyclops came out the door, folding his arms. “Wade Wilson,” he said calmly.

Wade pointed the machine gun right at him. He might have lasers for eyes, but that doesn’t make him bulletproof.

“We can’t give you Logan, though we can promise he’s in good hands.”

“Good hands, my ass! I’ll tear this mansion apart. Don’t underestimate me!”

Wade didn’t get a response. Cyclops huffed, pulling out his phone. It rang a few times, and Wade was tempted to shoot more than a few bullets.

“Yeah, I need to contact Logan. No, I’m not talking to him; it’s someone else—yeah, okay.” Cyclops made the conversation while looking right at Wade, then sighed.

“You’ll see him in a minute. Honestly, I’m surprised you didn’t come sooner after viewing Logan’s memories.”

Cyclopses words drifted off as he stepped aside from the door slow as a storm, and Jean joined him, just as relaxed and calm, which pissed Wade off.

“You looked at his memories?” Cyclops's answer could very well depend on his life; Wade was feeling trigger happy.

“The professor did,” Cyclopse corrected, then continued, “I did not personally see, but he spoke of them…” a new emotion ruptured from cyclopses face but disappeared just as fast

“Did he consent to having his brain picked apart by Baldie?” Wade adjusted his hold on the machine gun, glancing at the lucky girl who stood next to him.

Cyclospe glanced at his own teammates and then threw the phone to Wade. “Logan’s on the phone, turn on FaceTime.”

Wade caught it and was a little impressed at how far Cyclops threw it, he rolled up his mask to his nose, realizing the moment.

He was going to be able to talk to Logan to be able to see him, what would he say? Would Wade say everything that kept him up at night these past months?

What should he do? His finger worked faster than his brain, turning on the camera and meeting with Logan.

Wade saw a shell of the man he once knew. Logan had eyebags, and just from his face, he could tell Logan lost a little weight, his unshaven beard unruly.

He was beautiful, Wade looked deep into Logan’s eyes- in just those few seconds, he saw the familiar stone wall he had just broken in the cabin.

Wade shouldn’t be suprised- its been three months...a thought flickered just for a moment. Why didn’t he think of this before?

If he did, Wade would of have had another thing to keep him awake at night.

Did Logan think Wade wasn’t coming for him?

“Logan! I have a machine gun!” Wade said with a light fierceness but in a way that was almost feral.

Why did he say that? Why were those Wade’s first words to Logan after three months?
