UNYIELDING RAGE!

Nevada Desert. A skinny, white-skinned scruffy person walked through the road, arriving at Las Vegas.

“Is he our new ally? I must admit, he…” nervously said Garth, looking at the dishevelled man while trying to think of how to gently describe him

“He looks like a hobo” others, such as Mick, had no compulsions.

He walked through the city, before trying to hide his face with his cap from a police car. However, it didn’t work as the policeman saw him and stopped the car. The chase started, the protagonist doing things like throwing trash bins and using cars to try and lose the policeman.

“Suspect is on point. I’m pursuing, Send back up!” shouted the policeman to his radio.

The man, meanwhile, was hiding behind a dumpster, holding himself in what looked to be a panic attack. “Breathe.” He muttered, and then collapsed in relief. “Calm down.”

[Robert “Bruce” Banner]

[7 PhD and a very big secret]

“And he seems to be a criminal?” questioned Jon, his face in a frown. However, he didn’t write out the man immediately. Even if he was a danger, he actively went out of his way to not do…something. This told him that he wasn’t bad-natured, and that maybe it was just that his situation was bad luck.

“Maybe, he is like Cait” suggested Flash, remembering how his friend couldn’t control her powers when she became Killer Frost (the third at least)

“…Shit, this reminds me of Maureen” Virgil cursed, crushing the arm of his sofa. The guy didn’t seem like a monster or supervillain, just someone who needed help. And with how he had gone out of his way and looked to be scared of his powers…

Man, what’s with this universe and ice users having bad luck?

He got up, now a little better, only to run when he saw that tanks had started to circulate through the city. Inside the tank, military personnel were working.

“Report, soldier.” Said a gruff, no-nonsense voice, the kind you hear from your most hardass teachers.

“Local police reported that a man fitting the description was sighted. They pursued but lost him.” Answered the soldier manning some consoles.

“It's him. The Hulk is in Vegas.” Responded the gruff voice, revealing an old, white-skinned man with a mean look on his face. “Radio Samson at the Cube. Tell him to get a containment cell ready.”

“Oh holy shit, the FORESHADOWING” shouted Damian, jumping up. He would have expected the Hulk to appear, but not so soon. Except if he appeared… “The Hulk is going to be a hero, and I unfairly believed he was a villain” he said remorsely.

“Hey c’mon, that’s not your fault” chirped up Jon, drawing his BESTO FRENDO into a hug “we literally only heard of him from good guys, talking about how he was some threat. You couldn’t use your super detective skills”

That guy is the Hulk?! The one everyone treats as some big threat?” asked Spoiler, looking gobsmacked at the skinny guy. She knew better that appearances many times lied, but the guy looked… harmless.

“So big even the military wants to deal with him?” asked C.Atom, his face marred in a snarl. The reason? The general (he recognized the general because, hello, he was military) and his attitude in particular. He was having flashbacks of an incredibly giant, obnoxious, self-absorbed, holier-than-thou ASSHOLE WHO…

“We’re getting another prison everyone” Red Hood declared “you know what to do, start taking notes for when we get tangled with that universe and we probably get thrown there”
“Uh, General Ross, sir, why would Dr. Banner come here? He's stayed away from populated places for months now. He's stayed out of the country. Why come back now?” asked the soldier, wondering why one of the most dangerous threats of the USA was changing his course of action

“Right now, I don't know, and I don't care. We can get all the answers we want when he's locked away.” Wow, you really don’t hide how much you are invested man.

[General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross]

[His level of jerkassery is OVER 9000]

“Well, we had Waller’s counterpart, now we have…”

“Eiling” said every, and I mean every superhero, in a tone that held nothing but contempt.

“Ok that tracks, this guy is some poor victim who Eiling2 is pursuing because of some reason.

Year, everybody’s sympathy went to poor guy. They had all had bad experiences with Eiling, in particular Atom because of, you know, his whole origin story.

And also a certain group of heroes, who had had the pleasure of fighting Eiling in a parade. How the man had thought that becoming a meta-human to fight other meta-humans while spouting about the dangers of superpowers was normal… Yeah he was insane.

They could only hope that something similar didn’t occur in this universe. (AHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA…)

The man, meanwhile, was hiding in a building, using a computer to research some topics. Some of the images were of the desert while others showed two people, the same small big headed green man of the Thor episode, and a larger, ogre looking green individual. Another person popped up, this time the bald man being more human, and the computer showed his position on the desert.

“Hey it’s that green person again” noted Lilith, seeing the villain who Loki had impersonated.

“He has to be important after appearing now many times. And yes Kyle, this is foreshadowing” said Donna, before shutting up the green lantern.

“I’m more focused on that green ogre-like person” said Shining, looking at the bigger figure. While not an ogre (he didn’t want to profile or make conclusions, but seeing as how humans looked similar, it wouldn’t be wrong to assume that other species would to), he didn’t like the feeling in his guts, which was the same he got when fighting ogres.

Bruce went to the Vital Sign Diner, looking before finding his objective, eating… something. He went to sit next to him.

“What can I get for you?” asked the waitress.

“Coffee, please”

“Regular or Decaf?”

“Definitely decaf.” Bruce responded in a deadpan voice; he knew what would happen at the slightest amount of caffeine. He then turned to the man eating next to him.

“It’s related to his heartrate” noted down Tim “the car chase and then asking for decaf makes it clear, his powers come out when his blood gets pumping.”

“Man, in all of those occasions?” asked Khalid, thinking of all the things which made your heart pump fastly “poor guy”

“Mr. Creel? Carl "Crusher" Creel? I've been trying to find you for weeks, and I know SHIELD is looking for you, too, but I'm not with them. I'm here to help you. I'm a friend. My name is Bruce.” He started, trying to establish conversation with him.

“We got names” noted down Vigilante, glad to have the poor guy’s real name.

“Yeah, and that guy is villain. No doubt about it” said Nate. He shouldn’t make assumptions, but c’mon, the epithet, the fact that the forces of ‘order’ were searching for him…

“And how do you find me when SHIELD couldn't, Bruce?” asked Creel, his tone of voice carrying a little hint of danger.

“Because you're emitting gamma radiation, Mr. Creel. I know more about gamma radiation than them.” Bruce answered the question, receiving his coffee “I guess you could say I'm an expert on the subject. I know all about it. I know about your record. I know where they took you.” He recounted, while Creel just kept eating.

“GAMMA RADIATION?!” shouted the scientific minds, making the not so scientifically inclined worry.

“Is it that bad?” asked Diana. She knew radiation was a dangerous element, but not so much about the specific types and what they could do.

“Gamma radiation is only found in the hottest and most energetic things in the universe Diana” responded Clark “stars, supernovas, and here in earth we only find them in big explosions like lightning and nuclear ones” he finished, before seeing that they were looking at him with surprise “C’mon guys I know I don’t show it much but I have some brains here”

“Ugh just another proof of you being perfect. No wonder Luthor feels impotent around you” said Guy, drawing snorts and laughter, facepalms, and a blushing kryptonian from his audience.

“The Cube. The Cubes a super-villain prison specializing in subjects that have been exposed to radiation which created monsters from men, dangerous abominations.” As he spoke about the prison, images were shown of the many people imprisoned there. The giant ogre-man, the big-headed guy, an electrical being and a group of four people of different… elements?.

Immediately, many heroes took notice of the villains. Apart from the already seen ones, the electrical being drew bad memories for the Super-family of Livewire, and a consideration of the multi-elemental team.

Looking at the latter, Metamorpho raised his brows while looking at the gaseous woman. She seemed to be flying. And he could transform in any element. WHY hadn’t he ever tried to fly that way?!

“You were there. I'm asking you to tell me what you know about the gamma experiments. You see, what I'm afraid of is that SHIELD isn't trying to cure these people. I'm afraid they're trying to turn them into weapons.” Bruce pleaded, hoping to appeal to Creel’s humanity.

“Oh wow, government experimenting on criminals to create weapons. Yeah never saw that before” blandly said Cheshire, remembering her time with the shadier side of the American government, cough suicide squad cough.

Unfortunately… “It's funny. You never asked me how I escaped.” Responded Creel, looking at a spoon. His reflection became covered in silver skin, before the same thing happened in real life, his whole body becoming metallic.

[Carl “Crusher” Creel / Absorbing Man]

[Heavyweight boxing champion. Dude why do all villains abandon incredible jobs?]

“Oh shit!” shouted many heroes, looking at the now superpowered villain. It reminded some of them of Amazing Man, who also had matter absorption.

“Conflict is inevitable now.” Said Sara, taking a chunk of the popcorn “Let’s see why the Hulk is so dangerous.”

“No, please, Creel. You're just sick. Let me help.” Pleaded Bruce, before Creel grabbed him and threw him out to the street, laughing as he approached the hurt man.

“One more thing. I know exactly who you are, Bruce, and I've been looking forward to taking you down for a long time.” Creel said, while Bruce was grunting in pain, before we see his eyes covered in green veins, his Dna and inner body also…green.

“Did he turn green?” asked Garfield, looking excited at the possibility that this guy would have similar powers

“Hey c’mon that’s our shtick!” joked Hal, trying to bring levity to the situation.

J’onn coughed, drawing attention to himself and Hal chuckled, thankful that he had managed it a little.

Bruce roared, before his body swolled, nearly all his clothes ripping apart. He became bigger, his skin now a healthy shade of green. He was so tall he now dwarfed Creel. And he, was, angry.

“RAAAAAAAAGGHHHHHHH”

[Hulk]

[Ready to Smash]

“Holy Shit”

Many of the heroes gaped at the sight of the transformed Bruce. But now that they saw it, many of them understood a little.

Bruce was Jekyll, and this ‘Hulk’ was Hyde.

“He said he knew about gamma radiation more than anyone…” gasped Stephanie, the origin of his powers coming to her mind.

“What are the chances that it caused his transformation?” gulped Thea, dreading at that fact. Getting your powers by radiation couldn’t have been easy.

Two helicopters flew, informing the army of the new development.

“HB-1 to Command. Target is in sight. It's touching down in Monument Valley. We are en route.” Said the cowboy looking soldier.

Before the screen panned out to show Hulk and Creel in the air, with Hulk using the dinner’s logo to punch Creel. When it broke, he used his fists, but Creel turned them so Hulk fell down first. Getting up, he was now in his normal skin, so he tried to go to the logo.

“Beat his ass!”

“Lose you red dwarf” cheered bizarro

There, he touched the ground, his body becoming sand, worrying the criminal. He thankfully got to the logo and absorbed its properties before dissolving. And quite good, because Hulk jumped out of the hole and punched Creel, his fist leaving a denture in Creel’s body that he regenerated from, smiling.
“Oh he can’t keep his element if he enters in contact with another” noted Bart, Tim scribbling that information like crazy

“And it kinda looks like he can only absorb from his hands” remarked Conner, looking at how Creel had gotten scared.
“Everything they said about you in the Cube was true. You've gone soft.” He laughed, turning his hands into hammers. He ran to meet Hulk, before proceeding to beat him.

“Is that it? Are you trying to be some kind of hero? Is that why you took us out here? To protect people? Well, I've got news for you, Hulk. Those people you're protecting, they think you're more of a monster than me!” Creel mockingly said, before Hulk grabbed one of his hammer hands, crushing it and punching him away. He repeated the process, throwing him in the air and punching him to a cliff.

“You done goofed schmuck” laughed Thea, making many titans erupt in chuckles.

Meanwhile, other heroes took a breath. Being a hero even when everybody thought that you were a monster. Bats remembered his first years, Gotham fearing the Bat of the night, while Bizarro felt deep sympathy for Hulk, knowing what it was like to be in his shoes.

Hulk jumped closer to Creel, who was changing from his metallic skin to a rocky one.

“Idiot monster. I can absorb anything, even rock.” He mocked, before Hulk smirked and proceeded to break one of his arms.

“Hulk smash rock, Einstein.” He responded, Creel cowering back in fear.

“…Yeah this guy isn’t so smart” why had he thought that rock could stop a guy who easily dented metal?

“Genius move Creel, genius” sarcastically clapped Artemis.

“Wait! Wait! You can't do this!” Absorbing-man pleaded, only for Hulk to smirk and grab his head “Watch me.”

However, a missile suddenly impacted the two, throwing them through the air. Hulk was fine, but Creel was now just a head. “Ross.” Grumbled the green giant, looking to see a large military convoy coming to his position, helicopters, robots and tanks.

The fear of seeing Hulk kill Crusher was alleviated when they saw the military arrive. And then they saw Creel’s head fly while saying aw, relieving the heroes who know saw that Hulk knew Creel would survive.

“Shit that’s a big group” cursed Mal, looking at the entire contingency Ross had brought.

“All Hulkbuster units, open fire!” Ross ordered, and his soldiers complied. Hulk dodged the robots, jumping into the air, where the helicopters shot him with their missiles. Now downed, they proceeded to use their gatling guns to, kicking a large sandcloud. The pilot looked, not seeing anything, before Hulk jumped, grabbing the vehicle and destabilizing him. He fell, but not before he ripped out a rocket launcher.

So he did the only thing one would do, use him to shoot the Hulkbuster units, before throwing it to a helicopter which had been firing on him, destroying it.

“Keep firing. Don't let him get away.” Ross shouted, before a new voice interrupted him.

“Buddy, he’s taking out everything you throw at him, unless you unleash a secret weapon you’re only making him angrier” stated Crush, deadpanning at the general’s stubbornness.

“General Ross, withdraw your men now.” Said a female voice, with Russian accent.

“This is a secure channel! Who is this?” Ross raged, seeing that nobody was going well this day. Suck it jerk.

“Your superior, tovarich. Now back off.” Responded the voice, belonging to a redheaded woman in a plane, accompanied by SHIELD soldiers and a man in a suit, carrying a bow and quiver.

Hulk, meanwhile kept breaking the Hulkbuster units, before turning to look at the military command center “Don't think I forgot about you.” He said with rage on his face, expression which Ross replicated.

However, an arrow with a rope attached suddenly appeared before him. Two others impacted his chest, though they didn’t hurt. Then, two people came down from the plane. The purple-clad archer and the redheaded woman, clad in a catsuit? Is that the word?

“Tick, tick, boom.” Chided the archer, before the arrows exploded.

[Natalia “Natasha” Romanova / The Black Widow]

[She’s the fucking Spy from Marvel]

[Clinton “Clint” Barton / Hawkeye]

[Circus-born future world hero]

At the sight of the operatives, many had different reactions. Some people muttered ‘damn’ at the sight of the redheaded woman, who was… hot, sexy, beautiful, pick your choice. In particular Batman thanked God (who was now impossible to negate his existence, what with angels coming to help them), because if she had lived in this universe, he knew they would have had… something.

Why did Clark’s weakness have to be a green rock, and his women in catsuits?

Unknowingly, his cousin was thinking the same.

Meanwhile, others looked at the archer, immediately comparing him to the, well, archers they had.

“What the heck is with that suit? Hah, I have a better fashion style than him, Green Arrow 1, SHIELD archer 0” declared Oliver, something inside of him telling him to defend his pride.

“Ah.” Said the archer, looking at the unharmed green giant.

“You should both run now, 'cause you just made me angry.” Declared Hulk. Wait dude, you’re always angry, don’t lie.

“Really? 'Cause from where I'm standing, you look more beat up than angry.” Responded Hawkeye in a laughing tone, drawing an arrow, And the fight started.

“He even uses your snappy comebacks” teased Dinah, making her boyfriend grumble.

Hawkeye shot an arrow to Hulk, who came running towards them, while Widow also  approached the giant. Hawkeye used his explosive arrows to harm the giant, while Widow used her gymnastics and gauntlets to evade and shoot the Gamma Man. However, apart from some irritation, they didn’t do anything.

Hawkeye got better luck when he used his special arrows. While his net one didn’t do anything, the electrical affected Hulk, stopping him while another arrow froze him. But Hulk broke free, roaring, before catching an arrow. His smirk, however, became a frown because the arrow, you know it, exploded.

“Man he really is the other dimension Ollie, look at all those trick arrows” marveled Roy, looking for any ideas which he could gain from the agent.

“And the redhead has good moves. She moves just like a shadow” noted Helena, snapping Kate who had gotten distracted while watching Black Widow. Why would that be, I wonder… Oh she was holding this against her, her best friend got a crush on  a hero from another world… which was less shocking than it should be.

“I told Fury to stay out of this! I've been chasing the Hulk since day one!” complained Ross, like someone who had been told they didn’t make the cut for the sports team. AKA, they had damaged his pride.

“The chase is over, General. Sit back and let us do your job for you.” Answered Widow, dodging the Hulk’s arms.

“Open fire on the Hulk.” Said Ross, showing how petty he was.

“FUCK YOU ASSHOLE” shouted many of the heroes, nobody louder that Captain Atom and Batwoman. It wouldn’t be a surprise if in the following week they would search for Eiling and pay him… what was it called… a BEATING! Yeah that was it.

“But, sir, the SHIELD agents-- they're right there.” Argued the soldier, surprised by his superiors’ insane idea.

“That's a direct order, soldier. Fire!” You can’t reason with self-assured jerkasses soldier. At least not when their pride has been damaged.

“SHIT” cursed many heroes, but in particular the powerless. Hulk would probably be fine, but the others?

The vehicle started opening it’s missile launcher, which Widow saw and understandably got angry. “No. Ross, you are ordered to stand down! Do you hear me? Stand down! Ross, move out of there now!” she shouted in her communicator, but Ross, showing what a little bitch he was, shot the missile anyway.

It flew, catching the fighters by surprise. Except Hawkeye, who Hulk had grabbed by the head with his hand and was trying to get out. He would get his wish when Hulk dropped him and let the missile impact him.

“See? I wouldn’t have let myself get captured so easily”

“Ollie, you were captured by Brick in that same position just last week” replied Barry

“Slander!”

Meanwhile, others smiled at seeing Hulk allow himself to be shot. Pfft Monster, yeah right.

This, however, threw him against a rock formation, the very same one next to the SHIELD transport. And what do you think, the hit damaged the structure.

“Morse, move out of the way, now!” shouted Hawkeye. His warning, however, came late, with the blonde pilot not being able to stop the rock from hitting the plane and making it fall.

Hulk got up, looking at the falling plane. Then he looked the other way, seeing the open desert where he could run to. However, he had a contemplative look on his face.

“C’mon c’mon, please do the right thing…” pleaded M’gann, wanting the green giant to do the good thing.

Morse tried to stabilize the plane, however she didn’t have the time to avoid the fall. Crashing for impact, she suddenly felt the plane crash into something, but not anything else. Opening her eyes, she saw that Hulk had grabbed the plane.

“…YES!” cheered the martian, drawing her boyfriend into a kiss, getting catcalls and whistles from their teammates.

“Huh?” she questioned, before Hulk groaned and put the plane down, as gently as he could.

Hulk breathed, tiredly, before an electrical discharge hit him from behind and finally downed the giant. A sandcloud kicked up, but when it was gone, Banner was back, though also unconscious.

“Oh c’mon that was a cheapshot!” raged Crush, angry at how the strong fighter had been taken down. Cass simply looked exasperated at the Czarnian, knowing how many times she had tried to teach her the benefits of stealth and ambushes.

Obviously, she didn’t care about that.

The Cube was shown, a prison in the form of… a cube. SHIELD soldiers transported Creel in a capsule, before another group moved Bruce, who was chained up and down. He could only look in sadness at the sun, knowing it would be a long time before he saw it again. Well, as far as he knew.

“Wow” were some mutters, seeing the Cube be literally a prison named because of its structure.

“Oh Rao” Supergirl sent her heart out to Bruce/Hulk. Not being able to see the sun? Yeah she would go insane.

“SHIELD Special Agent Barton, Clint. Code name Hawkeye. Access granted.” Said the computer, doing a retinal scan of Hawkeye, letting him enter a part of the prison where some criminals where held. Particular examples included a man with two faces in his head, a woman made of vapor, and the ogre-like individual, chained. We also had a person whose head was a skull, the big-headed guy, a guy who seemed to leak a toxic cloud, and another one with garnet-colored skin being hit by cooling gas.

“There are a lot of villains” gulped Billy, seeing the gallery of villains.

The Kryptonians narrowed their eyes at the skull-headed individual, being immediately reminded of a similar foe, and Superman also looked at the one who leaked radiation, which reminded him of one of his old enemies. Meanwhile, Virgil looked at the gas woman, being reminded of half of a metahuman duo. Hilariously, the two-headed man was the most normal one.

“You have to believe me, Bruce. With the resources I have here, I will find a cure for you.” Said a blonde man, getting a blood sample from Bruce.

[Dr. Leonard Sampson]

[My god, there are therapists!]

“Well, he seems nice” noted Kimiyo, seeing that a doctor looked to be trying to help Bruce. The feeling was what mattered.

“Leonard, don't. I stopped trying to cure the Hulk a long time ago. I reached out to him. There's a place in this world for the Hulk, but this isn't it.” Answered Bruce, who was now chained in a room deprived of windows, only one from the ceiling. And he didn’t even have a shirt.

“I’m hating this episode more and more” raged Patrick. An inhumane prison and a hero whose only crime was to be persecuted. It made him really thankful that he had gotten the chance to turn his life.

Maybe he could do something about it?
“I'm not going to give up, Bruce, even if you have.” Responded Leonard, before he left the room. He passed Hawkeye who had just entered the cell, shooting him a concerned look.

“Let me guess. You thought I'd be bigger?” joked Bruce, curious at what the SHIELD agent was doing here.

“Funny. The Hulk-- he's a monster, right? I mean, that's what they told us.” Responded Hawkeye, looking at the man “That's what everyone thinks. Military and SHIELD have been chasing him for years. He's caused untold destruction. He's a monster.”

“What do you think?” asked Bruce, surprised at the fact that the SHIELD agent was admitting what he hoped would be… comprehension.

“Why did the Hulk save that ship? He could've just escaped. I saw it. He had a way out, but he saved my crew instead.” Asked back Hawkeye, looking with a little remorse at the fact that Hulk had saved his crew but then they had shot him in the back. Literally. “Why?”

“Oh he’s a good guy! He’s not a puppet!” cheered Thea, glad to see that Hawkeye tried to understand and discover every element.

“…Fine, he’s alright” grumbled Ollie, wanting to stop his girlfriend judging stare “still don’t like him though” he muttered

“You're a SHIELD agent, right?”

“Yeah.”

“So? Maybe the question you should be asking is what SHIELD and the Hulkbusters want the Hulk for.” Finally answered Bruce “Open your eyes. Look around this place. Look at the monsters here. Do you really think the Cube is a jail?”

As he said this, Leonard was opening a compartment filled with blood vials, each catalogued with a different name “And now they have samples of my blood-- the Hulk's blood.”

“Ohh please don’t let this mean it’s going to be clones” gulped Connor, hugging his girlfriend harder.

Roy had the same sentiment. Even if he had gotten a brother out of it, dealing with clones was always exhausting what with the existential crises.

“You think they want to cure me? They don't. They want to make more of me.” And with that, Bruce dropped the bomb.

Nightime. Clint left Bruce in his cell, looking conflicted. He then saw, however, his partner walking through the prison “Natasha?”

Widow opened the door to a laboratory, before looking back at the prison, not seeing anyone. She entered the lab and grabbed that precious little vial. She got out, not knowing that Clint was waching her. “What are you doing, Natasha?”

“I don’t like this” muttered Dick, his gut telling him that something bad was going to happen. And you had to trust your gut if you were going to be a superhero.

“Initiate voice command. User name: Hawkeye. Password: Trickshot.” Said Hawkeye to the computer of the SHIELD transport.

“Access granted. SHIELD computer systems online.” Said the melodious voice of the computer. “Bring up all communications and field reports by the Black Widow.”

“Files are not located on the network.”

“Well, where are they located?”

“Romanoff, Natasha. Code name: Black Widow. Records transferred to a remote computer.”

“Okay. Fine. Whatever. Connect to the remote computer.” Sighed Hawkeye, liking this situation less and less”

“Password required.”

“Oh goddammit this is going to be a gag” groaned Jefferson, recognizing the signs from when he saw cartoons with his daughters.

“Spider.”

“Access denied.

“Sting.”

Access denied.”

“Venom.”

“Access denied.”

“WHYYYYY…..”

“Web.”

“Access denied.”

“Hourglass.”

“Access denied.”

“Mmm, Clint?” he tried, only to be met with the repeated “Access denied.”, making him grumble.

“Come on, you stupid piece of junk!” he complained, but to that, the computer answered “Access denied.” What a troll computer.

“I just Uh Red room.” he sighed, before an idea came

“Access granted.” Thank you, it was getting annoying.

“Oh thank god” celebrated Hood. He only liked those gags when they were done well, like with a certain donkey and an ogre.

Though some heroes really focused on "Red room", wondering what was its importance.

“Finally.” Clint celebrated “Play the most recent report.” The computer then showed an holographic image of Natasha.

“SHIELD suspects nothing. They have given me champion class security clearance, after all.”
“And Ross?” asked a masculine voice.

“Ross is a maverick. He won't doubt that SHIELD is taking over the operation.” She mocked “I will retrieve the sample. Have your men arrange for pick up at these coordinates at 0300 hours.” She told to a figure.
“Computer, give me visual. Who's she talking to?.” Demanded Clint

“Good work, Widow. Hydra is pleased.” The image cleared, showing a Hydra soldier, Clint’s face of surprise showing everything.

“…She’s a spy” gulped Artemis, being remembered of her situation. Fucking Light, couldn’t they let their megalomania go, preferably forever.

On the Watchtower, Kate slumped, a possible avenue now closed. Seemed the catsuit was a weakness of all bats.

Natasha drove a jeep through the desert, keeping her eyes on a cannister. Up in the sky, Hawkeye drove an air-bike, looking furious. Widow arrived to the meeting point, seeing the Hydra soldiers. She presented the cannister, which one of the goons tried to take, only for an arrow to take it out of her hands. Both looked surprised, looking at the bowman in one of the rock formations.

“Why'd you do it? Why? We've been partners for years. Tell me the truth.” Asked Clint, his tone showing that he wouldn’t take anything but the truth “You owe it to me, Natasha.”

“Alright guys, we open the poll, those two were really close. And I mean really really close.” Opened Cyborg, and then all titans were taking part on the bet. Young adults.

“The real question is, why did you do it?” began Widow, putting on a remorseful and sad look “Why did you betray SHIELD to Hydra? Was it the power, Clint, or just the money?”

“Ah hell she was prepared” cursed Spoiler, seeing how things were going to go very bad for Clint.

“What are you talking about?” asked Clint incredulously. Yeah, would have done that too.

“The Banner samples are worth millions to the right people, but you know that.” Yet, the Widow kept her mysterious story.

“Natasha, what's going on?” Clint asked.

The Hydra goons looked at each other and nodded, before Natasha turned and shot the two goons, knocking them out.

“I will miss working with you, Clint.” She said in a low tone. An air transport suddenly appeared, putting the light on Clint “Hawkeye is a double agent for Hydra. Take him down.” Black Widow shouted.

“What? I'm not the double agent.” Clint shouted, trying to defend his innocence, but the soldiers in jetpack didn’t care, they shot him without remorse. Were they normal agents or Hydra ones? Because if it’s the former, then props to them for going against one of their best operatives without fear “Aah!”

“She planned this well” grunted Batman, clenching his fist. Now it was very likely that Hawkeye was going to be captured and Widow escaped with no one the wiser.

Clint used his arrows to take down many of them, with one particular soldier receiving the pleasure of being knocked out by the bow. He looked, searching for enemies, only for Widow to electrify him. From the back. That’s cold lady.

“Man she really likes those backstabs” mused Simon, seeing the widow get away with her plan.

“Take him to the Vault. Put him in solitary. No one sees him until I give the word. I'll take care of the Hydra agents.” She told the SHIELD personnel, who took Hawkeye away in the transport.

“It worked. We'll need to arrange a new drop. But as far as SHIELD is concerned, I just took down a traitorous double agent. Hail, Hydra.” Finished Natasha, the logo of Hydra illuminating the moon.

While everyone focused on the reveal of the spy, it was the detectives, Batman & Question, who noted a fact everyone seemed to have missed. All of the episodes had presented a prison in some way. And two of them were from Earth, while the Asgardian one had its prisoner already scheming.

They really, really hoped it wasn’t that way. But Fleming had put it best, “Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. Three times is enemy action.”

They really hoped not, but it seemed that a giant prison break was going to happen. On every prison.
