In Logan's many lives he has been many things: A solider,a beast,a x-man and more recently a father. But as he felt the tree pierce his body he knew he'd be one more thing: dead. This was something he wanted for a while now, hell for the last 20 years or so he's been carrying the only thing that can kill him to use it himself. But Logan knows he can't die,not here, not yet! Not to some cheap imation of him! As Logan looked up at what he was sure would be the last face he saw,his own, the cornor of the doppelganger's skull was blasted off. The source of the blast came from Laura. The 10-year old girl who was the whole reason Logan was there. At the start of the week Laura's mother was looking for him to get Laura across the U.S-Canda border in North Dakota. As much as he didn't want to admit it (at least at first) Laura was his daughter. She was grown in a lab sure, but that didn't make them any different. As Logan laid there impaled on the root of that turned over tree, while Laura cut him down he knew he was dieing. Right as Logan needed at least a little more time for the first time in his life he was running out! He had to be quick, "Run." Logan sputtered "Take your friends and run. They'll keep coming. They'll send more." Laura had already started crying at this point. "You don't have to fight anymore." As Logan felt the life drain from him he remembered weapon x and the one thing he would tell himself back then: "Don't be what they made you." And that was all Logan had to say before he died. As he looked up towards the top of the trees Logan felt a warm feeling. Something he hadn't felt in such a long time that it was somewhat alien to him:love. Logan felt loved by his new family in Laura. And even though Charles was dead and a telepath Logan had to let him know wherever he was. As Logan breathed his last breath he said "So this is what it feels like." As everything went dark Logan heard Laura say through tears,"Daddy?"
