Feeling the rise of others, gods started sending messages to Aerys II but unfortunately, it turns him mad. Gods then try with crown prince Rhaegar, which turns him to believe too much in prophecies, leading to rebellion.
Thinking that maybe the burden of seven kingdoms & the long night is too much to bear for a mortal & feeling that they messed enough with Targaryens Gods look into other options, Starks are the obvious choice but they need both First Men's blood, and Valyrian blood to strengthen their chances luckily Dayne's have dormant Valyrian blood and Ashara Danye is pregnant with Ned Stark's child so they place a miracle on the pregnancy which results in increase of both valerian & First Man's magic in kid but leaves Ashara baren.
Rhaegar wins the rebellion, to punish & keep Tullys in check & as a jab to faith. Rhaegar orders Ned to take Catelyn as a second wife.
After some time in the North, Ashara & Catelyn gives birth to Jon Stark & Robb Stark in succession. Jon is born with white hair & purple eyes and Robb is born with Tully looks.
Catelyn and many others start accusing Ashara had an affair with Rhaegar during the rebellion but any Northern can see that even though Jon has white hair & purple eyes his face is stark, Lyarra says that Jon looks exactly like Ned did as a child except for hair & eyes.
In mid of this chaos, the Children of the forest return to Winterfell saying that they felt strong magic here & claim that Jon is a descendant of Winter King.
