When Natasha first started at SHIELD she only had two pairs of clothes so Clint being Clint let her borrow his hoodies. Laura (Clint's eventual wife) Also lent Tasha some clothes. Eventually, Natasha just started stealing clothes. You lend her a jacket you're never getting it back.
One morning the Avengers assembled for their biggest battle, breakfast. Tony was on his 3rd cup of coffee and Bruce was telling him about the effects of so much coffee, Steve listened, paying attention he would probably petster the team about how coffee is awful. Clint was just hoping he wouldn't notice he was on his 4th. Thor entered the kitchen and put two pop tarts in the toaster. Natasha entered the kitchen yawning. (She had been on a mission last night) When Tony saw her he spit out his coffee “Is that my shirt?” He asked. “It was in my laundry therefore mine” replied Nat. Everyone but Clint was shocked. He stuffed his face with food.
“You just stole his shirt,” asked Steve, using his captain's voice. “Yep.” “Oh yeah, she does that” added Clint with a mouth full of toast. “I'm used to it.” “Used to it?” asked Steve. “Half my clothes I stole from him” Tasha answered. “Yep,” Clint said clearly, this was a usual occurrence for him. “Huh” asked Steve. “Why don't you just get your own” Natasha sighed “Steve when I first came here I was an assassin and prisoner of S.H.I.E.L.D I couldn't exactly go shopping.” “Really” “But mostly It takes too much energy to shop for clothes.” “That makes more sense,” replied Tony. Natasha threw a pancake at him. Tony just smiled and slowly ate the pancake.
¨This is war¨ “you're going to regret this” everyone watched laughing as Tony and Natasha started fighting like little kids. Clint even saw Bruce crack a smile. Everyone had been through so much yet they all were there together and Clint knew one thing: when the world needed them this group of heavily caffeinated, clothes stealing, family issues, idiots they would be there to protect and sacrifice for a world that would never truly appreciate them. Yet they would still be there.
The Avengers wernt a true family but they had always been enough.
Clint snapped out of his haze looking next to him at his wife Laura. Yes he'd lost family but he had to focus on the family he had left his beautiful, crazy, family with a couple of tagalongs. He looked over at Kate as she was laughing with Yelena. He watched as Fanny and Lucky wreaked havoc. He looked at his other side to see Nathaniel next to him asleep all curled up in his blanket. Lila and Cooper curled up in front of the tv fighting about what movie to watch. Laura leaned her head against his shoulder and when Clint looked at her he was never more grateful for the people he’s had and have in his life.
