Chapter 7
Several years later.
A woman and her child were looking around a shop with a lot of magical knick knacks and potion ingredients around. They were looking for a very specific item when a woman with golden blonde hair came over.
Woman: “ Can I help you too?”
Mother: “ Yes, my son would like a staff if you have one?”
the woman smiled: “ we actually have several Staffs. come and have a look.”
The group gently made their way over to a whole row of staffs and the son looked absolutely in
owa of the staffs.
woman with a smile: “Now you can pick the one that calls out to you and that will become your staff.”
The boy looked around and finally ended up picking a staff with a pair of angel wings on them.
Although it initially looked to be too big for him, it Shrank down to fit his size much better.
the mother seemed extremely pleased: “ thank you ma'am. He has been wanting to get a staff for years now and we finally have the money to buy one. but we weren't able to go to one of the bigger stores since their prices are way too much for us.”
Woman: “ I completely understand. that's why I'm trying to keep my prices to what I think the item is actually worth.”
the Mother begins laughing: “ So that's why everybody says you have the lowest prices on the island. no wonder you have so many customers.”
the woman smiled at the compliment: “ your welcome. now let's get that staff paid for and the two of you can be off.”
After the mother paid for the staff the boy ran over and hugged the woman.
Boy: “ thank you ma'am! what's your name?”
The woman with a very big smile: “ my name is Lady Billington. and the two of you are lucky that you came when you did. I was about to shut the store for today.”
the mother then grabbed her child: “well then we shall be going. have a nice day miss Billington.”
lady could only chuckle as she watched the parent and child walk out of her store.
Several years had passed since George Rose went to prison and lost both his money and his business along with his power.
Daisy returned to the care of her mother which she did not like one bit.
Meanwhile lady and her parents were enjoying the Freedom they now felt. even though they now had a lot of money they really didn't change personality wise. but they did change addresses since they were given their families old home which was a small manor on the side of a mountain where Lux had grown up. George used to live there when it was stated in his fake will that it was his house but also ended up losing it in the court case.
lady did end up having to deal with Daisy's anger about losing all of her money and power she once had. but lady didn't care. she didn't care anymore what Daisy thought. she was just going to enjoy her life and not worry about her cousin and let her figure out things on her own.
Over the next couple of years her and her friends were able to graduate high school with top honors and she was even able to give a speech on graduation.
After that they went to college for another few years as one big friend group. They eventually even We're able to graduate early because of how good they were. even with some time goofing off.
After graduation Thomas took lady to the Lake up in the forests of Skarloey And proposed to her. The ring wasn't anything special compared to some of the more beautiful Rings somebody could buy but for lady it looked like it had been made out of solid diamond. Of course her answer was yes and they had a small wedding with friends and family.
lady was also able to fulfill her dream of owning her own little shop. she could definitely have gone for an entire Enterprise of magic shops but she felt the smaller more Humble store was good enough for her.
She sold all kinds of magical knick knacks and potions to customers in her hometown of Ffarquhar.
As for her friends:
Percy and Rosie were currently married with Percy becoming the postmaster of sodor mail. The two of them have a happy marriage and are enjoying life to the fullest.
Emily and James ended up getting together and we're going to have the wedding in a couple of weeks with a child well on the way in the form of an egg. an egg that Emily was rather protective of and always carried it everywhere she went and nobody but her friends were allowed to touch it.
Alice and Gordon also began working for sodor mail as packaged delivery people since their centaur heritage gave them enough endurance to run all over the island without needing a break or the need of a car. They just had to carry a card behind them and deliver the packages. They had also gotten married and were also expecting their first child.
Edward and Tara ended up working in the library of brendam near the sea. The two of them were married but weren't planning on having kids for a while.
Henry and Eleanor began taking care of the forest that was ironically named Henry's Forest after a great grandfather of Henry. The two of them continue to have a happy relationship and we're planning to get married but nothing is set in stone yet.
The biggest thing that happened was between Rebecca and Nia. They had gotten married and already had a litter of kittens that were absolutely adorable. but NIA wanted them to be born in her Village back in Africa since every member of her family was born there and she wanted to continue that as a tradition as long as the village stands. Although Rebecca's parents were a bit hesitant about this Rebecca stood behind her wife and went all the way to Africa with her. Even though she couldn't stand the heat she stayed by her wife's side the whole time. Eventually the kittens were born and blessed by the Elders of the tribe and each of them was given a necklace to show they were members of the tribe. Rebecca was also given one even though she didn't really consider herself part of the tribe since she wasn't born in it. but the Elders said since she married Nia that made her part of the tribe in their eyes.
The two of them did return to the United Kingdom with their kittens and all of their friends began gushing over how cute they were. lady especially couldn't help herself.
Yes, life was great for everyone in their friend group.
She was just closing up shop to go home when she noticed her wedding ring on her fingers and smiled.
Lady: “ I can't believe it's been three years since I have married Thomas. my life really has improved.”
After picking up her bags she went home on foot. Her new house She shared with her husband was A small manor but it wasn't anything too fancy. It did have a big garden and a pool that could be heated in the Winters.
but what really made it feel like home was the interior. nothing too fancy, just furniture they got at the second hand store but it really felt like home to her.
as lady was walking to her home some of the people on the streets greeted her with a happy wave and smiles.
lady in her free time was able to make friends with everybody in the town and also volunteered at the local homeless shelter and soup kitchen. She did this to help herself remind her where she came from and what could have been and to always appreciate the things she has in her life.
This did give her a glowing reputation which she never used for attention or in her favor for anything. She just did it because it was the right thing to do.
She was also being taught by Tanya about how to be Queen when she and Howard retire. Which luckily was not within the foreseeable future but they wanted to prepare in any case.
lady absolutely loved her parents in law. They were always very kind to her and she was always very kind to them.
Her own parents were happily living in the old family home and enjoying their new higher paying jobs they had gotten thanks to Howard and Tanya and always made sure to show their appreciation to the king and queen.
as lady was reminiscing about everything she noticed that she was home as she was at the gates that led to the manner. She entered the six digit passcode and the gates opened. but as she was walking towards the front door she saw an all too familiar face standing there with a lot of bags and constantly knocking on the door.
It was Daisy! but she looked absolutely terrible. her hair looked like it had been turned into a bird's nest, her clothing looked like she had bought them at a second hand store and most importantly her makeup looked absolutely terrible as well. her overall appearance was terrible. even her chest that she had been boasting about in high school didn't get any bigger over time.
lady on the other hand had been blessed by mother nature and had been given quite the sizable chest compared to everybody else in her friend group. She was only slightly bigger than Rebecca though.
Lady walked over to the front door with an annoyed look on her face. She was having a nice day and she did not want to have her cousin ruin it for her. especially since they were going to have a party with all of their friends within a few hours and that's why she closed the store early today so she could help prepare for everything.
Lady: “ Daisy nobody is home. and why are you even here on my property?”
Daisy turned around in shock to her cousin.
Daisy: “ I needed to speak to you about something important but you weren't home and your Butler wouldn't answer the door!”
lady just let out a deep sigh and walked to the door and unlocked it with her key.
she then turned around towards Daisy: “daisy we don't have a Butler or any other kind of servants. Both me and Thomas like doing the chores ourselves.”
Before lady could say anything else Daisy barged into her home and took a seat in the living room.
lady followed her with her ears and tails Flat on her head, making it quite clear that she was annoyed as her cousin basically barged into her home without permission.
lady in anointed tone: “ what are you doing Daisy? I don't remember inviting you into my home.”
Daisy just raised her hand and snapped her fingers: “ I would like some water please.”
lady desperately wanted to tell her to get it herself but she also wanted to be a good host and get to the bottom of why Daisy was here. so she went to the kitchen and got a glass of tap water and put it in front of Daisy on the coffee table.
as Daisy took a drink from her water she immediately gagged from it.
Daisy: “What is this?!”
Lady was sitting in front of her on one of the couches with her arms crossed and her fox ears standing up.
Lady: “ It's tap water. and there's nothing wrong with it.”
Daisy with a disgusted look: “ couldn't you have gotten me anything better?”
Lady just decided to Get straight to the Point: “ why are you here Daisy? I don't recall inviting you over.”
Daisy let out a sigh: “ always straight to the point with you lady. well it's simple… I will be moving into your house today.”
Lady looked a bit shocked at Daisy's statement. for a moment she thought she might be kidding… but then she remembered who she was talking to.
The thought of Daisy living with her and Thomas was absolutely out of the question for her. After everything Daisy had done to her she was not willing to let her live in her home. but she was family and maybe she had a change of heart? and she was taught that families should respect each other and hear each other out. even though daisy and George never did that she was not going to make their mistake’s.
Lady in a calm and collected voice: “ and are you planning on helping us with the Utilities like electricity, water and food?”
Daisy scoffed: “ why should I help you out with that? you guys have money don't you you can pay for it yourself!”
lady remains calm. she was not going to burst out in anger and escalated the situation beyond what it needed to be… for now.
Lady: “ because if you're going to be living with me and Thomas we will expect you to pay rent and your own part of the utilities.”
Daisy in an annoyed tone: “ why should I pay rent to you when I don't have a job! so I can't pay you rent so I should live here for free!”
Lady shakes her head: “ I'm sorry Daisy but I cannot accept that. if you are going to be living here both me and Thomas will have to ask rent from you and you will have to follow the rules of the house. plus you will also have to respect our stuff and not break it or throw it into the trash.”
Daisy huffed and crossed her arms: “ if I'm going to be living here it might also as well be my house! So I can do what I want!”
Lady: “ know it's mine and Thomas's house and you're not on the mortgage. and you would be our guest and you would have to respect our property. if you cannot do that then I respectfully ask you to leave.”
Daisy looked shocked and angry at lady’s statement: “ You're seriously going to kick your own cousin out of your home and onto the streets!? Did you forget the fact that we Are Family! family should help family! Besides, you owe me!”
Lady’s ears began to twitch into curiosity at that sentence: “ how exactly do I owe you anything?”
Daisy in a very angry tone: “ you got my father arrested and made him lose all of his money! I lost all of my fancy stuff because I couldn't keep it since it was bought using illegal money or something. I have nothing left but the clothes that I bought before the court case! and I had to sell most of that off. so you owe me for ruining my life!”
Lady took a deep breath and gave her cousin a dark look.
Lady: “ Actually you owe me for all the bullying, harassing, making me feel like I'm worthless, stealing from my family just to satisfy your own ego, and your father basically threatening and attacking me! Everything that's happening to you now is because of your father's selfishness and your own! if the two of you had been Kinder and better family members from the beginning I might have been willing to entertain the idea of you living here. but considering you haven't changed since you were 16 I see no reason for you to live here! Now get out of my house before I call the cops for trespassing!”
Daisy looked absolutely Furious at her: “ Are you really going to call the cops on your own cousin! Is it because you're too selfish to share your wealth with me? You know what you say I am selfish but I think you're the one who is selfish! that money should have gone to me! and I am not leaving, I'm going to be living here and that's final!”
???: “ Daisy Rose that is enough!”
Both Daisy and Lady looked over towards where the voice came from and standing there was Daisy's mother alongside Thomas who also looked very pissed off to see Daisy there.
Daisy: “ mother what are you doing here?”
Eliza With an equally Furious look as Thomas and Lady: “ I came here to make sure that you wouldn't break into their home and begin squatting! this is not your home daisy and it will never be! if you want a home then you're going to have to work for it!”
Daisy begins to shout at her mother: “ why should I work for money when they are basically given money without even having to do anything for it! how are they better than me!”
Thomas with his arms crossed: “ because we actually have jobs besides the inheritance from our families. besides that doesn't change the fact that you are basically trying to squat in my and lady’s house!”
Daisy: “ I deserve this house! I have suffered a lot over the last couple of years! I've lost all of my High School friends! I've lost my house, my money, my father and my dignity! my life should have been better than this but instead I'm forced to go to “work” when that's beneath me! but nobody will give me the proper chance I need when I do have work!”
Eliza face palms at her daughter's words: “ that's because every single time you've had a job you were lazy, uncooperative, constantly late, taking money from the Cash registers, always calling in sick and expecting to get paid for it, treating other employees like crap and never actually doing the job you were supposed to do. you haven't been able to keep a job for more than a month! heck you were even fired from being a stripper!”
Both Thomas and Lady were surprised to hear that.
Thomas: “ How do you get fired from being a stripper?”
Lady: “ That is actually a good point. how do you get fired from that?”
Daisy began groaning: “ they just couldn't handle me!”
Eliza with a flat-faced expression: “ you punched one of your customers in the face… and broke his nose… causing a lawsuit that would only be dropped if you were fired.”
Thomas and Lady: “ha.”
Daisy: “well he shouldn't have been so clingy.”
Eliza: “ That doesn't matter Daisy. I have desperately tried to put you on the right path in life ever since I got custody of you. but you have been constantly belligerent to me for not being able to afford the things you like because they are too expensive for me. you have not even been able to have a stable relationship in your life and always end up getting Dumped after only a week because the boys are sick of you. nobody on sodor will hire you because everybody has heard your reputation as a terrible employee. and to be honest I have absolutely given up on you. I do not know where I went wrong as a mother to end up with such a piece of s*** as a daughter but I am definitely regretting ever giving birth to you. or even trying to get custody of you for 16 years! I am done with you Daisy. I am going to officially disown you!”
Daisy incomplete shock: “ what! you can't disown me! I am your daughter!”
Eliza: “ well you certainly haven't acted like one! and I am absolutely through with handling your s***. After you walk out of this house, never come back to mine! you will never be welcomed there again!”
Daisy was now absolutely fuming. She then turned towards lady and screamed.
Daisy screams: “ this is all your fault!”
She then transformed into her fox form and immediately jumped at lady who didn't have the time to react immediately as Daisy was on top of her trying to bite her neck. Eventually lady Transformed into her own fox form and kicked Daisy off. Before Daisy could do anything Thomas and Eliza transformed too and surrounded her making sure that if she did anything one of them could bite her.
Daisy then suddenly had an idea: “ if you guys called the police I will just tell them that you guys are tacking me and squatting in my home. I'm pretty sure they will believe me considering the situation.”
Thomas just lets out a sigh and uses one of his 9 tails to point to a camera in one of the corners of the living room.
Thomas: “ We have security cameras for the entire house so they will easily be able to see that you attacked lady first and that she was only acting in self-defense. and we are going to call the cops on you!”
Daisy's eyes went wide as Thomas transformed back into his human form to call the cops and try to attack him only for lady to jump onto her and hold her down.
It didn't take long for the officers to arrive and arrest Daisy. and She was kicking and screaming the whole way to the police car and even hit one of the officers straight in the crotch. Adding: a salt of a police officer to her list of charges.
as Eliza watched her daughter get put into a police Cruiser and driven away all she could do was let out a deep sigh.
Eliza: “ if only I would have raised her… maybe this wouldn't have happened.”
lady gently placed a hand on her shoulder: “ I very much doubt that would have ever happened. her father would have found a way to have full custody of her somehow. and you at least try to put her on the right path in life. it's only her fault for not jumping onto that path. you are absolutely a great mother, never let anybody else tell you otherwise.”
Eliza gave a smile towards lady: “ your mother is pretty lucky to have you as a daughter.”
lady smiled back at her: “ And I am pretty lucky to have her as a mother. She raised me well.”
Thomas then came in to give his wife a hug: “ she definitely did.”
After a while they were able to set up the party and everybody arrived. Both Thomas and lady told them about Daisy and what happened that day. None of them were actually surprised that Daisy tried to do something like this and didn't really care that she was going to get arrested.
lady also discovered that she was actually on probation for Assaulting the customer at her stripping job. so she was going to end up in jail anyway after her trial.
Despite all that Daisy had done to her lady did feel a bit of sympathy. even if she was a narcissistic, self-obsessed idiot she was still her cousin. and in a way she did owe her something. She owed her for showing her how not to be in life and to appreciate everything that she has and not use it to put everybody down but to lift people up.
and as she looked towards all of her friends she could only smile and appreciate all of them for always standing beside her.
