Down the Witches' Road

The Teen still bound jumps to the doorframe as Agatha complains about the front door having been destroyed "the house is yours Random Boy, tell the vengeance seekers I say hi" Agatha says preparing to leave.

Wanda's eyebrows shoot up "she's running?" Loki only had an impressed look "well she's got no power at the moment so running is the best option" he says.

The Teen is able to use the door frame to rip the tape off his mouth "take me to the Witches' Road" his words cause Agatha to pause

Stephen pinched the bridge of his nose "oh shit" he muttered, Steve looked confused "what's the Witches' Road?" Stephen sighs "I've only ever read about the Road, it's a mystical space that grants those who walk it whatever they desire" Tony frowned "isn't there a song called the Witches' Road?" He asked Kate suddenly sat up straighter "The Ballad of the Witches' Road by Lorna Wu, I love that song" she says a little giddy.

Agatha walked back to the Teen and told him to repeat himself "can you take me to Witches Road, please?" Agatha tells him that the Road is a myth, the Teen says that she's lying "am I?" Agatha asks

Wanda scoffed "knowing her, nearly everything that comes out of her mouth is a lie"

Teen tells her that's what real witches say to keep the wannabes away and that the Road will give you what you want the most if you make it to the end "and I know I can", Agatha contemplates for a moment before walking away saying that the Road is not a place for a kid, Teen tells her that his sixteen jumping after her "sorry Teen". Teen confesses that he knows an egregious amount about Agatha after he read all about her Salem days and that she is the only witch to have ever survived the Road

Wanda's eyebrows shot up "she's the only to survive the Witches' Road?" Stephen cocked his head and thought back to the book that mentioned the Witches' Road "according to the book I read three others walked the Road and survived, but then those were so long ago in the past, and she must be the only witch today to have survived" nobody really understood what he was talking about but nodded anyway

"It's why I saved you from the spell you were under" Teen says, Agatha says he's certainly good enough to break a spell cast by the Scarlet Witch "why do you need the Road?" She asks. "I've studied, but study can only take you so far, power is what I'm missing" Teen says

"That couldn't be further from the truth" Clea says gaining the attention of Wanda "what do you mean?" Clea gives Wanda a long look "the Scarlet Witch is the most powerful being on Earth, your Chaos in human form. The only thing that's matches you in strength is a cosmic entity known as the Phoenix Force which is the personification of Order, but that's a whole seperate thing for another time. The only way that teenager would've been able to break your spell is if he is of equal magical strength or is more powerful than you" Clea explains shocking everyone, Wong massaged his head to stop the migraine he knew was coming "I've got an overwhelming sense of doom all of a sudden" Clint says several others agreed with him "and we won't know anymore until we watch more" Clea says.

Agatha says it's too risky and walks off, Teen tells her that the people who are coming for her sound like they mean business and she won't get very far without power of her own. Agatha picks up her pendant off the ground and opens it, turning to the Teen "who are you?" She asks Teen responds but his mouth distorts cutting off his name, Agatha walks up to him and demands he repeat himself but the same thing happens "interesting" Agatha says.

"What the hell was that?" Bruce asks, Loki frowns "it looks like there is a spell on the kid, but beyond that I have no idea" he says

Agatha says she's driving and sits behind a makeshift steering wheel that she made while under the spell "this is not a car, alright" she mutters grabbing a pair of scissors and tells Teen that he is driving dropping the scissors.

Wanda giggled at Agatha behind her makeshift car

Teen catches up to Agatha outside asking if she's taking him to meet her coven, Agatha says her coven is dust but one is needed to access the Road, she pauses at the spot where Wanda's house was during the Hex with the foundation covered in anti Scarlet Witch sentiment, Teen tells her that he is parked across the road Agatha spits on the foundation before going to the car.

Wanda couldn't stop the flinch or the immense feelings of guilt at seeing what the people of Westview thought of her, Vision placed a comforting arm around her

As Teen and Agatha drive out of Westview Teen declines a call from his boyfriend, "wherever you are, a coven there shall be" Agatha says, within a three mile radius there shall be witchy enough people as even the most down and out witch will be able to produce a spark to open the Road. Teen pulls out a spell book and asks Agatha to write that down but she throws his pen out the window and tries to do the same thing with his book but Teen puts the book back.

"She really care for other people's things does she?" Sam asks "but it does look like the Teen is learning and has learnt enough" Stephen says impressed

Agatha tells him to pull over. They are in the front of a psychic storefront, Teen asks if their going to find a real witch inside and that he feels really optimistic. Entering the pair are greeted by Lilia Calderu who asks what their seeking. Agatha speaks in a Southern accent asks if she could help locate some gold bars her husband may have buried in the yard.

"What's with accent?" Kamala asks getting shrugs

Lilia puts on an act before saying the gold bars are in the bowling bag at the back of the closet. Agatha gets up to leave "there's something else" Lilia says, she continues that Agatha has just reclaimed her agency after three years of being under the influence of another, betrayed by her witch-kin again and knows why Agatha is there "and I am not interested" Lilia says, she tells Teen that his bank statement will show her side hustle and walks into her apartment

"So are all fortune tellers witches?" Shang-Chi asked Wong rolled his eyes "most are charlatans, but some magic users use their magic like that"

Agatha and Teen follow Lilia into her apartment, Agatha asks if Lilia doesn't want hear the pitch. Lilia says that she didn't read Agatha's fortune but her reputation "what witch in her right mind would join Agatha Harkness' coven?" Teen gasps dramatically while Agatha says she isn't looking for right minded witches, Lilia turns around and starts screaming "looks like we came to right place" Agatha says taking a seat.

Everyone was weirded out by Lilia's screams "what was that about?" Peter asks Clea frowned "if she's a fortune teller, then clearly she's got the power of Divination and must have seen something" Clea says.

Agatha tells her that she doesn't look a day over 450 years old, Agatha tells her she gets a couple of suckers a day and twenty bucks later then sits on her bed which is also her wall "witches like you are the reason people believe we poison apples, steal children and eat babies" Lilia says prompting Agatha to respond with that babies are delicious

"She eats babies?!" Kamala shrieked causing America to wince "I think she was just joking and tone the decibels down please" America says rubbing her ear.

"Don't you miss the glory days?" Agatha asks, "where I was run out of every village I passed through simply for predicting terrible things, no thank you. Now beat it Harkness" Lilia says. "I'm going to walk the Road" Agatha says getting Lilia's attention again "the Road is a Death Wish"

Tony looked at the magic users in the room "how is the Road a Death Wish?" "I don't know. I've only read about it" Stephen says and the others simply shrug

Agatha says that she survived it, "yeah, where's your power now?" Lilia asks, Agatha says it's time to restock and that she needs a Divination Witch "are you seriously asking me to coven up with the most infamous witch on this continent?" Lilia asks outraged Teen asks her to name someone badder than Agatha in South America or Europe "who is this child?" Lilia asks. Teen is about to introduce himself but Agatha cuts him off by calling him her pet "say hi Pet" Teen begrudgingly says hello.

"Her pet?!" Wanda says outraged "that boy clearly needs to get away from her"

Lilia asks if Agatha expects her to risk her life on the Road "and if we're successful" "when we're successful" Agatha says interrupting, Lilia repeats herself saying if successful watch as Agatha turns around and steal her powers.

Wanda nodded her head it seemed like Lilia has a good head on her.

Agatha gets up and tells Lilia that she can't steal her magic unless Lilia blasts her with it, Agatha pulls out an eviction notice for Lilia's business and tells Lilia to join her "us" Teen says interjecting. Lilia takes the eviction notice and tells them if they stay any longer she'll charge them again. Lilia starts writing on the notice as the lights flicker, Teen asks what's going on "witchcraft" Agatha says

Tony sighed "why does magic have to be so damn dramatic?" Loki chuckled "it just is Stark, it just is"

"Three of Pentacles" Lilia says giving the notice back to Agatha "a list of four names, you've got your coven" Lilia tells her to leave her out of it "your on here" Agatha says shocking Lilia. Teen places Agatha's address down, Agatha tells Lilia to be at her place by five. Teen says that was amazing and they got a team roster. Agatha's attention was drawn to a nearby crow.

"Okay that kid needs to chill out on the whole enthusiasm" Sam said "what's with the crow?" Clint asked "it could be a sign of that group that Rio mentioned the Salem Seven is on their way" Clea says.

Teen asks who was on the list causing Agatha to groan as she read it. Jennifer Kale held up a candle and told two customers to taste before doing it herself, saying probiotic candles are good for ambience and digestive health

Kate cocked her head to the side "that's a good idea actually" she received strange looks "what? It's not like being a superhero is financially stable"

Agatha walks in and acts in an obnoxious way that causes the two girls to walk out. Jen says that she hasn't seen Agatha since she made a really pointed effort to never run into her again and hopes she's awful.

"Okay seriously not even Tony has pissed off the amount of people that Agatha has and he had whole countries hating him" Natasha said "thank you, I think" Tony said confused

Agatha laughed sarcastically, before telling Jen that she's assembling a coven and is need of a Potions witch "we're going to walk the Road" Jen says that the Road is a literal dead end. Agatha tells Jen that the Road can undo the binding spell that has left her magic less for last century.

Sam throws his hands up "does no one age anymore?"

Jen realises that Agatha has lost the Darkhold "and now your powerless and exposed, how far you've fallen Witch Killer" Agatha says that at least she's still a witch and tells Jen to have fun healing the healthy before walking away. Teen approaches and thanks her for her information on reducing his pores "who's this another child sacrifice?" Jen asks Agatha.

The room was quiet for a moment "another child sacrifice?!" Wanda exploded she couldn't wait to have children but find out that Agatha had actually sacrificed a child disgusted her "ok when we're done here and out of this room, you two are going to helping me to track her down so I can kill her" Natasha said to Stephen and Clea who nodded.

Teen pulls out his phone and which reveals an article about Jen being in a court case about her products causing her customers injury "I personally wouldn't call superficial burns as injury, but some apparently needed skin grafts" Teen says.

The women in the room raised their eyebrows "that must be some bad product" America said

Jen says that she hasn't been convicted of anything, but Agatha tells her that as a group witches don't do well in court rooms. Teen says that all she would have to do is payout and maybe do five years prison time "but 800 counts, starts to get a little lifey" Teen tells her it wouldn't be an issue for a powered up witch "you don't think I haven't done everything to unbind you freaky little miscreant?" Teen tells her that she hasn't tried the Road and if she values her freedom come to Agatha's house at five and the pair walk out.

Natasha sat in her chair impressed "damn that kid's got skill" "no Nat you are not tracking him down and training him" Clint said knowing that look causing her to pout

Teen asks who the last two names were, Agatha says there's only one name and shoves the paper in her mouth when Teen goes to grab it "very mature" Teen says. Cut to the pair of them in a food court discussing the next witch who is a Blood Witch "her mother was a witch and a Goddess of Rock" Teen says that Lorna Wu wrote the most famous version of the Ballad and that his mother went to go see Lorna Wu before her death and that he once tried bid on a limited edition LP of the Ballad but it cost more than he made at his summer job. Agatha's attention is drawn to a nearby rat and suddenly becomes very nervous.

"Okay, so the crow and that rat are clear signs that the Salem Seven are tracking her and are on their way" Clea says

Agatha and Teen are in a store "rumor is that Lorna Wu is lost to the Road" Agatha says watching a security guard. Teen asks why they're there and thinks that Lorna's daughter would be somewhere else, Agatha slips a bracelet into Teen's pocket and tells him to run, which he does and is promptly tackled by the guard "Alice Wu Gulliver, I'm Agatha Harkness, this is my familiar Toto we need a Protection Witch to join us on the Road" Agatha says

Everyone snorted at Teen being called Toto

Alice's boss comes in and Agatha lies about Alice assaulting Teen, claiming he is her nephew. Alice is fired "what divine intervention is this you're out of a job and we're setting off for the Road today" Agatha says walking behind her. Alice is dismissive of the Road being real saying it's a con, Teen tells her that Agatha has walked the Road and came back. Agatha tells her that by joining them she can find out what happened to her mother. Alice walks off, Teen says he forgot to give her Agatha's address.

America frowned "if I was her and my mother disappeared on a magical Road I would love to find out what happened"

Teen is driving back to Agatha's asking if two witches will be enough "how far is the Road and what's the drive time?" He asks, Agatha asks him where he is from. He starts by saying he is from Eastview and then his voice can longer be heard, Agatha snaps her fingers and turns up the radio which she can hear perfectly "it's nice that we're getting to know each other better" Teen says when his voice come back and Agatha tells him to drive faster.

"Okay so there is definitely a spell on that teenager that is preventing people from learning his name anything else about him, who put it on him and why I can't say until we see more" Stephen says getting nods of agreement from the other magic users.

Cut to Agatha's house and she walks out wearing a long coat, she pauses when she sees a wolf in the middle of the road and hurries back inside

"Those animals are definitely signs of the Salem Seven and they have been tracking her down all day and know where she lives now" Clea says.

In the living room, Teen has just put up a banner saying "Welcome Coven" and asks if it's straight, Agatha walks over and tears it down just as Jen walks in who tells her to leave it up as it elevates the space "oh God am I the first one here?"

"That sign was good she should've left it up" Kamala says, 'you never want to be the first one at a party' was a collective thought through several people's minds

Teen welcomes her in and offers expired granola bars as he didn't have anything to work with, Jen says she ate before coming. Lilia walks saying she doesn't mind the odd lapsed date "High Priestess" she says looking at Jen. "Jennifer Kale, Potions" "Lilia Calderu, Divination. Your bound" Lilia says, Jen remarks that Lilia needs a chemical peel

"Bitch" America muttered before flinching as Stephen shot a stinging hex at her "language" Clea furrowed her eyebrows 'Three of Pentacles and High Priestess, those are tarot cards. She's a Divination Witch, they should listen when she speaks' she thinks

Alice walks in remarking about the missing front door, Teen is surprised that Alice knew where they were "I'm an ex cop, that answers a lot of questions up front" Alice says. Agatha claps her hand "alright the gang's all here, let's hit the Road" she says moving towards the basement Jen asks about the Green Witch "oh do we really need one of those?" Agatha asks Jen says they do and quotes a line of the song 'Earthly and Divine' because a Green Witch is necessary for the Road. Teen asks about the fourth name on the list, Agatha says that Lilia's writing was so bad but Lilia says it wasn't a name but a black heart "that's because you used a black pen" Agatha says.

"That Rio chick is the one they need and Agatha hates her" Tony says getting nods of agreement.

Agatha says she knows who it is and she'll be right back and walks out of the house. Agatha gets Sharon Davis' attention and calls her Mrs Hart. "Mrs Hart is what Wanda called me. I know you get confused sometimes but my name is Sharon Davis" Sharon says.

Wanda flinched at seeing another one of her victims from under the Hex, Steve tilts his head "is Mrs Davis a witch?" "I don't think she is but Agatha doesn't want to ask Rio so she went to the closest person and by judging her garden she has a green thumb and can technically be classified as a Green Witch" Wong explains

Agatha asks Sharon if she would like to come to a party she's having. Sharon accepts and goes to grab her purse. Cut to Agatha's basement Teen says that most of them will have to squeeze in the back, Agatha tells him they summon the door to the Road not drive to it and to leave them while they do their thing and to close a window as it feels drafty "you'll call me when the door appears" Teen says going upstairs. The women stand in a circle "are going to do laundry?" Sharon asks, Jen asks about the melodies "get off me" Lilia says suddenly getting weird looks.

"It's drafty because the front door is missing" Kate says "if I was him I would've stayed down there and waited" Shang-Chi said 'get off me? It sounded like Lilia was reacting to something she saw' Clea thought

Teen wanders around upstairs and picks up Senor Scratchy. Agatha rings a bell and starts the song.

"Am I supposed to know this song?" Sharon asks a little uncomfortable.

Teen walks outside and sees a figure dressed head to toe in black in the middle of the street, Herb asks him if he is seeing this

"Looks like someone has caught up to Agatha" Clea says

Familiar by thy side

Spirit as our guide
Several more figures step out from behind the figure causing Herb to drop his groceries and run inside. Teen is shocked but quickly goes inside as the Salem Seven advance on the house.

"They must be the Salem Seven, man their creepy" Kamala says watching them move "I'm liking this version of the song" Kate

Teen quickly tries to barriacde the house as the Seven get closer

Everyone is watching with baited breath as Teen barricades the house while the coven sings "why do you have to sing to summon the door?" Bruce asks getting no answers

"We have to sing that song when we get out of here" Kate says getting looks "you want to open the door to the Witches' Road?" Peter asked "no it's not like it'll work but that song is a banger" Kate says before she started humming the song, Clint had an exasperated look on his face

Teen was closing the blinds before he sat in a chair and watched as mist entered the house, a whispering voice could be heard saying Agatha's name. Teen screamed as a member of the Seven crashes through the window and grabs him.

"Oh my God" Wanda whispers at the scene

Agatha tells them that the door never took this long to appear, the others start blaming each other until Agatha insults them with cruel words until Lilia figures out that she wants them to attack her "blast me you bitches" Agatha yelled "what's that?" Sharon asks pointing at the floor where a hexagonal door was, Jen asks if that was there before.

"The door is a hexagon?" Wanda asked her mind going back to the Hex

Teen is panicking as the house rumbles due to the Seven's presence. He runs downstairs when one of the Seven appears before him. Agatha opens the door just as Teen runs down the stairs "we should really, really go right now" he says running down the spiral staircase quickly followed by the Jen, Lilia and Alice who heard the screams of the Seven. Sharon pauses "what does your gut tell you?" Agatha asks, Sharon also goes down the stairs after hearing more screams. Agatha closes the door behind her and sees a Seven member crawling down the stairs. The door disappears when after its closed and she goes down the stairs and rejoin the others where the Road is night and gnarled trees on the side. They remove their shoes "I've never doubted us for a second" Agatha says as they begin their trek along the Road.

Everyone scoffed at that. "The Road looks very pretty" Kamala says "yeah it is, but apparently it's a death wish" Carol says.
