Hey sister

Peter nervously stared down the barrel of the shotgun, briefly glancing at the growling dog (whose breed he could not remember) and gulped nervously. "Umm... hey there..." He said awkwardly. Peter glanced back and noticed that while his friends hadn't drawn their weapons yet, they seemed ready to do so. He motioned for them all to calm down, and they did, save Gamora who kept her hand on her blade, ready to rush in and stab her and Yondu ready to whistle for his arrow. He turned back and got a better look at the chick aiming at him. He figured he only had a 50% chance of actually getting shot, the way she was shaking while aiming her gun, but since the rest of the Guardians were spread out behind him, at least one of them would be hit which was something Peter absolutely did not want. "Okay okay... just... calm down and put the weapon down, we aren't going to hurt you." Peter said, with a calming voice. "My name is Peter. What's yours?" The girl seemed to freeze, her eyes widening for some strange reason. Maybe she wasn't expecting him to have an Earth name? ""UsiOlivia. My name... is Olivia." _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

It was safe to say, this was the scariest moment in Olivia's life. Worst than the time mom fell and broke her hip. Worse than the time she was shoved into a locker that the person who shoved her also put bugs in it. Despite being the one pointing a gun at someone (they hadn't drawn theirs yet thankfully) the fact that she was staring down actual aliens was just... a lot to take in. The human looking guy who she was currently pointing her shotgun at, tried to calm her down. Somehow, he was speaking English. "My name is Peter. What's yours?" Olivia froze, her gun finally stopped shaking. It couldn't be, could it? Could this be her long lost brother that had went to space? She glanced at the wreckage that was their ship. If so, he wasn't a very good pilot. She went back to meet his gaze. "Olivia... my name is Olivia." She had thought of giving her last name, but since he hadn't... no need to get her hopes up. "What are you doing here? Why are you on Earth?" This 'Peter' froze. After looking around, her looked back at her. "This is Earth?" He asked. He had his arms down and Olivia was about to demand he put them back up, but the look on his face... It wasn't one of calculating evil or something sinister, it was hopeful. As if he was silently begging her to to say this was indeed fact Earth. Hoping she wasn't saying anything that would betray her planet, she took a deep breath. "Uh... yeah. This is Earth."

The man in front of her looked like a fish. That was the best way she could describe how he looked at the moment. He opened his mouth, no noise coming out of it, he looked around, as if in a daze. In fact, he looked ready to faint. "Qwedo." The green woman with silver face tattoos said to him. He unsteadily turned to her, looking at her almost fondly. The green woman walked over to him, glancing at Olivia (who at this point, had put the shotgun down) and began whispering to him comforting words in some language Olivia did not understand. "Usi aka Qwedo. Wuis ao denrtu caqo." Although Olivia could not understand it, this 'Peter' seemed to understand it. He seemed to be able to calm down and get a hold of himself. "Uhh.. wow ok..." He shook his head and flashed Olivia a smile, but it seemed strained. "Umm... so you're probably freaking out right now because your meeting aliens for the first time, right?" Olivia nodded, not really sure what to say. "Okay. Right. Well, lucky for you, we are the good guys. We are the Guardians of the Galaxy!" Olivia's eyes widened. Guardians of the Galaxy? That was... wow, okay that was something. "Guardians of the Galaxy? Do you guys... guard the galaxy or something?" Peter beamed. "Well of course! We've saved it twice in fact. Once when some guy was going to destroy a ton of planets with a purple rock, and one when..." Peter's unbound enthusiasm suddenly seemed to take a nose dive as he flinched, probably remembering some pretty bad stuff, the others behind him were shifted uncomfortably. "Was there by any chance a giant blue-ish blob that just ate everything it came into contact with?" Olivia's eyes widened. "Oh my God, yes! Everyone was so scared for days on end because of it, even though it just... collapsed on itself and got destroyed or something.

Peter nodded. That was pretty much the same thing that had happened on every other planet that had been affected by Ego's seed. "Well... there was this guy, who planted seeds all around planets across the galaxy. He... managed to get a big enough energy source and began to spread his seed across the planets, turning the planets into him." Olivia eyes widened for what must have been the 100th time today. This was... just so much. "Okay... and just to make sure, you and your friends aren't here to like... take over Earth or anything like that, right?" Peter shook his head. "Aww no. Taking over planets really isn't our cup of tea." The big gray one asked some question, probably about how tea and taking over planets based off Peter's answers. "Okay..." Just then, she had an idea. If this was Peter... maybe she could take him over to the house? That was the house he had lived in beforehand, so if it was her brother... she would recognize it... hopefully. "Hey uhh... why don't you come with me? Your ship seems uhh... broken." Peter looked back to his friends, probably seeing what they wanted. The raccoon look alike said something that sounded sarcastic and waved at their ship, so that seemed to make up Peter's mind. "Great! Uhh... let us just get some stuff okay?" Olivia nodded and they went off to go get there belongings.

Olivia sighed and turned to Dusty. "This has been a long day, huh boy?" She asked tiredly. Olivia checked her phone and groaned. "It's not even 11am yet.." After a few minutes, Peter and his gang exited the ship. "Here. Catch." Peter threw her a tiny piece of plastic and she caught it with one hand. "What is it?" She asked, examining the thing closely. "It's a translator. Put it in your ear like an ear bud so you can understand  them." He said, gesturing to the others. Olivia nodded and slipped the ear bud into her left ear. After a few small electronic whines, she heard a ding. "Okay... can you hear me now?" The Raccoon asked. "Olivia's eyes widened. "Yeah! I can! So cool..." "Uh huh..." The raccoon asked distractedly. "Well, I just wanted to say, your dog smells like shit." Olivia glared at the raccoon. "Oh yeah? Well you don't smell to fresh either raccoon." The raccoon in question snarled. "I'm not a raccoon!" "Then what are you?" Olivia asked. "I'm me. And that's Rocket." "Rocket huh?" Olivia asked. "Yep. The green chick's Gamora, the lady with the antenna is Mantis, this little guy" he said, referring to the tiny tree man, "is Groot." "I am Groot." The tiny tree man said. "Olivia couldn't help but smile. "Okay, that's cute." "The bug blue idiot over there is Yondu, that's Kraglin, that big guy over there is Drax the Destroyer.  And you already met Quill over here." The raccoon said pointing at Peter. Olivia's eyes widened (again) and she preceded to pass out after a few seconds.

She awoke a few minutes later, thanks to Dusty licking her face and whining aggressively. After assuring Dusty she was okay and petting him, she looked up to see Peter... Peter Quill offer a hand to help her back up. "Heh... guess all of this is a lot to take in huh? Sorry about that." She stared at him... her brother... for several seconds before snapping out of her stupor and accepting his hand. "I..it's alright." "Do you need to rest or anything?" Peter asked. "No! I mean... its probably best we head back to my place now..." She answered. Yondu and Gamora exchanged a silent glance. Something just didn't sit right with them about this girl.  As Olivia led them through the forest, she kept looking at Peter. Gamora noticed this and couldn't help but feel a spark of jealousy in her gut rise up ever so slightly. Rocket noticed this and snickered, but was silenced by one of Gamora's glares. Eventually, they reached a nice clearing. They could see a barn, several animals and other things that the group couldn't help but admire. "So... this is a Terran house, eh Quill?" Rocket asked. "It certainly seems nice and quaint. Perfect for living a normal peaceful and mediocre life." The big one, Drax the Destroyer said. (She loved his name. It sounded like a rock and roll singer's name or something.)

Both were expecting some sort of reaction to Quill. Either a prideful confirmation, claims his childhood house was way cooler, or to immediately defend Earth homes by saying they were not for mediocrity. Instead, Peter ignored them, and just walked up to the house, staring in awe. "Peter, what is it?" Gamora asked, concerned. "What is it boy?" Yondu asked. "Peter?" Mantis called out worried. "Uhh... hey Pete, you okay?" Kraglin asked concerned. Peter stopped, about a dozen meters from the house, looking at it in its true glory. Olivia silently watched him. So far, his reaction was promising... Slowly, Peter turned around, the shock and all around fear in his face, back. "This... this was my home before I left Earth..." Peter said, cracking up with tears in his eyes.
