"Feelings make you hungry" Gwen said with her mouth full, Miles smiled at him, nodding "yeah, these bananas are like fried feelings" he said, and Gwen laughed.
The brunette felt light, everything with Gwen was incredible, but he was still in doubt, why couldn't he have a watch? Why hadn't Gwen visited him in months until now?
He sighed, looking at the watch in his hands "So this keeps you from pixelating in the dimensions? What does it take for Miguel O'Hara to notice Miles Morales?"
Gwen gave him a small laugh "I'll put in a good word for you" Miles shrugged "I'm just saying, if I had a watch, you know, I could go with you"
The blonde put the plate aside "Miles" but the brunette interrupted her "I already saved the multiverse once" But Gwen still refuted "It's a very small attack force"
Miles smiled smugly "I can make myself invisible, I have electrical powers" Gwen stammered denials until he answered firmly "There aren't many spots available"
That made Miles stop talking, looking disappointedly at the watch "Ah, yeah" he answered reluctantly. The blonde tried to cheer him up "If it were up to me.."
"Yeah yeah, I know" he said reluctantly, pressing different buttons on the watch, apparently he did something wrong because Gwen snatched it from his hands, yelling "No no no, don't do that, Miles!"
Miles looked at her confused "Relax" he said, and the blonde put on her watch while checking it "It's very delicate" the blonde said, but apparently regretted it, because she turned to the culprit "I'm sorry, forgive me"
"It's okay" he said with a relaxed smile, and approached Gwen, brushing her hair out of her face "It's just, I want to see you more"
She smiled at him, approaching slowly "Me too, but-" before she could answer, Miles felt his heart pounding, he took courage and brought his face closer to Gwen, giving her a short and soft kiss on the lips, Gwen looked at him surprised, but then brought their lips together again in an equally soft and warm kiss.
The blonde grabbed his face, and Miles lowered his hands to the blonde's waist, but his spider-sense started to bother him.
"Hello!" His mother's voice said, (so that's what it was about), and they both jumped away from each other, his mother approached him "I'm Rio, the mother of Miles"
Gwen smiled at her, embarrassed "Hello Rio, Miles told me a lot about you" she said awkwardly and his mother gave her a scornful look "Oh, how nice she talks to me about you" his mother handed the sweater to Gwen "It's pretty, I was in miles room so I guess you were there"
The blonde blushed a little, nodding "And you must be Jeff" His father gave a forced smile "How nice she talks to me about you, you meant Lieutenant Morales about to be Captain Morales" he said offering her his hand.
Gwen smiled "oh captain" she said and received a strange look from him but Miles saved her "Well Wanda and I know each other from school"
The blonde patted his back "yeah, we were just catching up"
Her mother smiled "Aww..just don't steal him from me" at this, both Miles and Gwen blushed, pulling her hand away from Miles. "I'm just playing, he's grounded, you couldn't, kissing is forbidden" They both blushed while their mother gave an awkward laugh.
"Oh shot, I have to go" the blonde grabbed his right hand where his watch was "I really want to stay, forgive me, bye" she said, stepping back before leaving, the blonde looked at him, deciding to throw herself into Miles' arms, she hugged him for a few seconds before moving away to leave.
Miles watched her as she left, wishing he could accompany her.
