Class Schedules
They were getting their class schedules today. Since they all chose the subjects they were going to learn earlier than others (they got to because of their heritage), they'll get them a week ahead of everyone else. They only got to come to school earlier than the school year starts because they had to apply to get to live on school grounds, which allows them to look around and do assignments early.
Once they get the emails for their classes, they are given more work from the school. (for the academy.) They have to sign things for the classrooms and assign the teachers their students. They themselves have an extra class too. The normal options for classes are English, Spanish and/or French, math, science, physical education, band/choir et cetera. But the one they have to take puts them at a risk of death. See, they have powers that come with their curses and the school's decision for this is to put them in dangerous areas, so that they can try to figure out how to use them and how to use their other abilities better. It's not the right thing to do but nobody has stopped them from doing this or complained about it. Not even any of the heirs. The experiences do tend to give them trauma. But the school says that it means the progress is good. They basically manipulate the heirs into believing that trauma means it's working.
Back to the schedules, they don't have to go into the classes, just do the work and turn it in. The only class they have to show up to is their last class (Unless they are severely hurt, a family emergency, not that school/on a vacation or something else that is serious.) But they don't have that class everyday, just once a month. (Also they don't have to go to physical education because that one is optional for them)
