The speech is given
It's been two days since they put together the speech. Today is the day they give the speech, Daisy is worried it's gonna go wrong and Leo is telling it won't because he'll be there. Autumn is practicing the speech, while Mason doesn't really care what is going on.
Now they all had to give the speech. Mostly Autumn was going to do the talking but the other would help keep the posture of the speech together. Now it's time for them to go down there and give it. Right now they were all finishing some last minute things. Daisy was completing her makeup and Leo was choosing his most " I'm a millionaire's kid" looking outfit.
Once they got there Autumn brought out the paper she wrote the address on. The rest sat down in the spots they sat in last time and autumn walked to her spot and stood there.
" From the data we collected this is what the students of Idun Academy want and why." She started off with, " First of all, a first grader asked for them to have rocking chairs. I did some research and found out that most kids around their age learn better when moving around. That is something we want to happen, so if we give them what they want we get what we want." she smiled after saying that to the lady with the bland makeup. "Ellen Poe, high schooler here, is wondering if the stalls to the toilets could be lowered? She finds it uncomfortable, other students might too." the lady nodded, " Oh! And on the subject of Ellen, She also brought up that the school has very low standards for teachers here and thought that if you guys raised those standards we might actually get the education we came for. Then Diana, Leo's sister, brought up that the staff don't do anything when boys are acting up, at all. They just let them behave that way, so Diana said we should educate them on this." Autumn locked eyes with the lady for a second then went back to her speech. " Then a first grader named Kennedy Charmsack said there was a boy who was always trying to look up girls' dresses and things like that and teachers would excuse it as "Boys being boys." which isn't ok to do, and I think is sexist." She frowned, " We should get rid of these types of teachers. Finally there is the dress code. We don't need it at all. The only thing it's good for is making the women at this school feel like a misfit. Or worse an attention seeker, which makes them feel like a tease. So oh so please get rid of it." Autumn ended with. Leo started nodding when he saw that Daisy was doing it, she was just coping what Mason did because it felt the most polite. "Those things are reasonable, Miss. Gibson." The lady said. "But may I ask? Why did no students tell us in previous years if this has happened if it's true?". Daisy clenched her fist shut under the table. " Because they think they'll get shut down or maybe it's the power that the staff is hiding behind." Daisy quietly said. The lady nodded, " You guys may go, but Autumn I may need that paper." She pointed to the paper in her hands, Autumn gave her it. Then they left.
