For a second betrayal flashed across Mokuba's face till he closed his eyes, I’ll care about all this later Mokuba thought to himself forcing himself to push everything down right now Scott’s in danger and I’ve got to help him.
“Mokuba?”
Mokuba sighed to calm himself "I don't care, I need to find my husband I won't lose him" Mokuba said shoving down everything else ,Jean's eyes widened in horror reading his mind "Mokuba don't be so foolish, we don't even know where they are, and you want to use your powers to find them you could give yourself a stroke" Jean argued.
"He'd do the same for me"
Mokuba let out a shaky breath before closing his eyes again to focus, his powers were pushed past the brink off his limitations causing his legs to buckle after a few seconds.
Jean grabbed his arm to keep him up as blood poured from his nose like an ocean.
It hurt him but he pushed on and just as he physically had to let go he found Scott.
As Mokuba let out a shaky breath he opened his eyes and Jean looked at him worried "Mokuba you look terrible!" Jean told him worried pulling out a tissue and placed it against his nose, "Alkali Lake" Mokuba weakly muttered taking the tissue from him.
"What?!"
Mokuba sighed straightening up "Alkali Lake that’s where Scott is and probably the professor, it's 3,000 miles from here" Mokuba said simply but weakly, "Now you" Mokuba said giving Magneto a stern look.
"You and Mystique have two options: either you do it our way no killing or you get the hell off our jet" Mokuba coldly said causing Magneto to smirk, "Of course we will do it your way" Magneto said before Mokuba rolled his eyes.
"Storm take over co-piloting the ship, Jean and I are heading to the med bay, she'll want to check me out" Mokuba went on making Jean and Storm nod, "Rogue come with us, we're settling the questions of our blood connection, Bobby, John, these two try anything burn and freeze 'em" Mokuba went on.
"Yes professor"
With that, Jean, Rogue, Mokuba and Melissa went to the med bay.
As Mokuba sat down to get looked over Rogue frowned looking at him concerned "are you okay? This all must be a lot for you?" Rogue asked worried, Mokuba chuckled as Jean looked him over "which part? The revelation Mystique is my biological mother and that my entire fucked up childhood was some sick science experiment to turn me into some brainwashed assassin…or the bit that you may be my sister though you may also be talking about the fact my husband and the father of my child is in danger with some sick fuck?" Mokuba questioned her sarcasm laced in his voice, Rogue chuckled "All of the above?" Rogue answered shooting back at Mokuba who smirked.
After a few minutes Mokuba sighed "well at least I know my mother didn't abandon me I was taken from her is somewhat comforting I suppose” Mokuba told her, he looked worried when he thought of Scott “but I can’t think of that but I'm real worried about Scott. I don't know what I'd do if I..." Mokuba trailed off, unwilling to finish the sentence.
"That doesn't excuse your little suicidal attempt" Jean told Mokuba sternly happy that he was okay but unhappy about what he did, Mokuba eyed Jean at that looking annoyed.
"He's my husband Jean, what'd you want me to do?"
"...you're stubborn you know that right?"
Mokuba hummed "I've been told, I'm good to go?" Mokuba asked and Jean nodded, "yes you reckless fool, you're all good" Jean assured before plucking Mokuba's hair.
"Hey!"
"You want me to do a DNA test, don't you?" Jean asked rolling her eyes, Mokuba snorted at that "I'm really being punished for trying to save my husband, Jesus Christ" Mokuba argued as Rogue gave Jean her hair.
"What'd happen to Melissa if you die? If you do things like this repeatedly your baby will grow up without you" Jean agreed, Mokuba glared at that "Fuck off, Jean, I won't let my baby grow up without me I also will not let a madman do something to the man I love" Mokuba yelled at her before Melissa whined in Rogue's arm.
Hearing Melissa whine Mokuba let out a heavy sigh "just do the damn DNA kit" Mokuba muttered to her plucking his baby girl from Rogue, she instantly calmed down in his arms and cooed to him.
"It's all right darling, daddy's here"
Jean frowned, feeling guilty before running the test.
"You know she's angry because she loves you, right?" Rogue piped up to Mokuba who sighed, "I'm sorry Mokie, I was scared, I've been scared since your daughter was born" Jean told him who frowned.
"Why?"
"Well, it would ease my worried if you actually acted like someone who wants to be alive" Jean blurted out to him, "most people run away from that line of life and death, you? You seem to stand at it and wait for a strong wind to push you one way or the other" Jean went on unable to stop herself "Mokuba you're careless with your life, you don't slit your wrist but you're careless probably 'cause of the shit you've been through, but the problem is you bought all the shit people told you and if you don't watch out one day you're gonna die because of it."
Mokuba looked hurt for a moment before as Rogue looked sad Mokuba hurt turned to anger "no you don’t, you don't have any idea of what I've been through Jean, none of this is new information what you think I don't..." Mokuba trailed off sighing, "my options are this careless nature as you called it or actual numbness…so if you're done insulting me tell me is Rogue my sister?" Mokuba coldly inquired.
Jean went to speak but quickly closed her mouth before turning to the test to run it, after a few minutes Jean turned back to them "well?" Rogue asked nervously.
"25% of both of your DNA is a match"
Mokuba smiled softly at that before Rogue grinned to ear to ear "Holy shit, you're really my big brother!" Rogue said excited, Mokuba nodded "And you're really my sister" he agreed before Rogue happily hugged him back.
“This is awesome! I've always wanted a brother" Rogue admitted making Mokuba smile softly, "Well I hope I don't disappoint" Mokuba told Rogue who shook her head.
"You're kidding, having you as my brother is even better than I could imagine" Rogue told him who grinned, "Well you've actually got three brothers now, me, Scott and Scott's brother, Alex" Mokuba told her before he gestured to Melissa.
"Also, an incredible niece you get to spoil rotten."
"Oh, I will"
"I'm gonna suit up, we should be there soon, mind taking Melissa to the cockpit for me?" Mokuba asked her and Rogue nodded taking her into her arms, "yeah sure" Rogue agreed before he did so.
