Chapter Nineteen.
Mokuba chuckled weakly as he tiredly lay in bed as he watched Scott gently rocked their newborn to sleep, Mokuba closed his eyes tiredly still able to hear their steady heartbeats "she's something all right, my body hates me because of her though" Mokuba joked making Scott laugh.
"You'll forgive her"
"Who says I already don’t"
Scott chuckled settling down with Melissa "we made this I can't believe it" Scott commented making Mokuba smile softly, "yeah, it's scary how much I love her already and I don't even know her yet," Mokuba commented.
"She doesn't even know who she is yet"
"I'm being serious Scott"
Scott chuckled before passing Melissa to him "You know what's crazy, the fact Melissa puts her entire trust in us that's freakin crazy" Scott told Mokuba who snorted, "Damn you really know how to sweet talk me don't you?" Mokuba asked feeling better before Scott leaned down to kiss him gently.
"Always baby"
Mokuba chuckled before he shifted to place Melissa who was now asleep down in the crib next to him, "you know I was thinking Storm or Jean can look after Melissa for a couple of hours, or I can, give you some help" Scott offered and Mokuba turned to Scott offended.
"What the hell is that supposed to mean?"
Scott sighed rubbing his arm with his knuckles "Mokie baby I don’t mean any offensive it's just you've been shacked up in our room with Melissa for days, I can’t recall the last time I saw you have a proper night’s sleep…I…I mean have you even eaten today?" Scott asked causing Mokuba to snort, "obviously! It was Taco Tuesday yesterday; I never miss that" Mokuba defended before Scott gave him a look.
"Mokie, honey, today's Friday"
"…Wait what?"
Scott nodded "Yes Mokuba todays Friday, you've not eaten for four days" Scott told Mokuba who hummed, "today's really Friday, huh?" Mokuba simply asked causing Scott to sigh.
"Babe go get something to eat"
"But Melissa..."
"I am her father Mokuba, I'll stay with her go get something to eat maybe go for a walk" Scott told him before just as Mokuba felt anxious the windows shot open causing Mokuba and Scott to quickly shut them, Mokuba instantly checked on Melissa to see she was still sound asleep.
Scott sighed before wrapping his arms around Mokuba’s waist and pulling him close "go Mokie, I've got this" Scott told him urged kissing his neck, Mokuba shock his head fighting the temptation "I can't, I look like shit" Mokuba told him who snorted.
"Impossible"
"I've not showered"
"We live with teenagers Mokuba, the whole place constantly sinks”
"I'm not hungry"
"I can hear your stomach growling"
Suddenly the sound of someone knocking on their ceased their arguing, Mokuba narrowed his eyes at that before moving to open the door.
