Chapter two.
They soon arrived back to base and as Scott landed the jet they went to leave.
They saw Charles waiting for them with another mutant and fellow X Men Ororo Munroe, mainly called Storm.
As they walked down the platform Rogue got nervous as they got closer and grabbed Mokuba's arm instantly, Scott and Mokuba stopped at that before Mokuba gave her a reassuring look.
"Hey, hey it’s okay” Mokuba assured, “you know when Professor Xavier first helped me, I was the same age as you and I was really scared too" Mokuba told Rogue looked surprised.
"You were?" she asked and Mokuba nodded, "oh absolutely I was terrified at first, my first night here I spent worrying about when the other shoe would drop because I didn’t trust that anyone would give a damn about me" Mokuba told her softly.
"But it didn't?" she questioned and Mokuba shook his head, "No it didn’t, he showed me that he cared, Charles Xaviers is a good man who wants to help mutants like you and me and you can trust him I promise you that" Mokuba assured.
She slowly let go of Mokuba at that and walked past him to Charles who gave her a warm and comforting smile.
"Hey, I'm Rogue."
"Hello, Rogue my name's Charles Xavier welcome to my school for gifted youngsters”
Rogue smiled at that before Charles looked to his two X-Men, "we will talk about what happened later for now, Scott escort that man to the infirmary, Jean's waiting” Charles told Scott who nodded.
“Mokuba, if you please take Rogue to her room, we'll enrol her tomorrow," Charles said and Mokuba nodded, "yes, professor," the two said together before Mokuba took Rogue’s and as he teleported her to the upper levels Scott dragged Logan to the infirmary.
Later they met up with the whole team that consisted of Mokuba, Scott, Storm, Jean Grey and Charles who were all sat around the war room drinking coffee as they discussed Mokuba and Scott’s mission.
"So, what happened in Iceland, boys? Did you find Sabertooth?" Storm began and Scott nodded, "yeah, we found him Sabertooth had attacked Logan and Rogue he ran off without much of a fight," Scott explained and Mokuba hummed.
"I don’t see Sabertooth attacking two mutants for no reason I think he was after one or both of the, he didn’t give much away though," Mokuba added, "I may know why," Charles said before bringing up a hologram of a man with metal for bones.
"This is what Jean found when she scanned him."
“Holy shit is that metal?” Mokuba asked surprised and Jean nodded, "His body is full of adamantium, the world's strongest metal he has a healing factor like Mokuba probably how he survived the operation he is already recovering from what happened with Sabertooth" Jean explained.
"Who would…why would he willingly let that happen?" Mokuba questioned pulling his face, "that I don't know, but Magneto wants him for some reason, and we must protect him," Charles told them.
"I believe that is all, get some sleep," Charles told them who all looked relieved, “night professor” they all said before heading off to their bedroom.
The next morning, Mokuba, wearing a black shirt, red checked shirt, blue ripped jeans, black trainers, and black fingerless gloves, headed to the infirmary to check on Logan carrying a coffee for Jean.
"Hey Jean, how is he?"
Jean hummed at that while Mokuba joined her side passing her the coffee before they both looked down at the unconscious man, "he should wake soon thanks for the coffee, has anyone ever told you you’re amazing" she said causing Mokuba to chuckle.
"Course Scott tells me that at least four times a…”
Suddenly Logan jumped up shoving Mokuba to the side causing him to crash into a bunch of jars before he grabbed Jean by the neck, Jean gasped struggling to breathe as he backed her against the wall.
"Shit Jean! Get off her you asshole!"
Mokuba quickly leaped forward with blood trailing down from a bunch off cuts on his face before seizing his arm and teleporting all three of them to Charles's office.
As they reappeared in a different area Logan looked confused so Mokuba used that to phase Jean from his grip before shoving him a way with a strong gust of wind, he stood in front of Jean protectively daring him to attack them again.
"Hello Logan."
Logan paused at that before he turned to Charles "who are you?" Logan asked confused, "I'm Charles Xavier, would you like some breakfast?" Charles simply asked.
"Where am I?"
"Westchester, New York you were attacked," Charles explained "my people brought you here for medical attention.", "I don't need medical attention," Logan said simply with a glare.
"Yes, of course."
"Where's the girl?"
Mokuba lowered his guard as Logan calmed down "Rogue's fine, she's safe here," Mokuba assured before Scott, wearing a black plaid shirt, black jeans, black boots, and his glasses, walked in with Storm.
Mokuba fully relaxed when Scott came in.
"Ah, Logan, I'd like you to meet Ororo Munroe, also called Storm and Scott Summers, also called Cyclops," Charles introduced, "and I believe you've already met Dr. Jean Grey and Mokuba, also known as Whirlwind," he added before Mokuba snorted.
"Oh yeah Professor we’ve met, though it wasn’t exactly pleasant" Mokuba sarcastically muttered moving and placing two fingers on Jean's neck, his vines glowed purple before the bruises on her neck disappeared.
Jean gave Mokuba a thankful look "thanks, Mokuba," she told him who nodded, "Mokuba and Scott saved your life," Charles told him “You’re in my school for the gifted, for mutants, you'll be safe from Magneto.".
"What's a Magneto?"
"A very powerful mutant who believes that war is brewing between mutants and the rest of humanity, I've been following his activities for some time the man who attacked you is an associate of his, called Sabertooth," Charles explained, Logan snorted "Sabertooth? Storm? What do they call you? Wheels?" Logan asked before scoffing.
"This is the stupidest thing I've ever heard."
He went to leave but Scott blocked his way "Cyclops, right? You wanna get out of my way?" Logan asked before grabbing him by the shirt, Mokuba looked worried before Scott gave him a nod making him relax.
"Logan, give me a chance I may be able to help you find some answers," Charles told him, “What is this place?" Logan asked and Charles sighed.
"Anonymity is a mutant's first defence against the world's hostility to the public we're merely a school for gifted youngsters," Charles began, "Cyclops, Whirlwind, Storm and Jean were some of my first students, I protected them, taught them to control their powers, and in time, teach others to do the same," Charles explained.
"Most of my students are mostly runaways, frightened, alone, some with gifts so extreme that they've become a danger to themselves and those around them," Charles told Logan, “Like your friend Rogue, incapable of physical human contact probably for the rest of her life, yet here she is with others her own age, learning, being accepted, not feared," Charles explained.
"What'll happen to her?”
"Well, that's up to her: rejoin the world as an educated young woman or stay on to help others to become what the children have affectionately called X-Men," Charles said, "but the school is merely a public face. The lower levels, however, are an entirely different matter," Charles added.
"When I was a boy, I discovered I had the power to control people's minds, make them think or do whatever I wanted," Charles explained, "when I was 17, I met a young man named Eric Lensherr, he too had an unusual power he could create magnetic fields and control metal believing that humanity would never accept us, he grew angry and vengeful; he became Magneto," Charles explained.
"I'll make a deal with you, Logan. Give me 48 hours to find out what Magneto wants with you, and I give you my word I will use all my power to help you piece together what you've lost and what you're looking for," Charles informed, "Okay, fine," Logan agreed making Charles nod.
"Thank you, Mokuba, can you escort him to a room?"
