Make Me Cry (Present)
He's so tense. She's never seen Piotr so upset. They haven't had a moment alone since they got back to the manor. Whatever's troubling him must be awful. Kitty hopes that it isn't her fault. She feels selfish immediately. It doesn't matter who's fault it is. Piotr is hurt, and they need to address it.
They're finally alone, sitting on a cliff over the ocean, watching the waves break on the beach. It's beautiful. The sun is about to set.
"A lovely day," says Piotr finally.
Kitty's stomach churns. "Sure is." She knows it's useless, but she tries to break the tension with a joke. "You got kidnapped to the far side of the universe and didn't take me along. I'm hurt." She pouts exaggeratedly before bursting into nervous giggles.
Piotr waits for her to go quiet before he speaks. "I met someone else. We fell in love."
