Chapter Two Recovery and Bullies
Loving both (Not steve rogers friendly) Recovery and Bullies
“You take care of my adopted sister, and I don’t want that arrogant super-soldier anywhere near her” he hugged his sister Rhonda again. “Rhonda, I’m ordering you to be on bed-rest” Rhonda blushed “I mean it, sister, no shenanigans and you guys be delicate” Clint and Tony gave innocent looks to Doctor Strange “I promise, my sweet brother, Wong, thank Vishanti you stepped through that portal when you did” She hugged her new best friend whose eyes were suspiciously wet “Come by anytime, Rhonda, Strange here went out of his mind when you were snatched” The cloak wrapped itself around her and was trembling “Awww thanks Levi, you are a sweetheart, I’ll miss your warmth”
“Tony, Clint, put a ring on it and marry my sister soon”
“”You got it, Dumbledore!” Tony winked, “Are you ready, honeybee?” He strapped Rhonda in his car and Clint sat there keeping her calm and composed. “Yes love, ready” she stroked Tony’s goatee and Clint placed a soft kiss on her forehead.
“Let’s get you home, darlin’”

“Oh god” Pepper cried out as she hugged Rhonda “Where’ve you been for five years?” she sobbed as she held her pseudo-sister “In the mental hospital, an alternate dimension” Rhonda was being cuddled by Morgan, four years old now “We missed you, Auntie” Morgan refused to budge until she’d hugged her favourite auntie
“Awwwww, Morgan im not going anywhere for a long time, honeybee”

Rhonda felt something tickling her nose. It was Clint, as he smiled at her and brought her breakfast in bed.
“Hey sleepyhead” he smiled as he handed her coffee first. Do you need help in the bath, baby?” Rhonda smiled back, feeling a warmth spread through her chest. "Good morning, love," she replied, taking a sip of the coffee. The rich aroma and taste brought a sense of normalcy to her morning. "I think I can manage, but I wouldn't mind some company," she added with a playful wink.
Clint chuckled, "Your wish is my command." He helped her out of bed, his touch gentle and reassuring. As they made their way to the bathroom, Tony peeked in, a mischievous grin on his face. "Mind if I join the party?" he asked, holding up a tray with more breakfast goodies.
Rhonda laughed, feeling a sense of belonging and love that she had missed for so long. "The more, the merrier," she said, her heart swelling with gratitude for the two men who had stood by her through thick and thin.
Her body was still covered in fading bruises from the beating she got in the mental hospital. Each mark a reminder of the torment she endured, but also a testament to her resilience. Clint and Tony were gentle, their touches filled with love and care as they helped her through her recovery. They knew that healing wasn't just about the physical wounds, but also the emotional scars that ran deep.
Rhonda found solace in their presence, their unwavering support giving her the strength to face each day. The lakehouse became a sanctuary, a place where she could begin to rebuild her life and find peace. With Clint and Tony by her side, she knew she wasn't alone in this journey. Together, they would overcome the darkness and look forward to a future filled with love and hope. Her smile and strength and resilience quelled their rage to tear a hole to that dimension and obliterate the male nurses and the support worker who put her there. Instead, they channeled their anger into love and care, determined to help Rhonda heal. Each day, they reminded her of her worth and their unwavering support. With every gentle touch and kind word, they built a fortress of love around her, protecting her from the shadows of her past.
Rhonda's recovery was a testament to her indomitable spirit and the power of love. Clint and Tony were her anchors, guiding her through the storm and helping her find her way back to herself. Together, they faced the challenges ahead, knowing that their bond was unbreakable and their love would see them through.
Rhonda couldn't help but chuckle as she played with Clint's "Mo-hawkeye" haircut, a remnant from the time he'd gone a bit off the rails during her five-year absence. Leaning her chin on his shoulder, she felt a sense of peace and belonging. The three of them sat together, laptops open, planning the wedding and sending out invites.
Tony, ever the perfectionist, was meticulously organizing the guest list, while Clint was focused on the venue details. Rhonda, feeling the warmth of their presence, added her own touches to the plans, ensuring that their special day would be a true reflection of their love and resilience. The room was filled with a sense of anticipation and joy, as they looked forward to a future together, stronger than ever. "Why don't we just go to vegas and elope" Rhonda asked as Tony narrowed his eyes playfully at her suggestion
"Vegas, huh? I suppose we could have Elvis officiate," he teased, a smirk playing on his lips. Clint chuckled, shaking his head. "As tempting as that sounds, I think we owe it to ourselves to have the wedding we've been dreaming of. Besides, we've already started sending out invites."
Rhonda laughed, feeling a sense of lightness she hadn't felt in a long time. "Alright, alright. We'll stick to the plan. But maybe we can have a little Vegas-themed party after the ceremony?" she suggested, her eyes sparkling with mischief.
Tony and Clint exchanged amused glances. "Now that," Tony said, "is an idea I can get behind."
Rhonda beamed as she thought hard. “The Empire state building?” Tony raised his eyebrows. And Rhonda looked nervous. Until Tony spoke "The Empire State Building it is then," Tony declared with a grin. "We'll have the most iconic wedding in the city that never sleeps."
Clint nodded, his eyes twinkling with excitement. "It's perfect. We'll make it a day to remember."
Rhonda smiled, feeling a surge of happiness. "I can't wait to see the look on everyone's faces when they get their invites."
With their decision made, the trio continued their planning, each detail bringing them closer to the day they would finally be united as one. The future looked bright, and they were ready to face it together.

Captain America, aka Steve Rogers—or "Capsicle" as Tony liked to call him—strode into the compound with an air of arrogance. "Why hasn't Tony shown up for his monthly team meeting yet?" he demanded, his voice carrying a hint of frustration. "Tony shirks his responsibilities to the team a little too often," he complained to Natasha and Sam. Steve didn't care if Tony was afraid of him after Siberia or if he just thought Tony was being dramatic. His focus was on the mission and the team, even if it meant stepping on a few toes. Tony, on the other hand, couldn't shake the memories of their brutal confrontation. The tension between them was palpable, and it was clear that their relationship would never be the same.
As Steve continued to voice his frustrations to Natasha and Sam, Scott and his girlfriend exchanged worried glances. Clint and Tony had become their friends.
Little did Steve know, Scott Lang and his girlfriend were listening in, watching the scene unfold with the help of FRIDAY and JARVIS. The tension in the room was palpable, and it was clear that this confrontation was just the beginning of a much larger conflict.
Scott Lang and his fiancee Hope Van Dyne made a decision, they decided to call Tony and Clint to check in on Rhonda. She was getting better from the video calls that Scott and Hope saw her improvement day by day. They had received an invite to the close throuple’s wedding at the empire state building. Cassie was going to be their bridesmaid along with Lila and Hope. “We should tell Tony and Clint about this. It’s like I’m seeing a whole different side to Captain America. He’s become a bully, what if he tries to split them up, because he feels threatened by Rhonda, she’s been through so much, Hope” Scott sat on the lab’s couch with Hope stroking his hair. Scott Lang and his fiancée, Hope Van Dyne, made a decision. They decided to call Tony and Clint to check in on Rhonda. From the video calls, Scott and Hope saw her improving day by day. They had received an invite to the close throuple’s wedding at the Empire State Building. Cassie was going to be their bridesmaid along with Lila and Hope.
Hope nodded, her expression serious. “You’re right, Scott. We need to warn them. Rhonda’s been through enough already.”
Scott picked up his phone and dialed Tony’s number. After a few rings, Tony’s face appeared on the screen. “Hey, Scott, what’s up?” Tony asked, his voice tired but alert.
“Tony, you need to be careful,” Scott said urgently. “Steve’s on the warpath. He’s been complaining about you shirking your responsibilities to the team. Just watch yourself, okay?”
Tony sighed, rubbing his temples. “Great, just what I needed. Thanks for the heads-up, Scott. I’ll keep an eye out.”
Hope chimed in, “We’re here for you, Tony. If you need anything, don’t hesitate to reach out.”
Tony nodded, a small smile forming on his lips. “Thanks, guys. I appreciate it. We’ll get through this.”
As the call ended, Tony turned to Clint, who had been listening in. “Looks like we’ve got more than just Rhonda’s recovery to worry about. Steve’s gunning for me.”
Clint frowned, his expression serious. “We’ll handle it, Tony. We’ve faced worse before.”
With renewed determination, they prepared to face whatever challenges lay ahead, knowing that their bond and resilience would see them through.

When Steve Rogers got through to Tony, he was actually blasting him down the phone, giving his best "I'm disappointed in you" glare. Tony tried to keep his cool, but the frustration was evident on his face. Clint, seeing Tony's distress, snapped and took the phone from him.
"Hey Crap-a-tron, you better ease up on my fiancé," Clint said, his voice firm and unwavering. "We're helping Rhodes through his PT right now, and the last thing we need is you adding more stress. Tony's been through enough, and if you can't see that, then maybe you need to take a step back and reevaluate your priorities."
Steve was taken aback by Clint's sudden intervention. He hadn't expected such a strong reaction. "Clint, I—" he started, but Clint cut him off.
"No, Steve. You need to understand that Tony's doing his best. We all are. So back off and let us handle things here. If you can't support us, then stay out of our way," Clint said, his tone leaving no room for argument.
Steve sighed, realizing he might have pushed too hard. "Alright, Clint. I'll back off. Just... make sure Tony knows we still need him."
Clint nodded, his expression softening slightly. "He knows, Steve. He just needs some space right now."
As Clint ended the call, he turned to Tony, who looked relieved. "Thanks, Clint," Tony said, his voice filled with gratitude.
"Anytime, Tony. We're in this together," Clint replied, giving Tony a reassuring pat on the back.
"How long until he discovers that Rhonda's back and starts seeing her as a threat?" Tony put his head against Clint's. "The Extremis is stabilized. Do we think Rhonda's ready?"
Clint sighed, wrapping an arm around Tony's shoulders. "I don't know, Tony. She's been through so much, and now with Steve acting like this... it's a lot to handle. But Rhonda's strong. If anyone can bounce back from this, it's her."
Tony nodded, taking a deep breath. "You're right. We just need to be there for her, and for each other. We'll get through this, together."
Clint gave Tony a reassuring squeeze. "Exactly. We've faced worse before, and we've always come out stronger. This time won't be any different."
Dr. Helen Cho and Dr. Wu gave the go-ahead on the Extremis and Cradle procedure for Rhonda. It was time to repair the damage to her womb and her body for good. The team had been working tirelessly to ensure everything was ready, and now, with the green light from the doctors, they could finally move forward.
Tony and Clint watched as Rhonda was prepped for the procedure, their hearts heavy with a mix of hope and anxiety. They knew this was a crucial step in her recovery, and they were determined to support her every step of the way.
As the procedure began, Tony couldn't help but feel a surge of gratitude for the incredible team of doctors and scientists who had made this possible. He knew that with their expertise and Rhonda's strength, they had a real chance at giving her the future she deserved. Rhodey had already undergone the procedure, and it had successfully fixed his spine and everything else. Seeing his recovery gave everyone hope that Rhonda's procedure would be just as successful. The team watched anxiously as Dr. Helen Cho and Dr. Wu worked their magic, knowing that this was a crucial step in Rhonda's journey to healing.
Tony and Clint stood by, their hearts heavy with a mix of hope and anxiety. They knew that with the expertise of the doctors and Rhonda's strength, they had a real chance at giving her the future she deserved. As the procedure progressed, they couldn't help but feel a surge of gratitude for the incredible team that had made this possible. Add in 'she mouths' I love you as her procedure to fix the damage begins
Rhonda was prepped for her surgery and Extremis procedure. She smiled brightly as Clint and Tony watched her being lowered into the cradle. The Extremis was administered through an IV, and Rhonda never screamed or cried. She simply let it bond with her entirely, like a symbiote.
As the procedure began to fix the damage, Rhonda mouthed, "I love you," to Clint and Tony. Their hearts swelled with emotion as they watched her, their fingers entwined, knowing that this was a crucial step in her recovery.
Tony sniffled, his voice filled with a mix of hope and emotion. "Imagine it, Clint. She could be pregnant by next year."
Clint squeezed Tony's hand gently, offering silent support. "I know, Tony. It's a beautiful thought. And we'll be here every step of the way to make sure it happens." The procedure ended, and Rhonda remained under anesthetic sleep. Tony and Clint watched over her, their fingers still entwined, feeling a mix of relief and anticipation. They knew the road to recovery was just beginning, but seeing her peaceful face gave them hope.
Tony whispered, "She's going to be okay, Clint. I can feel it."
Clint nodded, his eyes never leaving Rhonda. "Yeah, Tony. She's strong. We'll get through this together."
Their heads shot up as they heard Rhonda's voice in their heads. "I love you both," she said, her voice clear and strong despite the anesthetic sleep. Tony and Clint exchanged astonished glances, their hearts swelling with emotion.
"Did you hear that?" Tony whispered, his eyes wide with amazement.
Clint nodded, a smile spreading across his face. "Yeah, I did. She's going to be okay, Tony. She's stronger than we ever imagined."
As they sat by her side, they felt a renewed sense of hope and determination. Rhonda's strength and resilience were a testament to the power of love and support, and they knew that together, they could face any challenge that came their way.
“Guys, you aren’t going crazy, our empathic bond was enhanced by the Extremis” Tony and Clint exchanged astonished glances, their hearts swelling with emotion. Tony whispered, "Did you hear that?"
Clint nodded, a smile spreading across his face. "Yeah, I did. She's going to be okay, Tony. She's stronger than we ever imagined."
"I can feel her love, Clint. This is the most incredible thing in the world," Tony said, tears of joy running down his face.
Clint squeezed Tony's hand, his own eyes glistening with emotion. "I know, Tony. It's amazing. We're going to get through this together, and Rhonda's going to be okay."
As they sat by Rhonda's side, feeling her love and strength through their enhanced empathic bond, they knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, they would face them together, united by their love and determination.
More crappy behavior from Capsicle
Steve Rogers, or "Capsicle" as Tony liked to call him, continued to throw his weight around the compound. His frustration with Tony's perceived lack of commitment to the team was growing, and he wasn't shy about voicing it.
One day, Steve barged into the lab where Tony and Clint were working on some upgrades for Rhodey's suit. "Tony, we need to talk," he said, his tone leaving no room for argument.
Tony looked up, clearly annoyed. "What is it now, Steve?"
"You've been neglecting your duties. The team needs you, and you can't just disappear whenever you feel like it," Steve said, his voice stern.
Clint stepped in, his patience wearing thin. "Steve, back off. Tony's been dealing with a lot, and we're doing everything we can to help Rhonda and Rhodey. You need to cut him some slack."
Steve's expression hardened. "I understand that, Clint, but we have responsibilities. If Tony can't handle it, maybe he should step down."
Tony snapped, his frustration boiling over. He blasted all the work for the Avengers apart, sparing only Clint’s bow and weaponized arrows. With a determined stride, he walked right up to Steve and looked him in the eye.
“I’m done, I’m out, retiring. I’m going solo with my fiancés. Iron Man is out of the Avengers. That’s what you wanted, right?” Tony's voice was cold and resolute.
Steve was taken aback, his stern expression faltering for a moment. “Tony, that’s not—”
“No, Steve. You’ve made it clear. You don’t trust me, you don’t respect me. So I’m done,” Tony interrupted, his voice unwavering.
Clint stood by Tony’s side, his support evident. “We’re a team, Steve. But if you can’t see that, then maybe it’s time for a change.”
Tony's eyes flashed with anger. "You don't get to decide that, Steve. We're all doing our best here. Maybe you should try being a little more understanding."
The tension in the room was palpable, and it was clear that Steve's behavior was driving a wedge between the team members. As they stood there, locked in a silent standoff, it became evident that something had to give.
************************************************************************************************************************
"So who's gonna fund us and house us?" Steve complained to James, who just rolled his eyes.
"You goddamn punk, always looking for a fight," James growled as the Winter Soldier took over. "When you gonna learn, Stevie? We almost killed Tony in Siberia, and now we're back and pardoned. You want him to sit with his parents' killer and sing kumb-fucking-baya? After you lied and embezzled SI funding to find me. I didn't want to be found, you punk. I was quite happy in Romania."
Steve's face hardened, but he couldn't deny the truth in James's words. The tension between them was palpable, and it was clear that their past actions had left deep scars. As they stood there, locked in a silent standoff, it became evident that something had to give.
The next day, Steve woke up to find eviction notices and the Accords Committee in the compound, talking to Tony about buying the building. As he processed the scene, Rhonda spotted him. Her eyes glowed with fire, and she went atomic upon seeing the man who had almost killed Tony, tried to turn Clint against him, and invited a Hydra volunteer onto the team.
Steve's face hardened as he approached Tony. "What's going on here?" he demanded.
Tony looked up, his expression cold. "We're done, Steve. The Accords Committee is buying the building. We're moving out."
Rhonda stepped forward, her anger palpable. "You have no idea what you've done, Steve. You almost destroyed us, and now you're trying to tear us apart again."
Steve tried to defend himself, but the weight of his actions hung heavily in the air. It was clear that the rift between them was deep, and it would take more than words to mend it.
Steve was stunned, too stunned to speak as Tony continued speaking. Tony's eyes were cold and hard as he spoke next. "I want you and your pet Hydra witch gone. Sam too. You broke me, Steve. I'm done with cleaning up after you. I'm done. You've done nothing but give me shit, and I've given and given, and still you want more. You did this, Steve. I've done a lot that I'm not proud of, but I've always owned up to my mistakes. It's time you started standing on your own two feet. I'm not gonna be your sugar daddy anymore, and neither Clint nor I will be your punching bag any longer. We've signed the accords as our own team along with Rhodey and Carol."
Steve's face fell as he realized the gravity of Tony's words. The rift between them had grown too wide to bridge, and Tony's decision was final. The Avengers as they knew it were no more, and it was time for Steve to face the consequences of his actions. Steve only spoke up when Barnes joined them... with a duffle bag? "Buck... I thought it was you and me till the end of the line," Steve said, his voice filled with desperation.
Barnes shook his head as he looked at Tony and nodded. "I can't be here for you, Stevie. I don't even know what's happened to the little kid from Brooklyn, but the serum has changed you into someone I don't like. I know Wanda is trying to get better at her magic, but I won't be associated with Hydra, Stevie."
Steve's eyes filled with tears of desperation. "Please, Bucky... you are the only one who understands me. I'll do better, I promise."
Barnes sighed, his expression pained. "I wish I could believe that, Steve. But right now, I need to do what's best for me. And that means walking away."
As Barnes turned to leave, Steve felt a crushing sense of loss. The bond they once shared seemed irreparably broken, and he was left to face the consequences of his actions alone.
Wanda's mouth hardened into thin lines. "So it's true, you used me as a precedent to get Bucky found innocent," she growled at Steve, her voice filled with anger and betrayal.
Steve's eyes widened in shock. "Wanda, it's not like that. I was trying to help Bucky, to give him a chance at redemption."
Wanda's eyes blazed with fury. "You manipulated the situation for your own benefit, Steve. You used me, and now you're trying to justify it. I won't stand for it." Wanda walked to her room and quietly packed her bag. Everything she had ever believed in was crumbling. Captain America was good, Tony Stark was evil—those were the absolutes she had clung to. But now, she saw the truth. She asked to speak to someone in the Accords Committee about training her powers in Kamar-Taj. Tears flowed as she realized how much damage she had caused Tony with Ultron. Her brother would be so disappointed in her. "Pietro, I wish you were here, my sweet brother," she whispered, her heart heavy with regret and sorrow.
The tension in the room was palpable as Steve struggled to find the right words. It was clear that his actions had far-reaching consequences, and the trust he had once taken for granted was now shattered.
Sam was the next to leave. "No man left behind, Steve, and you did that to Tony after you damn near killed a grieving man. You used me to bury the file about the Winter Soldier in the Helicarriers. Thousands of innocent people died for nothing. I'm going back to Louisiana, and my sister” Sam walked to the Accords members and asked to sign as a solo military rescue operative.
Steve's face fell as he realized the gravity of Sam's words. The weight of his actions was becoming increasingly clear, and the trust he had once taken for granted was now shattered. As Sam walked away, Steve was left to face the consequences of his actions alone, the team he once led now fractured and broken.
“What have I done?” Steve said to himself as he collapsed on the sofa behind him, his mind racing with the weight of his actions. "What have I done?" he muttered to himself, the realization of the damage he had caused sinking in. The team he once led was now fractured, and the trust he had taken for granted was shattered. As he sat there, alone and filled with regret, he knew that he had a long road ahead to make amends and rebuild the relationships he had broken.
