The next morning.
Stephanie was in the front desk as she sat back into the front desk chair going back to her work on her computer. until she was rudely interrupted by no one other than Jason and Dick
“Hey~ what are you doing~,” Jason said in an annoying teasing voice as he leaned on the counter. leaned on the wall as he was on his phone.
“Trying to finish up just some work. Today has been Calm today some regulars came by that's about it..,” she said as she looked over at them
“Some here patrol has been quiet just a few mugging,s,” Jason said with a chuckle.
As Stephanie, I remembered something “Actually there was a boy who looked around 12 who came in last night. He is a sweet boy but definitely, not around here with that personality he is too nice to be a Gotham kid.”
“A good kid in Gotham you got my attention.” dick Pushed himself from the wall and went over to Stephanie and Jason to join the conversation
“ He came here? A homeless Shelter. Poor kiddo” If Jason took some pity on the kid.
“Believe me I was surprised too” Stephanie looked over and saw a Familiar jacket peeking out behind the wall “Peter you could come out. Good morning did you sleep well”
“Oh.. yes Miss Stephanie, thank you again for letting me say the night.” As Peter was avoiding eye contact with Jason and dick as he kept his head down.
“Oh let me introduce you to Dick and Jason we're kind of like family. don't worry they don't bite” Stephanie Said to loosen some of the tension between them.
“Okay. Well, it's nice to meet you two. My name is Peter Parker,” Parker said with a small smile as he looked up at them.
“Well, it's nice to meet you too Parker. Do you have an accent where are you from kiddo? “ Jason said as he looked down at Peter with a smile
As Peter saw the kind smile and felt less tense “I'm from Queens”
“Queens? New York is Pretty far from here. did you come alone?” Dick Said in a serious voice almost as if he was studying Peter.
“Umm well it Kind of hard to explain everything but yeah I guess I did” Is Parker was trying to end the conversation about him coming here alone “Oh miss Stephanie I was I'm going to ask you if you needed any help with anything” he said with a big smile
“Help with anything? Um well I Don't need help with anything right now but I will be sure to remember asking you if I need help with anything” Stephanie set a sweetly
“Parker, do you have a play to say? You know the homeless shelter is not the safest?” dick said with a serious voice
