Note
I haven't read that many comics with Logan's kids so I hope they're not too out of character.

Sunday morning

Morph felt Logan move their shoulder. But they just grabbed the sheets and snuggled in closer.

"Five more minutes" they said sleepily.

"If we leave late, we'll arrive at the mansion at night" Logan said. "I'll go wake the kids while you get up."

Logan left the room, already dressed, and knocked on the front door, whistling. "Time to get up."

He heard Akihiro grunt and mutter something in Japanese, followed by Laura speaking. "We'll be out in a second”

Still near the door, he could hear her speaking to Aki. "Don't make me throw you out of bed."

"You couldn't do that."

"Oh, you want to try me?"

Logan shook his head as he went back to the other room, where he found Morph sitting on the bed, Putting on clothes

"How did it go with the kids? Are they awake?" asked, putting on a shirt before getting up and going for their leather jacket.

Logan sighed. "I hope they don't stab each other."

Morph approached and quickly kissed him on the lips. "I guess they got their character from their charming father."

Logan snorted, smiling, and placed his hand on Morph's waist. "I hope being around you brings out more of you."

A little later, after everyone was up and eating something, they got in the car. Logan was driving and Morph was next to him. The others were in the back, Akihiro and Gabby still half asleep. They left.

A while later on the road, they heard a strange sound and a small movement in the car.

"What was that?" Morph asked, looking at Logan.

“There must have been a rock in the road.”

“You should pull over and make sure no tires are flat” Morph said.

“It was just a little bump. I doubt it did anything to a tire.”

"If you have a flat tire, it's easier to change it now than when it's completely flat" Morph argued.

"That's not true, it's the same thing" Logan replied, continuing to drive.

"I think Morph is right," Laura said. "It makes more sense to check it and change the tire right away. It'll be harder later."

Logan looked at her over his shoulder, frowning. "How many car tires have you changed?"

Wolverine saw Gabby still asleep, leaning against Akihiro, while he looked amused by the situation. He then saw Morph beside him raising an eyebrow with an expression that could be described as "Are you going to be what I tell you to be, or not?"

"Okay, I'll do it. But only because I love you." With that, he pulled over to the side of the road.

He got out and checked the rear tires. Logan sighed. "The tire's flat. I think I have another one in the trunk. Akihiro, come help me with this."

"No way!" Morph said, feigning surprise, getting out of the car and looking at Logan. "That's totally unexpected. No one would have imagined it!"

"Yeah, yeah, I know" Logan said, pulling the tire out of the trunk along with the jack.

Akihiro and Laura got out of the car while Gaby stayed inside, half asleep. And aki went to help his father with the tire.

Laura and Morph got a few meters away, watching them change the tire.

"I've seen you train with your dad sometimes. You're really good, you know that?" Morph leaned close to Laura, gently bumping her shoulder.

Laura shrugged. "Genes, I guess."

"Genes gave you the claws, but not the fighting skills. You get that through hard work. You can't tell me you fight the same now as you did a couple of years ago."

"I guess." Laura shrugged again and looked at the ground, frowning. "I supposed to be a bad copy of Wolverine. It would be weird if i didn't know how to fight."

"No one sees you like that. You're not an extension of your father. You're your own person, and to be honest, I think you could be a better Wolverine than your dad" Morph said calmly but confidently.

"I can heard you" Logan said, raising his voice.

After a moment, they finished changing the tire. Morph got back in the car, and before Laura could, Logan touched her shoulder.

"They're right" he said with a smile. "You're my daughter, and I'm sure you'll be a great X-Men one day."

"Thanks, Dad" Laura whispered.

"You two are going to make me cry" Akihiro said jokingly, sitting in the car.

They got in, and Logan started the car. Morph's hand gently touched his knee, and when their eyes met, the shapeshifter gave his a sweet smile.

"Something wrong?" Gabby rubbed her eyes, feeling more awake.

"Nothing, pumpkin" Logan said sweetly.

"Dad got a hard one and then wouldn't admit that the morph was right and he wasn't," Akihiro said, shaking Gabby's hair.

Logan might get offended by that, but Akihiro didn't usually refer to him as dad, at least not very often, so he was going to let it go.

"Okay, okay, now do Cyclops," Akihiro said, touching the morph seat.

They'd been transforming for a while and doing imitations of whatever the kids asked them to do. It didn't bother them, at least to make a few jokes; after all, being able to change their appearance was their power.

They transformed into Scott and imitated his angry voice. "Akihiro, this is a school. You can't be shirtless. Go put something on!"

The others burst out laughing.

"Do daddy!" Gabby said.

And they did. "Oh, Morph, I love you so much. I don't know what I'd do without you. You're so handsome."

"I don't talk like that." Logan had a small smile on his lips.

" Gwrr Canada" Morph continued.

"Why do you always make that joke? I never usually mention Canada."

"Why?" Gabby asked, and Morph went back to their old self.

"Oh..." Logan began. "I don't remember many things from there.”

“Maybe we could all go there for a vacation sometime,” Morph said. “A real vacation, not just two days.”

“We can’t be away from the team for too long. What happens if there’s an emergency?” Logan looked at them sideways for a few seconds.

“The team is full of very powerful mutants. They’re not going to die if you’re gone for a couple of weeks.”

Morph knew Logan had a problem with letting down the people he loved, and what had happened with Morph and Sinister hadn’t helped. Sydney tried to remind him from time to time that there were things out of his control and that he couldn’t always be on his toes. Sometimes he had to relax.

But relaxing too much meant putting his family in danger, for Wolverine.

“I guess” Logan shrugged slightly, reminding Morph of how Laura had done the same thing a few hours ago.

“I think it’ll be great!” Gabby said happily. “We could see real Wolverines!”

“Those are wild animals, honey.” Logan looked at her in the mirror. “They’re not like cats. You can’t pick them up and pet them.”

“Why not?” The expression on Gabby’s face reminded they of the expression Logan made when he was told he couldn’t prop up villains with his claws.

While Logan argued with the girl about the issue, morph giggled and felt something warm in his chest. They e really liked this… being part of a family.
