‘He's no son of mine. He's some kind of animal.’
The flashbacks and words of that day plague a regressed Sabretooth non-stop sending him into a crying fit and a search for Logan. Victor runs to Logan’s room searching there for him, the little is unsuccessful there, so goes to search the kitchen but all he finds is a displeased Scott who angrily asks what Victor is doing outside his room without Logan supervising him.
Sabretooth leaves the kitchen after that crying more. He’s so upset he doesn’t even realize he is hiding inside Charles’ office where Logan and Charles are having a discussion about the very person who just so happened to have stumbled in.
Upon seeing Logan the little runs over making insistent grabby hands the bad thoughts and memories are so loud in his head he needs the other to drown them out by letting him cling to him.
Logan picks him up bouncing him a bit to calm down his crying fit. Victor hadn’t even realized he was babbling at the other incoherently until Logan was shushing him and telling him to calm down first.
“Okay Bub what’s got ya all fussy?”
Logan asks after Victor’s cries are just left as sniffles. Victor whines before he answers Logan’s question.
“I’ll be good.”
That’s all Victor has to say for Logan to understand that his little Sabre cub was being plagued by bad memories. He excuses himself from his talk with Charles who gives him a nod saying they’ll keep talking later.
Logan carries Victor to his room grabbing a pacifier since he noticed the little was chewing the inside of his cheek. Once he’s found it he pops it into Sabretooth’s mouth and cradles him close.
“You’re not an animal Victor. You’re a good boy.”
Logan spoke, giving Victor a forehead kiss and cuddling him for the rest of the day.
