19: The Meeting

latinoheat151: Kate couldn't tell her parents because she doesn't know how they would react. The Bishop family has never once experience something like that. And even though Kate was spared from that experience she still came close. I pretty much mention it chapter 17 she won't be Hawkeye since she was spared, but it will make her decide to defend herself. The only thing that kept her going is the thought of Peter, who she will meet again later on, and he might meet her family. Her dad won't like the idea of her daughter dating a gangster, and this chapter will explain why

Somewhere in Manhattan: Outside Abandoned Construction Site
With the meeting taking place as the construction site seen in front of them, appearing like a tall building. Whitney Chang is seen arriving in her car with Ronin being seen wearing a coat and hat, as she parked the car in an alleyway with the warehouse in front of them
Whitney Chang: This is it
Ronin: Remind me again why this site is abandoned when it's been constructed?
Whitney Chang: It's the economy. Couldn't afford completion and the impact is taking its toll on major construction programs that they couldn't afford more workers, which is why they had to rely on immigrants for cheap labor, but because of the government shut down many illegal immigrants are planning to move back to their home country. To make matters worse the government cut spending on social and economic welfare on regular folks. Couldn't afford workers, and the strike pretty much made matters worse, so they decided to abandon the project until someone funds it again
Ronin: Wow, so the economy is taking its toll on regular people?
Whitney Chang: Government corruption, pure and simple. The rich walk away with huge sums of cash, while the poor suffers. Another reason why honest journalist are being hunted down
Ronin: So any idea what we'll expect to find here?
Whitney Chang: Not sure, but besides a squad of NYPD coming here soon, I'm thinking it might be Kingsley or somebody knew
Ronin: Well the only way to find out is to get in there. We better get moving
Whitney Chang: My camera is ready and set
Ronin and Whitney got out of the car and head to the construction site, but in another part of the area a chopper is seen heading to the location with Sable seen inside as she contacts Meiko on the ground using her head-set, now in her Dragonfly alias and holding her katana

Silver Sable: Good, now I want you to cover the ground just incase, and see to it no interruption are made

Dragonfly hangs up and covered her face as she went inside the construction site. Another part of the area is the NYPD. With George Stacy, Frank Quaid, and Yuri Watanabe

Ronin and Whitney are seen sneaking inside as they remain close to each other

The two climb up until the reach towards the top as they find a place to hide as they see a slightly overweight man with a mustache standing with a briefcase, as Whitney recognizing who it is

Derek is seen worried as to what would happen as he hears a voice coming from the shadow, revealing to be Hammerhead. Surprising Ronin

Coming out of the shadows are men in black suits and white shirt wearing Oni mask carrying steel nunchucks, but coming out of the shadows is a black-skin Asian man with white hair, white suit and tie with black shirt carrying an ancient Chinese blade, A man Derek knows by his reputation

Mr. Negative: Derek Bishop, I'm pleased you've come
Whitney Chang: Holy crap that's him
Ronin: (That's Mr. Negative? Well at least he's the first villain with a much nicer suit)
Mr. Negative then approached Derek and sees the briefcase

Derek hands him the briefcase as Mr. Negative opens it. Looking pleased with what he sees and closes it
Mr. Negative: Excellent. You will be rewarded for your service Derek
Derek Bishop: Listen, people at my workplace are starting to get suspicious, even my own family are wondering where I've been. So if this what you requested then-

Mr. Negative used his power on his blade and in one fell slash kills the Inner Demon in front of him. Shocking not only Derek but Ronin and Whitney who could not believe he would do that to his own men

Construction Site: Outside
NYPD forces are seen about to enter the Construction site, with some of the forces talking
George Stacy: Alright, once we get inside all eyes open. We can't expect any surprises to follow
Frank Quaid: So get your balls tight in there, cause we're gonna jump some bad guys in there
Vin Gonzales: Don't worry little sis, I'll protect you

Ronin and Whitney still hiding and could not believe what they just saw but wonders what to do next

Ronin: I know (Derek Bishop. Not only the CEO of Bishop Enterprise, but he's also the dad of Kate Bishop. Kate… oh man this is not good. I've only seen her twice already, but I know a good person when I see one. Kate is that, but I don't know how she would react seeing her dad doing shady business, especially one like Mr. Negative, but to make it worse if he gets killed in the process, and I'm not gonna let Kate lose his dad like this. Don't know how he's involved, but I need to do something and fast)
Mr. Negative: We are done here Hammerhead
Hammerhead: Beat it Derek. Don't you have a family to go back to?
Derek Bishop: But?
Ronin: ( spider-sense ) Huh!?
Suddenly, a pumpkin bomb was thrown into the building as it explodes. Taking the others by surprise, with Ronin protecting Whitney

Arriving from the smoke as it starts to clear is a man in a custom-made glider wearing a costume similar to the Green Goblin, but in an orange color skin with blue colored armor and grey hood and cape
? Gentlemen, may I have your attention please!
Ronin: What the heck!?
Hammerhead: Oh great. Another crazy elf
Mr. Negative: Who are you?
Hobgoblin: Call me the Hobgoblin, and I believe you have something of mine
Mr. Negative: And that would be?
Hobgoblin: Whatever is inside that briefcase
Hobgoblin pointed to the briefcase Mr. Negative is holding
Hobgoblin: Hand it over
Hammerhead: Like that's ever gonna happen!
Mr. Negative: Whoever you are, you have made a grave mistake, for I have myself an army
Hobgoblin: Oh really, well so have I
Suddenly, Bullseye appeared and throws his weapons at the Inner Demons, with Swiss Miss turning her hands into blades and striking at them, with Menace appearing last along with Typhoid Mary and White Rabbit

Hobgoblin: Well that didn't take long
Menace: Is this it? I thought there would be more effort
Bullseye: Menace is right, this is actually pretty easy

Just then a pair of rockets were fired upon as Menace threw her pumpkin bombs. Causing them to explode by impact as Derek ran to cover, but then the chopper appeared as Sable is seen

Hobgoblin: Well this just got interesting
Silver Sable: Good evening gentlemen and I take it you must be Mr. Negative. A pleasure to meet you at last
Hammerhead: No, I don't believe it!

Mr. Negative: My, my, my. Well this is turning into an interesting event
Hobgoblin: Doesn't matter, the briefcase is ours whether you like it or not!

Just then a rocket was fired upon, damaging the chopper as Sable got out and landed on top of the building while it is still seen flying

Appearing from the sky is the Beetle and Vulture as they are seen carrying White Dragon, Headhunter, and Shocker

White Dragon: Finally! I get to burn something!
Headhunter: Not unless I cut something first!
Vulture: Will you be silent and pay attention

In a couple of floors down, George and Frank along with the NYPD forces felt a vibration coming from the top

George Stacy: Yeah, I did, what was it?
Frank Quaid: I don't know, but where's Yuri? You think she's up there?
George Stacy: If she is then she's much bolder then I gave her credit
Vin Gonzales: Damn, something's going on up there

Diamondback manages to kill few cops using her diamond-blades and went to cover, with the rest opening fire. Diamond back then grabbed her bag containing diamonds as she threw it at the, causing a distraction as she brought out two of her guns and killed a couple of more cops until she went to cover
Vin Gonzales: Holy crap, who is she!?
Stan Carter: Doesn't matter, just stay focused!
Michelle Gonzales: Agreed, and wise-ass!
Stan Carter: Yeah!?

On top of the construction building, the fight between the Hobgoblin gang, Silver Sable and the Sinister Syndicate still rages on. Mr. Negative is seen fighting with Shocker and Headhunter against Hobgoblin, Typhoid Mary and Swiss Miss. Shocker blasted his sonic blast at Typhoid Mary, as she tries to fire back without being hit. Headhunter is seen taking on Swiss Miss as he tries to land a blow until her arm changes into a blade and blocked it. Hobgoblin then fought using his glider's gadgets and throwing weapons, but Negative appeared to have blocked and evaded his attacks as he manages to jump on his glider
Shocker: Hold still!
Typhoid Mary: Like I would seriously do that!
Swiss Miss: Damn you're tough!
Headhunter: I'm more then tough sugar!
Mr. Negative: I must admire for your tenacious Goblin, but this is surely not the way to do business
Hobgoblin: Well a little business espionage wouldn't hurt
Bullseye is seen using his throwing weapons on White Dragon, who manages to burn them and tries to hit him
Bullseye: Well that was a neat trick!
White Dragon: Oh I have more tricks up my sleeves
Bullseye: Oh yeah, well here's mine!
With an opening, Bullseye took out a throwing weapon and threw it at White Dragon. Piercing right through his left eye
White Dragon: OOOOOOOWWWWWW!
Bullseye: Bullseye
White Dragon: I'M GOING TO KILL YOU FOR THAT YOU PIECE OF SHIT!
Menace is seen in the air fighting both Vulture and Beetle
Menace: Back for more old man!?
Vulture: I still have a fight left in me young lady!
Beetle: I love that look of yours lass. Shame I have to shoot it!
Silver Sable is seen fighting hard against Hammerhead, who she thinks he put a hit on her
Silver Sable: I always knew you were too thick to get through that metal head of yours, but I never thought you would do this to me!

A few floors down, most of the police forces are seen to be either killed or injured. Leaving only George, Frank, Stan, Michelle and Vin as they are seen still opening fire at Diamondback, who threw a diamond-blade and injuring Vin

Michelle Gonzales: VIN NO!
George Stacy: God dammit! How you holding up Frank!?
Frank Quaid: What does it look like; the bitch took out all of our guys

George picked up a gun on the floor and got into cover

George reloaded each gun as he held them on both his hands and got out of cover. Diamondback reloaded her gun and fire as she sees George running out of cover and jumping in mid-air and open fire at her
Stan Carter: CAPTAIN STACY!
Frank Quaid: STAN! MICHELLE! GET VIN AND ANY INJURED OUT OF HERE!
Michelle Gonzales: WHAT ABOUT CAPTAIN STACY!?
Frank Quaid: DON'T WORRY ABOUT HIM, HE'S DONE THIS BEFORE! JUST MOVE!
Stan Carter: You alright to stand Vin!?

Stan and Michelle got Vin out, with Frank getting the injured cops, as George heldn his own against Diamondback as he manages to shoot of her guns

Diamondback threw her diamond-blades and knock out one of his gun, as George charges in with his remaining gun, which Diamondback took out her diamond-dagger, as the two fought in close combat. George tries to land a shot, and Diamondback trying to land a blow, until suddenly his gun ran out of ammo as Diamondback used this opportunity and kicked George back as he landed on one of the pillars

George Stacy: Agh! Ugh
Diamondback: Not bad. Didn't think you can fight like that
George Stacy: I… still have some moves left
Diamondback: I can see that. Shame you have to die
Wraith: Not on my watch!
Diamondback: Huh!?
Suddenly a long yellow ribbon was lashed out on her as the Wraith appeared and appeared to be protecting George

As the fight still rages on, Derek is seen trying to sneak away from the fight, until White Rabbit is seen holding a gun at him

Ronin: Not by my watch
Ronin knocked back White Rabbit before she gets a chance to shoot him, as Whitney appeared and grabbed Derek by the arm

Whitney got Derek out and went downstairs as Ronin took out his sword and confront White Rabbit

Ronin: I'm gonna take you down rabbit

As they fight, Menace sees Ronin. Still remembering what happened last time

Beetle: Whoopsie!
Vulture: You should have paid attention young lady!
With the impact of the blast, Menace falls on top of the building were the fighting takes places and lands near Swiss Miss

As Menace gets up, Headhunter is seen approaching with his large axe as he is prepared to strike

Using her hidden blades and pierced Headhunter through his kneecap, Menace stabbed Headhunter's arm as she manages to grab his own axe as he fall to his knees

Quick a quick kill, Menace used his own axe and cut Headhunter's own head off. Shocking the Syndicate and Ronin, while the others are left impressed

Vulture: Dear god
Beetle: Oh fuck!

Just then, a flash grenade was thrown onto the fight and was triggered. Ronin covered his eyes just in time to see everyone being blind, until everyone's vision started to come back as they see a stranger in a black armor with a white skull helmet and a painted skull on his chest appeared. Punisher took out his gun and shot White Dragon on the spot
Punisher: I'm the Punisher, and it's time for all of you… to be punished!
Punisher then took out another of his guns and open fire at everyone, with Ronin manages to head into cover as everyone else
Hobgoblin: ARGH!

Menace: WHY YOU!
Beetle: WHO THE FLIPPING HELL IS THAT TOSSER!?
Silver Sable: OH GOD!
Headhunter: SERIOUSLY, WHO THE HELL IS THIS GUY!?
Mr. Negative: HAMMERHEAD, GET THE BRIEFCASE!
Headhunter: ON IT BOSS!
Mr. Negative: BEETLE, GET US BOTH OUT! WE'RE LEAVING!
Beetle: THE BEETLE EXPRESS, COMING RIGHT UP! OYE VULTURE!
Vulture: YOU GO, I'LL HANDLE THIS THUG MYSELF!
Hammerhead run and grabbed the briefcase as he and Mr. Negative hold onto Beetle's legs as they flew off. Vulture then moved in and knocked his guns off as he grabbed Punisher
Punisher: Huh!?
Vulture: YOU WILL PAY FOR THAT!
While Vulture lifts Punisher in the air, Menace is seen still holding Headhunter's axe as she strikes Silver Sable on the ground and prepare for the kill. Ronin sees this in shock

Silver Sable: Argh! You!
Menace: You may not be who I want, but at least there is one less filth to worry about!
Ronin: NOOO!
Ronin run towards Menace and grabs her away from Sable
Silver Sable: What the?
Menace: You!
Ronin: Stop this! Stop what you're doing!

While he still holds her, Menace got up and flew in the air as Ronin tries to restrain her. Meanwhile, Vulture is still holding Punisher in the head as he prepares to drop him
Vulture: I don't know who you are, but you made a big mistake killing one of my associates!
Punisher: And you make a big mistake not retiring!
With his strength Punisher grabbed Vulture's legs and broke it, while he took out his knife
Vulture: AAAAAAAAAAARRRGGGHHH!

Punisher then stabbed Vulture on the side as he climbed up to his neck
Vulture: NOOOO!
Punisher: DIE!
Punisher stabbed Vulture on the chest repeatedly. Causing the villain to feel his own blood filling up his lungs as he started to fell on the ground. Meanwhile, Ronin is still restraining Menace as he tries to convince her while in the air
Ronin: STOP! YOU NEED TO STOP RIGHT NOW!
Menace: LET GO OF ME NINJA!
Ronin: I'M SERIOUS, THIS ISN'T YOU!
Menace: GET OFF ME!
Menace tries to shake him of as she grabbed Ronin and sees a nearby empty building. Throwing him on the wall as she rammed him threw and landed on the ground
Ronin: Argh!
Menace: You should have run off when you had the chance
Ronin: I'm not trying to run off, I'm trying to save you!
Menace: What!?
Ronin: It's not too late… It's not too late to turn back…
Menace: There is nothing for you to make me turn back!
Ronin: I know your story, I know that you're in trouble, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't ask for help!
Menace: What did you say?
Ronin: … It's still not too late for you to back down… I can help you… I can save you… Please… let me save you
Hearing those words coming from him, Menace became stunned and in shock as she recognize those words coming from a certain individual she knew. Spider-Man
Menace:…
Ronin: …
Menace:… No… No you can't… You can't be…
Ronin: … Please
Menace: You can't be… YOU CAN'T BE!
Menace strikes with the axe, but Ronin counters her moves and kicked her away while grabbing her weapon. Wielding the axe from her while Menace got up and took out her flaming sword
Menace: You can't be… I killed you
Ronin: … I saved you
Menace:… You should have left me… YOU SHOULD HAVE LEFT ME TO DIE!
Menace angrily attacks himwith her flaming sword, as Ronin blocks it with the axe while seeing her feeling desperate
Menace: HOW!? HOW IS IT THAT YOU'RE STILL HERE!? WHY DO YOU EVEN BOTHER COMING AFTER ME!
Ronin: YOU ASK ME FOR YOUR HELP, SO THAT'S WHY! I AM HERE FOR YOU! TO SAVE YOU!
Menace: Spider-Man! You should have freed me! YOU SHOULD HAVE FREED ME BY LETTING ME DIE!
Ronin: I SAW WHAT YOU TOOK THAT DAY! THAT STUFF YOU'RE TAKING, IT'S MESSING WITH YOU!
Menace: IT'S THE ONLY WAY FOR ME TO SUCCEED!
Ronin: PLEASE STOP! I'M HERE TO SAVE YOU!
Menace: YOU WANT TO SAVE ME THEN YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE TO KILL ME!
Ronin: I WON'T KILL YOU MENACE! KILLING YOU WON'T SOLVE ANYTHING!
Menace: THEN I WILL MAKE YOU!
Menace moves in for the strike as Ronin is on the defense as he struggles to protect himself while trying not to harm her
Menace: WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR! KILL ME!
Ronin: I WON'T KILL YOU!
Menace: THEN YOU'VE MET YOU'RE DOOM!
( BAM )
Ronin: Off!
As she sees an opening Menace kicked Ronin back as she threw a pumpkin bomb at him. Causing it to explode at his face and causing him to fall out of the window. Crash landed on a couple of brick walls and steel bars before landing on the ground with his mask fallen off while his head was injured. Menace flew out and landed on the ground with her flaming sword out as she approaches and ready for the kill while feeling a sense of sympathy and admiration for Ronin
Menace: I admit Spider-Man… I never thought you would come for me, and I'm flattered that you did… But I'm already deep in, and if they find out that you live then who knows what will happen… My service is my only path for me to be free… I am far from saving Spider-Man, and though I won't kill you I will cripple you instead… I am grateful that you've come for me… and this pains me to do this… I am sorry
As she turned his body, Menace sees that the unmasked person's face to see the person is someone she knows dearly, which has shocked and stunned her
Menace:… P… Peter…?
Menace feels deeply surprised and confused that the one who is both Spider-Man and Ronin is also Peter Parker, the boy who she had fallen in love with as Gwen Stacy, and the one she abandoned. Leaving her more upset then before, while realizing she was about to cripple him as he was intended to save her
Menace:… No… No this can't be… This can't be… Peter is… is…
Suddenly she hears someone coming, and while she hesitates, Menace turned off her flaming sword and flew away. With her gone, a car suddenly appeared as the person coming out is Whitney Chang, who then sees an unmasked Ronin on the ground
Whitney Chang: Ronin! Ronin hang on I-
Whitney then sees his mask on the floor as she picked, but as she approaches Whitney could not believe who the identity of Ronin really was
Whitney Chang: Oh my god
AUTHOR'S NOTE: Action scenes are hard to do, but it's close enough
Well this has gone from bad to worse as Menace now knows that the Ronin is not only Spider-Man but Peter Parker as well. How will this goes is something you are going to have to wait and see. Along with Whitney Chang who now knows his identity after this
Here I'm giving George Stacy his action star moment just for the hell of it. Lastly we have the first appearance of Mr. Negative, who is now part of the Sinister Syndicate along with Hammerhead. Another entering the scene is the Hobgoblin, but this version I'm doing things slightly from the 90's Animated series. Costume is the same as the Green Goblin, with some color change and a grey hood and cape
Swiss Miss, Headhunter, White Dragon, and Vulture are now dead, and it will get worse later on
Derek Bishop is being involved in this somehow, which will get Peter closing in on what
