The air crackled with energy as the Alchemax Collider whirred to life. Miles Morales, alongside the other Spider-People, raced to stop the Spot from absorbing the dark matter swirling dangerously within the core.
“Hold him off! Don’t let him get near it!” Miles shouted, dodging a vortex of swirling black spots that tore through the collider chamber.
The others leaped into action, but Spot’s mastery of his powers overwhelmed them. Gwen’s voice cut through the chaos. “Miles, he’s too close! We have to shut it down!”
Spot sneered, his body distorting as he stepped closer to the pulsating dark matter beam. “You can’t stop what’s already in motion, Spider-kids. This is my moment!”
Miles’s gaze darted between his friends, battered and struggling, and the beam. A pit formed in his stomach. He knew what had to be done.
“No,” he muttered. “Not today.”
Before anyone could stop him, Miles fired a web at the Spot and yanked himself forward with a burst of venom energy coursing through his arms. Tackling the villain into the beam, the world erupted in a blinding explosion of energy.
“MILES!” Gwen’s scream echoed as the blast consumed them both.
Piltover, Progress Day
The Hexgate hummed with arcane energy as crowds of Piltover’s finest gathered to celebrate the city’s technological marvels. Jayce and Viktor stood on the grand stage, presenting their latest breakthrough.
But the cheers and applause were cut short as the Hexgate sputtered violently. A swirling, multicolored portal erupted from its center, spitting out a figure wrapped in a cocoon of glowing webbing. Miles crashed onto the cobblestone street, groaning as the crowd backed away in shock.
“What in Runeterra is that?!” a voice cried out.
Miles staggered to his feet, his suit smoldering but intact. He looked around, disoriented. “Where...am I?”
Before he could get his bearings, a squad of Piltover Enforcers arrived, led by none other than Caitlyn Kiramman. “Step away from the device!” she ordered, her rifle trained on him.
Miles raised his hands, instinctively shooting a web to swing away—but nothing happened. He blinked, confused, as he felt the usual tingle of his powers replaced by a strange, grounding sensation.
“Not good,” he muttered.
The Enforcers moved to surround him, but Miles’s reflexes kicked in. He leaped over their heads, landing on a nearby building. The crowd gasped at the display of agility.
“Get him!” Caitlyn barked.
Miles didn’t wait for an invitation. He sprinted across the rooftops, weaving through Piltover’s maze of golden towers and smokestacks.
The Undercity
Meanwhile, word of the strange intruder spread quickly to Zaun’s Chembarons. Silco, nursing a glass of shimmer-laced drink, listened as his informant relayed the news.
“A man in a strange suit. Moves like a spider, they say. Piltover’s Enforcers are after him, but he slipped through their fingers.”
Silco’s eye narrowed. “Interesting. If he’s powerful enough to evade Piltover, he might be useful to us...or dangerous.”
“Should we send someone after him?” the informant asked.
Silco smirked. “Oh, I’m sure he’ll find his way to us eventually. Everyone does.”
Miles’s Struggle
As days passed, Miles navigated the unfamiliar world of Piltover and Zaun, searching for a way home. The advanced technology and arcane magic baffled him, but he adapted quickly.
In Piltover, he found himself hunted by Enforcers who labeled him a threat to public safety. In Zaun, he was viewed as either a potential ally or a nuisance to be eliminated.
Despite the dangers, Miles couldn’t turn his back on the people caught in the middle. He saved a group of Zaunite children from a collapsing building, earning their trust but drawing the ire of the Chembarons.
Gwen’s voice echoed in his memory: “Miles, you always find a way to help people. That’s who you are.”
One night, cornered by a group of shimmer-enhanced thugs, Miles discovered something new. His venom energy interacted strangely with Runeterra’s magic, creating a surge of power that knocked his attackers unconscious.
“Okay,” he muttered, catching his breath. “That’s new.”
A Meeting of Worlds
As tensions rose between Piltover and Zaun, Miles found himself at the center of their conflict. Jayce, intrigued by his abilities, sought to capture him for study, believing his powers could revolutionize Hextech.
Silco, however, saw Miles as a threat to his plans. He sent Sevika and other enforcers after him, determined to either control or eliminate the Spider-Man.
But Miles wasn’t alone. Amid the chaos, he found unexpected allies in Caitlyn, who questioned Piltover’s methods, and Vi, a hardened fighter with her own score to settle.
Together, they uncovered a conspiracy threatening both cities. Miles’s resolve grew stronger. He couldn’t just leave Runeterra in turmoil—not when he could make a difference.
“Home can wait,” he told himself, webbing up his makeshift mask. “This city needs a Spider-Man.”
And so, amidst the clash of magic, technology, and rebellion, Miles Morales spun a new web of hope in a world far from his own.
