Summary
A collection of short stories that take place in my OCs universe. Tagged as Supernatural and Riordanverse because it is heavily inspired by those works, and I wanted to give credit where credit is dueSamael, the Angel of Death, has a grudge against her father. Working with her human avatar she attempts to end his reign. Throughout her war, her children are working through their own issues.A majority of these aren’t 100% canon, as the story has grown in my mind since I began this project

Whiskey on the Rocks

Roesael sat in the living room of a stranger's house. The room shook with the bounce of her leg as she waited for her brother to arrive. The two had been seperated for 700 years after his namesake had cut her throat, leaving him to cling to her as she bled out.

She was resurrected, and scoured the Earth for him for centuries after awakening. But the Azurians have always been good at hiding in the shadows, as they had always been hunted. If one didn't want to be found, they wouldn't be.

She learned from the stranger, the one named Naomi, that her brother had attempted to kill himself atop her body. With the same knife and the same cut. Their mother tried to pry him off of her, but he wouldn't budge. They bled out together.

Their mother had clearly known someone was after them, for it was her plan that had ressurected them. The genderfluid angel, then known as Azrael, now known as Samael had not told them of the plan she had made. The twins thought eachother dead for seven centuries.

Naomi had apparently adooted her brother, Ambriel, who was disguised as a small child, and their younger sister Claudia, whom he was there to protect. Naomi did not know Ambriel was immortal, she took them in because she knew one of Claudia's parents.

Claudia was the only of the Evengelor family to be born human, due to the odd circumstances of her birth. She had five biological parents, only one of which was human. She should have been born immortal, the power of the four immortal bloodlines she had should have burnt right through her human part, but another factor stopped it.

Claudia's birth was prophesied. A girl with a connection to blood was to be born, named Camael. She was to be the youngest of Samael's children. Her birth would begin the downfall of God and Heaven's reign.

Yahweh became paranoid. He bottled up the essence of Blood Gods into a clay jar, and locked it in a tomb that's location was unknown. If the essence were free, it would have come to Claudia when she were born, making her Camael and giving her the title of the fourth and final Blood God.

Samael had found Claudia as an infant, her human mother had put her up for adoption. Samael took her in, taught her the ways of the Azurian even though they were outlawed. She told Claudia what she was meant to be, what the prophecy was and what her destiny was. Claudia grew well, into a strong child who could fight proficiently. But she was still mortal, she saw that every where she turned.

She developed the schedule of her immortal mother and brother, who left during the night to hunt. She couldn't do the magic they tried to teach her, no matter how simple. She felt less than them, she felt inferior.

Those feelings festered and grew, leaving her an angry mess of resentment. But most of all she hated Roesael. The sister that was dead, the one that wasn't even there. Ambriel would often compare their eyes, they both had heterocromia. One blue eye and one gold eye. Claudia hated it. Ambriel used her as a replacement for Roesael, he suffocated her in protection to make sure she didn't meet the same fate. He spoke of Roesael often, always teary-eyed and upset, and each time Claudia would get more upset.

Then the day came when Samael dissappeared without a trace. Naomi said the day it happened, Samael had come to her. Naomi didn't know Samael had children, Samael never told her. She simply left her with a locket and did not speak once. Naomi didn't see her again, and she never got anymore jobs given to her from Samael. She continued her work quietly though, hoping that one day she would hear from Samael again.

Samael had done advanced protection spells over the house she, Ambriel, and Claudia lived in. Spells so advanced that not even Ambriel knew how to do them. They had to be remade once a month. When Samael dissappeared, Ambriel and Claudia were left behind in that house. They stayed until the protections failed, and when the creatures started to come they fled.

The gods of all different pantheons had created small sanctuaries around every country for pagans or demigods of each particular mythology. The pantheons outlawed interacting with other pantheons gods or believers due to the amount of wars between them, so the sanctuaries were hidden from the other pantheons and the attendants weren't aware they existed.

Ambriel and Claudia knew though. Ambriel was around before the ban on interactions between pantheons and had taught Claudia about it. When they left their house, they had been intending to go to a sanctuary. Claudia was ten at the time, and Ambriel disguised himself as an eight-year-old named Aelius.

They were on the streets for a year before they coincidentally ended up in the same city as Naomi. She did not know that they were Samael's children, they did not know she was Samael's avatar. Despite her hesitance to let the children be near her, she eventually gave them a home with her. Her empathy for them and guilt about Claudia's mother was enough. Often times they didn't see her, as she kept as far away from them as possible.

The two of them stayed another year with her, but the creatures eventually found their way to them again. They convinced Naomi to take them to the nearest sanctuary, they said she had to travel anyways for her career so she might as well leave them somewhere safe.

They stayed there until Claudia's 20th birthday, when for some unknown reason the jar holding the Blood God essence shattered. That's how Naomi learned the truth, when Ambriel sat her down and explained why Claudia was suddenly immortal.

Roesael sat, waiting for him. As the war with Yahweh, started by Camael's appearance, worsened it caused Samael's decision to reunite the Azurians who had long thought they were the last of their kind. Her first stop was to Roesael, where she told her that her brother was alive and where to find him. She introduced her to Naomi, and left Naomi to explain the rest.

Roesael was left in a room, much smaller than she expected from a famous musician, as Naomi went and fetched Ambriel. Naomi was instructed not to tell him a thing, just to get him in the house.

"Would you like a drink?" Roesael heard Naomi say when they entered the house.

"No, thanks though," Ambriel said. One can't describe the flood or relief Roesael felt when she heard his voice, all the tension was released from her body. She had been worried this was a sick dream, that he was dead and she was just tearing open old wounds. But the ring of his voice left no doubt in her mind. He was real, he was alive.

"Are you sure? You might need one. A strong one," replied Naomi.

   "... Sure."

Roesael heard the clink of glass, the slosh of liquid, and the sound of footsteps towards the room she was in. She sat, rigid, and stared straight ahead at the blank wall in front of her. The shatter of glass hitting the floor was the way she knew he had entered.

"Well fuck, you didn't even take a sip," said Naomi.
