Chapter 2.

Still annoyed about the fall down the stairs, Carol got out onto the street and looked around at where she could find what Therese wanted.

'We should be fucking right now.' That was all Carol could think about saying.

Night time in the 1950's in these areas was normally quiet. Very few people around and no where really open. She took off running down the street in the direction of the corner shop. She hadn't been running in a long time and didn't exactly like it but she guessed she was doing it for love.

Reaching the corner, Carol was annoyed to see the shop was closed but still the window check out was open, where people would order through the window and the staff member would give it to them without the customer entering the shop. Carol just joined the queue and hoped she could get the Wine and get back home. Shopping this late at night definitely wasn't what Carol liked.

The two customers in front of her quickly got served and then Carol stepped up to the window. The staff member was female.

'Yes ma'am.'

'Can I get a bottle of chilled White Wine please?.' Carol already had her purse out and was pulling out a 20. The clerk left the window to get it and Carol waited patiently for her to return. It was chilly.

The clerk returned. 'Im sorry but we're all out.' Carol's heart sank. 'Do you have more in stock?.'

'Yes but their in the storeroom and I can't leave the store until morning.' Carol started to panic.

'But this is an emergency.' The clerk paid attention.

'Really? 'What kind of emergency?.' As if emergencies required alcohol.

Carol made sure she understood. 'I have a beautiful woman waiting for me at home and she needs her Wine before we can do our thing.' Does that sound understandable to you?.'

The clerk wasn't too moved.

'Well I still can't leave the store but I'd advise you to fuck her without her being drunk. 'She'll only puke all over you otherwise.

Carol had heard enough. 'Well fuck you very much. She took off again and knowing she couldn't go back without the Wine, started looking for other options.

............................................................................................

Five minutes later and Carol was still running up and down streets looking for anywhere that could be selling booze. She was grumpy and tired, not to mention her feet were killing her.

Suddenly she saw a store that was open and like her life depended on it, ran towards the door. 'Please, please.' She begged.

Getting inside she found it to be a big spacy store with shelfs of almost everything that someone needed. She ran slowly up to the counter and to the left of it stood a shelf with loads of Wine.

White and Red. Carol couldn't help it.

'I'M HAVING SEX TONIGHT.' The clerk who was a man gave her a confused look and Carol quickly realized she may have embarrassed herself. She reached into her pocket for her purse and prepares to pick up a bottle.

'OPEN THE FUCKING REGISTER.' That was what he strange voice said and Carol turned around to see two young guys welding baseball bats running towards her. The clerk immediately ducked down as one of them jumped over the counter and instantly Carol went to stand in front of the Wine shelf, like she was defending it.

'I SAID OPEN IT.' The first guy grabbing the clerk around the neck and threatening him with the bat.

'THIS IS MY STORE SO GET MONEY FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE.' The guy didn't like that response.

'He's getting tough with us, let's redecorate for him shall we?.' The second guy nodded and started to trash the shelf's and Carol was doing all she could to defend the Wine shelf. The guy destroyed three shelf's and turned around to just then notice the Wine shelf and he made for it.

'NOOOOOOOOOOOOO.' Carol yelled as the fella wacked the daylights out of the shelf and every bottle ended up broken and smashed to pieces. The clerk grabbed the bat from the first guy and hit him with it before the two intruders turned and ran out the door, with the clerk running after them. All Carol could do though was stare at the failed attempt to bring this very annoying caper to an end.

Slowly she started to leave only for the clerk to come back in.

'They got away.' Carol didn't care one bit.

She was almost at the door when he stopped her.

'Hey you can't leave. 'I have to call the Police and your a witness. 'You need to stay here.' Carol could punch the wall right now.'

This was all Therese's fault.
