Accidents

Aurora saw his brother crouching down over something, he walked closer, his eye catching a glimpse of blood underneath Atlas, he gently placed the babies down by his feet and slowly walking over to him, placing his palm on his brothers shoulders before his eye caught what he had been crouched over, there, in front of Aurora, was his sister, who was laid against a wall, blood dried on her face, but her eyes, her blue eyes, the eyes her brother loved oh so much, now were missing, leaving a gaping wound that seemed to stop bleeding, but the image of what happened alone made Aurora sick to his stomach.

He looked around, before something clicked in his mind, the blood from his sister was dried and dark, but the blood he had seen earlier was raw and red, he looked around, before his eyes landed on a life-less body, laying in a sleeping position, intentional, he thought, as he scanned the body, a large bite mark wound was on his shoulder, blood oozing out from it, identical to the blood Atlas was occupying.

Atlas must have seen the boy, standing there, with his sister’s eyes and jumped up, his jaw already breaking and growing into a muzzle and long sharp teeth replacing his more human like mouth, and must have taken a bite out of the man, before positioning him to appear sleeping, and going back to his sister. Is what Aurora thought, and was correct, apart from the man holding Azaliah’s eyes, instead, apparently, he was boasting about the eyes and Atlas snapped, close enough, Aurora said to himself.

Atlas turned to the babies that started to fuss, before looking up at his brother, his eyebrow raising, Aurora shut him down with a shake of his head, saying he’d explain later, and focusing back on his sister, the babies now in his hands, well, one was, the other was being held by Atlas, who cooed at the baby with a smile.
