Percy was done with college and everything. Finally after years of work and having his boyfriend help him he managed to pass. Now said boyfriend is Apollo but he wanted to help and Percy couldn’t agree with him. Now all he need to do was fine a job.
Percy looked into job opportunities. He would have maybe taken a Stark Industries job Annabeth suggested to him but monsters would just be attracted more to him. The reason less monsters where attacking him now was because of Apollo and as much as Percy loved his boyfriend he can’t be by Percy 24/7 for monsters so Stark Industries are just a no-go.

So here he was now in his apartment. Poseidon insisted on getting him a nicer one and a nicer place but Percy wanted to do it for himself. He appreciates his dad and Triton but just like his mom he wanted to live life. So the best place they could all agree on was this apartment in New York. It wasn’t crazy expensive and Percy was using Poseidon's card don’t ask him how his dad had one he just did but never use it because he doesn’t go on the surface much. So here he was in his nice medium apartment.
“I have an idea!” Apollo said as the sun god came into the door.
“What now?” Percy asked with a raised eyebrow.
“Well I’ve been looking around. Some of my old kids who left camp and I saw what they were up to and I found one who has a job I think you would like!” Apollo said brightly.
“Is it in New York?” Percy asked, looking at his boyfriend.
“Of course that’s what I was trying to find!” Apollo exclaimed. “Even had Arty help but she said she didn’t know if any since she just hangs out with her hunters!”
“Lady Artemis doesn’t have a reason to, Sunshine!” Percy said. “Just like Thalia.”
“Yeah I know!” Apollo said. “I also checked one last time at New Rome for any resources and they said the same thing. They were a bit surprised to see me!”
“New Rome doesn’t get gods as much as we do.” Percy said remembering his and Hazel’s talk that felt like forever ago. “You and Hermes basically live at camp!”
“So does Mr D!” Apollo pointed out as he leaned over to see what Percy was looking at.
“He’s a camp counselor.” Percy said not taking his eyes off the computer Hermes gave him. “Zeus Punishment, remember!”
“Better then being turned mortal.” Apollo said as Percy glared at him. “Well until we got together!”
“Good because I would have smacked you with this paper sun god or not.” Percy said with a smirk as Apollo huffed.
“Be glad I love you Seashell!” Apollo said. “Anyone else besides you and my kids I would have smited.”
“No you wouldn’t.” Percy said. “The only one you would try to do it to is Annabeth and where just best friends you know that.”
Apollo gave him a kiss and Percy blushed. “Can never be too careful with you dear!”
“Well you don’t have to worry.” Percy said. He paused for a moment. “Triton doesn’t like that we are dating. Dad thinks you can get me to ascend so even if he doesn’t like it he accepts it. I’m pretty sure no gods or demigods would try to flirt with me just because of my dad.”
“You never know with Aphrodite.” Apollo said. “I think she’s still a little upset that you and Annabeth broke up. Ares told me that.”
“When was this?” Percy looked at him demanding an answer.
“Last council session.” Apollo said. “Your dad told Aphrodite to not mess with you.”
“Now what was it you wanted to say?” Percy asked with curiosity.
“Well I got into contact with one of my sons, Clint Barton. Do you know of him?” Apollo asked.
“Annabeth mentioned him before.” Percy said.
“Well he said he has this job offered.” Apollo said though he was unsure if Percy would want to do it. His seashell was already hestainted that he bloodbend Akhlys in Tartarus because of Athena’s girl. Clint promised him he would protect Percy though. “He works with Shield.”
“Shield never heard of that.” Percy said.
Apollo nodded. “That’s what they want.. Shield employs people to investigate strange operations. You basically work to protect others from around the globe. Especially Hydra.”
“So like quests, 2nd titan war and the giants?” Percy mumbled as he leaned on Apollo's chest.
“Sort of.” Apollo said as he held Perseus' hands. “It’s just you can kill people just like you can protect them. I know you're still not over Tartarus.”
“And for good reason.” Percy said. “I scared Annabeth, Apollo.”
“She should know you were protecting yourself. Both I and your dad agree with that.” Apollo said, looking at Percy’s green sea eyes. “You two were both in Tartarus. A place for monsters not for Demigods. You needed to do what you could for survive. You still aren’t at your full potential you know.”
“Because I don’t want to ascend.” Percy said as tears came out of his eyes. Apollo grabbed a tissue to wipe it away.
“As I was saying, however, it could be a great fit for you. If you know the risks. You could help others which you like. You already have experience. Clint can vouch for you.” Apollo said he did not want to argue about immortality with Percy again. That was the only thing they didn't agree on.
“When can we meet him?” Percy said as Apollo looked at him. “Clint.”
“Tomorrow.” Apollo supplied.
Percy snuggled up to his boyfriend. “Thanks sunshine.”
“Anytime Seashell.”
Meeting Clint Barton was interesting, Percy decided. They meet him at his house with his wife Laura. Apollo smiled when he saw his son.
“Clint! It's been so long! How are you? How is your Band!”
“Dad, for the last time it’s not a band.” Clint said. “It’s the Avengers!”
“Same thing!” Apollo said.
“Apollo, that is not the same thing.” Percy said.
“How do you know.”
“I live in New York!”
“So you were there when Loki attacked?” Clint asked him. Percy knew that Clint knew him and Apollo were darting. Might be weird knowing someone’s dating your dad like with Will but it could be worse. Hera and Zeus are siblings. Welcome to Mythology.
“No.” Apollo said. “He was at camp!”
“Camp Half Blood?" Clint smiled. “I miss that place.”
“Must be interesting.” Laura said. “We wonder if at some point Lilla and Cooper should go.”
“Hey where are my grandkids?” Apollo asked Clint. “I want to spoil them. I got gifts.”
“There safe right Dad.” Clint asked Apollo who smiled. “I know what you gave Will.”
“What he gave Will.” Percy asked with amusement.
“Some explosives.” Clint said. “Because Hermes kids prank our cabin.”
“Any chance to give Hermes a taste of my medicine is a good one.” Apollo said. “Besides, I haven't given him one since you banned me from giving you guys them.”
“Go see the kids there outside.” Clint said. “Lila is working on her archery. She’s thinking about the Hunt. She would like tips from a pro. I’ll talk with your boyfriend here.”
“Sure I leave my family to bully me.” Apollo said as he went away. “Not like Arty doesn’t do that all the time with her arrows.”
When Apollo left to go outside it was quieter, Percy noticed. He got a look around Laura and Clint’s house. It was nothing like his own apartment.
“We live here because of Clint’s job.” Laura explained. “Not even the Avengers knew we lived here till recently.”
“Oh.” Percy said. He almost forgot about Clint being Hawkeye. He was just acting like a normal dude.
“Do you want water?” Laura asked Percy’s
“Sure if that’s ok.” Percy said as Laura smiled.
“Any family of Clint’s is welcome here.”
“Percy, my dad has told me great things about you.” Clint said as he set down and Percy followed suit. “Tartarus is a place I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemies unless you're a monster of course.”
“Of course.” Percy said slowly. He did not want to think about Tartarus right now thank you very much.
“Are you aware of the risks of a shield agent?” Clint asked softly as he put his hand on Percy’s.
Percy looked up and smiled remembering his and Apollo's conversation. “Your dad already told me.”
“Ok good.” Clint said as he took a deep breath. “There’s no going back on this. Especially if you have to do the stuff I do.”
“I survived Tartarus.” Percy said slowly. “I think I can be up for this.”
Clint grinned as he offered his hand. “May I?”
Percy looked at him. Clint shrugged.
“You flinch a little when I put my hand on you. I want your permission.” He said.
Percy appreciates that. He’s only fine with Apollo, his mom, and Amphitrite touching him. Sometimes his dad when he’s in a goofy mood and acts like a retired fisherman.
“Thanks. It’s just after everything.” Percy said slowly as he shook Clint’s hand.
“I understand.” Clint said with a smile as he ruffled Percy’s hair.
Soon they heard the door open and a young girl came out with a smile like the best thing ever happened. Archery Practice with the sun god doesn’t happen every day after all.
“Daddy! Grandpa said that Lady Artemis would like my skills.” Lilla said with a proud smile as Laura asked.
“Where are your brothers?” Laura asked with a smile.
“Daddy’s showing them some music.” Lilla said. “Especially Hamilton. Apparently it’s Hermes!”
Clint coughed on his drink and he looked at Percy confused who laughed.
“It’s a long story.” Percy said with a smile.
Clint smiled and nodded. “Oh and Percy I”ll get in contact with Furry right away. He's going to have a blast!”
Apollo came over and Hugged him and Percy was just glad to be around people who cared. Even Clint and Laura, while Percy had a feeling they would spend more time with each other over the following years.
