a stupid idea in a stupid world.
Welcome to Mimics and Conquests, an epic adventure where reality is shaped by dreams and desires, well that's the theory. In this universe, mystical creatures called mimics have the ability to transform into any being from fiction or mythology.
Inspired by classics like Digimon and game mechanics like Mugen and One Piece Pirate Warriors 4, Mimics and Conquests invites you to create your own adventure. Whether you're a fan of epic crossovers or a lover of fantasy stories, here you can use your favorite characters or create your own OCs.

But what makes mimics so special?
When transforming, a mimic acquires the characteristics and abilities of its chosen form (usually a fictional character or mythological being), but this change is irreversible. Once a mimic finds its ideal form, it can no longer return to its original form. However, they can transform into a chibi version and a totem form of its new form.
A mimic (of any type) can only connect to a human, if the human makes a contract with a mimic or is defeated by another mimic.
The contract usually appears on the mimic's own skin, all it takes is to place a finger and the mimic will consider itself a master... Most of the time.
A mimic will not be as strong as the character it has assumed the form of.
For example, let's use the logic of fighting games.
Kuririn vs Broly, in canon, Kuririn could not win this fight, but if you know how to play with him you can win this fight, precisely because these mimics work almost like the game character systems, but in real life, but not the same as the isekai system.
There are also Onmyōdō cards or support cards, which are like cards that allow you to use extra abilities such as summoning large mimic soldiers or some power of greater strength, it is kind of random.
The Onmyōdō cards emerge from the bodies of the mimics or from the trees where they are born.
And there is a forbidden version of these cards.
Its story, its rules.
Mimics and Conquests is a universe in constant evolution. Feel free to adapt the lore, create new characters, and explore the depths of this world. What kind of adventure will you live? An epic confrontation between powerful mimics? A journey to discover the origin of the mimics? discover the mysteries of Mimes and Conquests.
Ok, I'm going to create a lore with three protagonists in independent stories. One will have Luz Noceda as the main character, another will have Izuku Midoriya (like any story in this style) and the last one will be starred by my attempt at an original character. I'm not sure if I'll be able to do all three chapters, but I'll try my best.
Now, let's get to know the mimes before the rules of this world.
For now, the mimes only have 5 natural variations.
Mimic:
Mimics are small creatures with round, smooth heads, smaller than a 4-year-old child. Their only markings are black spots spread across their bodies and glove-shaped hands. Without a defined face, they express feelings in a unique way. These magical beings usually transform into famous characters or folklore creatures from the region where they live.
A mime is not limited to a humanoid form; some of them can be much more monstrous or metallic, among other aspects.
This is the most common variant.
The chances of a mimic transforming into a Divine being are very small: 0.2%
Note: from here on I will try to write without her help.
Kami-mimo or divine mimic:
A bit larger than the common mimics, the Kami-mimos are a little larger than their cousins, and they seem to wear some kind of tunic as clothing. As their name suggests, divine mimics only take on the forms of gods or divine beings, not caring whether these beings are good or evil.
And of course, they are stronger from the start.
There is a small chance that a divine mimic will transform into a character considered non-divine, they are generally a much stronger version than the common mimic. Some even have extra abilities.
This is a rare variant to find.
Uchū kyō or Star child:
Literally a miniature cosmic horror, they are the rarest among mimics and their main characteristics are to assume the form of an entity of cosmic power. Generally, only 1 in a hundred billion are born each year (but this can be changed depending on who wrote the story).
This type of mimic usually manipulates its masters, and they are the only types in literature to control their own masters.
Interestingly, it was HP Lovecraft who wrote about this type of mimic, and there are rumors that he had a Star Child in his hands.
They are considered a very high-level threat to the world.
Primordial mimic:
This is the original ancestor of the mimic species, a creature considered extinct in modern times.
This type of mimic, unlike the current ones, cannot speak.
Its origin comes from a bio-organic tree whose origin is unknown. Interestingly, its appearance is very similar to the tree from which mimics are born.
The DNA of this ancestor was used in basic projects for the creation of artificial mimics.
(The original name of the tree can be changed to adapt to your story).
The name of the tree is: Sanguinis arbor or Blood mother.
This tree with the seed from which the mimes are born.
Soldier mimes Mimic or unit Mimic:
Usually summoned on the battlefield, soldier mimics appear naturally when a mimic assumes a form.
But you can also get this type of mimic by buying it in stores in some parts of the world.
Depending on the size of the being that the soldier mimics transform into, fewer units will go to the battlefield. But generally the small units, which come in larger numbers, appear almost automatically when they come to help, except in battles in individual tournaments.
This is not a mimic, but I have to mention:
What you are seeing is a master of a mimic transformed into its light form, which is called the observer or command eye. They say it is the projection of its mind.
It is a transformation that can only be used when a mime is chosen as a leader. The command eye is on the shoulder of the leader mimic, and can move to the other mimes to give more direct orders in battles.
And if the leader mimic dies with the command eye connected to him, his Master will also die (this does, in a way, have to do with the rules of this universe where these creatures inhabit).
The rules:
If you are a master of mimics, you must swear loyalty to your country of origin (optional).
It is forbidden to use soldier mimes in 1 vs 1 tournaments (mandatory).
Fighting to the death is forbidden; it is only accepted in self-defense or in a hypothetical war (optional).
It is forbidden to cause a civil war (optional).
It is forbidden to have a romantic relationship with your mimic (there is a lore behind this).
Onmyōdō cards are not allowed in individual battles (Optional).
In a battle to conquer territory, you can only use 6 mimics, 12 if you go with a friend (Almost mandatory).
Mimics can have children bet
ween them (Optional).
