“Fuck.” That was the first word out of your mouth upon waking since you realized that your period had magically shown up, three days late, overnight. You headed into your bathroom, which you thankfully had all to yourself living in Stark Tower, and got changed before filling up your sink and throwing your clothes in there for a few minutes. You changed into your biggest, comfiest hoodie and a pair of leggings. “FRIDAY, would you tell Mr. Stark I’m not coming in today?”
“Of course, Miss L/N, what should I tell him?”
“Just tell him that I’m not feeling well.” You replied, opening the cupboard you kept medicine in, searching for the Midol. “And FRIDAY?”
“Yes, Miss L/N?”
“Would you please ask Wanda if she has any Midol I can use? And add it to my grocery list please.” You got a ping on your phone alerting you to the addition and Wanda was at your door not 2 minutes after.
“Y/N? Can I come in, sweetheart?”
“Let her in, please, Fri.” The door clicked and Wanda rushed into your bedroom, coming to your side instantly.
“Oh rahat, the sheets too.”
“I was gonna take them down to the laundry room in a few minutes, I just hadn’t realized I was out of Midol.”
“It happens. I’ll send Piet out to get it for you. What do you wanna do today?”
“Curl up in bed and die?”
“You’re not doing that.”
“..Movie on the couch then?”
“With chocolate?”
“Lots of chocolate.”
Two hours later, you, Wanda, and Pietro had gotten the stain out of your sheets and clothes, remade your bed, and were watching Y/F/M when Tony walked in. “FRIDAY said you weren’t feeling well.”
“I’m not feeling well.”
“You’re laughing, and you look fine, so you’re not sick.”
“You don’t have to look sick or be sick to just generally feel unwell, Tony.” Wanda chimed in.
“Then what’s wrong with her?” Tony wasn’t being particularly mean, just obliviously insensitive, and as your emotions were in overdrive, you started softly crying.
“Hey, princessa,” Pietro said as he rushed to your side. “What’s wrong?”
You shrugged and cuddled further into his chest, still sniffling.
“Okay, hey, princessa, it’s okay not to know.” He lifted you onto his lap.
“N- no, Piet, I don’t wanna-”
“You aren’t gonna hurt me.”
“No, I don’t wanna get blood on your clothes, just in case.”
Pietro chuckled and kissed your forehead. “That won’t happen. And if it does, you or Wanda will just get it out. I saw your bedsheets this morning, and I helped you put them back on. It’s a miracle.” Tony’s eyes widened as he watched you and Pietro interact.
“Oh.”
“Yeah, oh.” Wanda replied. “For a self-proclaimed genius, you’re pretty stupid sometimes, you know that, Stark?”
“Are they-”
“I’m not dating Piet.” You spoke up. “I honestly see him as more of a brother.”
“Oof, princessa.”
You kissed his cheek. “You knew that already, frate.”
Wanda started laughing. “Besides, she has eyes for someone else anyways.”
You sputtered, “That’s not true!”
“Yes it is! You have a crush on-” You covered her mouth with your hand just as everyone else walked in.
“Ooh, who does Y/N have a crush on?” Peter asked, running into the room.
“Nobody, do your homework.” You told him, glaring at Wanda as you uncovered her mouth.
“It’s-” You slapped your hand back over her mouth again.
“Why I tell you anything, sora, I will never know.”
“You don’t have to tell her, Y/N, she just reads your mind.” Pietro pointed out.
“Okay then, feelings suck, I’m going back to bed.” You stood up and grabbed the pillow you were hugging to your torso as you were watching the movie.
“Wait,” Bucky called. “You didn’t finish your movie.”
“I’ve seen it a billion times, I’ll watch it a billion more, don’t worry.” All of a sudden, you were sitting back on the couch, and everyone else was sitting down too. “Piet.”
“Yes, princessa?” He smiled widely.
“I can’t stay mad at you, dork.” You sighed.
Peter was sitting on the floor next to the coffee table, hugging his bag as if he were scared someone would take it from him. “So who do you have a crush on, Y/N? I already know it’s not Pietro.”
“What did you tell the kid?” You turned to Wanda.
“I didn’t tell him anything.” Wanda said.
“Alright, fine. Spidey, use your wonderful Peter tingle, and tell me who I’m crushing on then.”
“Okay! So it’s not Pietro, since you hang out with him all the time and you’ve mentioned like a million times that you see him like a brother.” You nodded and he continued. “It’s not me, because that would be weird for both of us. And you’re kind of like my big sister anyways.” You nodded in agreement as he kept talking. “Since Mr. Stark and Dr. Banner are the “Science Bros”, we’re all kind of the “Science Family”, plus they’re both your bosses and that would be weird too.”
“Continue your deductions, Sherlock.” You actually wanted to see if he would be able to figure it out.
“Well, I hope it’s not Mr. Barton since he’s married with kids. I’m not entirely sure what your sexuality is, but we can probably rule out all the women in the Tower.”
You groaned softly, “Not a conversation for today, but make the assumption, yes.”
“Mr. Thor is never here because he’s kind of King of Asgard, and I don’t think you’ve met Mr. Loki yet, so it can’t be either of them.” You nodded again. “And since you also haven’t met the Guardians of the Galaxy or Mr. Lang, you can’t be crushing on any of them.” It felt like you hadn’t stopped nodding since poor Peter started talking.
“So all that leaves-” Peter was cut off by Pietro.
“-Is the Cap trio.” You gave Peter a look that told him you were proud of him but he just totally screwed you over.
“Who’s the trio?” Sam asked.
“You, Steve, and Bucky.” Wanda replied.
You stood up and dragged Peter out of the room with you. “You had better leave us alone so Peter can work! And he was in the military.” Everyone erupted into an argument over which of the three it could be since all of them served in the military.
“I’m sorry.”
“You’re not apologizing for anything, you little genius. Now, Clint, get out of my vents, and Tony get your suit out of here.” Clint jumped down through the vent in your ceiling, sighing as he left and one of Tony’s suits flew out of your closet. “Shitheads.” You mumbled.
“Are you gonna tell me?” He asked, sitting down at your desk.
“Hold on.” You pulled a chair up next to him and opened your laptop. After a moment of silence, you heard footsteps walk away from your door. But as soon as that happened, Sam, Bucky, and Steve walked in. “Do we not knock anymore? What is it, the 40s?” Steve and Bucky both looked offended at your statement.
“We knocked back then.” Steve defended them.
“Oh, so you just don’t have manners now?”
“We’re sorry for barging in.” Sam jumped in before things escalated further. “But we really need to know.”
“I think I know.” Peter said before mumbling in your ear. “Buck?” You hummed in agreement.
“Wait, he really knows?” Steve asked.
“He’s a genius, I’m not gonna tell him he’s wrong.”
“So if we heard what he said, we would know too?” Bucky asked.
“..I guess..” Bucky gave Peter his resting murder face.
“I’m not telling you, Mr. Bucky, sir.” You nudged him and he turned back to his chemistry homework.
“Triple bond there.”
“I always forget that one.”
“I always did too.”
Steve cleared his throat. “Are you gonna tell us?”
“Will you leave if I do?”
“Absolutely.” Sam added.
“I.. maybe, kind of.. have an itty bitty, teensy tiny crush on-”
“Oh my God, spit it out.” Peter told you.
“-Bucky. And I’m so sorry, and I will get over it, and I’m probably overreacting about everything because I’m on my period, and pretty please leave now so we can work.” You hid your face in your hands while your elbows were resting on your knees so you wouldn’t have to see Bucky’s face. Peter wrapped his arm around you and you hid your face in his shoulder.
“You’re okay. Nothing bad’s gonna happen.” He reassured you, kissing the top of your head.
“Do your homework.” You mumbled, sniffling into his shirt.
Bucky knelt next to your chair and softly grabbed your chin, tiliting it towards him. “Doll, please don’t cry.”
“No, it’s alright. You don’t feel that way about me because my crush on you is stupid, and that’s fine. Don’t worry about-” You were cut off as Bucky pressed his lips to yours.
“You have got to stop talking so much, sweetheart.” Bucky said, pressing his forehead to yours.
“If you shut me up like that every time, I might talk more than ever.” Bucky chuckled.
“Tony, you owe me $20!” Sam exclaimed, running out of your bedroom.
You giggled, “I should’ve known there was a bet. What would’ve happened if I liked Steve?’
“Then I woulda shut you up myself, princess.”
“And Sam?”
“He would find a different way to shut you up.”
“Alright, all of you, out. Peter and I have work to do.”
Bucky chuckled and kissed your forehead, “We’ll talk about this later, doll.” Steve smiled at you and shut the door behind the both of them.
As soon as they were gone both you and Peter took a moment to squeal at what happened. Then he started on his homework and you started some paperwork for Tony so you could work on some personal projects.
