Wariness and Fear

The Defenders Join Team Alpha

As Tony worked on rebuilding the Avengers, he received unexpected support from the Defenders team. Jessica Jones, Danny Rand, Luke Cage, Matt Murdock, and Elektra Natchios decided to join forces with Team Alpha, bringing their unique skills and abilities to the table.

Jessica Jones, with her superhuman strength and investigative skills, proved to be an invaluable asset. Danny Rand, the Iron Fist, brought his martial arts expertise and mystical powers. Luke Cage, with his unbreakable skin and immense strength, provided a formidable presence. Matt Murdock, also known as Daredevil, contributed his heightened senses and combat skills. Elektra Natchios, a skilled assassin, added her lethal abilities to the team.

Together, the Defenders and Team Alpha formed a powerful alliance, ready to face any threats that came their way. With their combined strength and determination, they were prepared to protect the world and seek justice for the pain and suffering that had been caused.

As the new team came together, Tony felt a renewed sense of hope and purpose. With the support of his friends and allies, he knew they could face whatever challenges lay ahead and build a better future for everyone.

Shadow of Maximoff and Rogers

Despite the joyous occasion, the shadow of Maximoff and Rogers loomed over the celebration. The news of their escape weighed heavily on everyone's minds, a reminder of the unresolved conflicts and the dangers that still lurked.

Tony and Clint knew that their honeymoon would have to wait. Clint and Tony decided on a weekend in the newly rebuilt Malibu Mansion. It wasn't ideal but they couldn't be complacent. They were determined to track down Rogers and Maximoff and bring them to justice. With the support of their friends and allies, they prepared for the challenges ahead. One day, as they stood on the balcony overlooking the ocean. Tony looked at Clint one day and entwined their fingers "I'm sorry babe, I promise that we will have a proper honeymoon after the red bitch and Captain delusional are caught" Clint huffed a laugh and brought Tony into his arms. "Don't you dare apologise, Tony Stark-Barton. I love this, the private beach, a beautiful mansion, sunshine now show me why they call you Tony "sex-god" Stark and show me why you are a great 'Top" Tony did just that with a seductive smile. Making the most of their time together despite the looming threats.

As the new Avengers team came together, united in their mission, they knew that they could face whatever threats lay ahead. With love, determination, and the strength of their bonds, they were ready to protect the world and seek justice for the pain that had been caused.

e. With the support of their friends and allies, they prepared for the challenges ahead.

Chapter Thirty-Six: A Weekend in Malibu

Clint and Tony decided on a weekend in the newly rebuilt Malibu Mansion. It wasn't ideal, but they couldn't be complacent. They needed to stay vigilant and ready for any threats. The private beach, beautiful mansion, and sunshine provided a brief respite from their ongoing mission.

One day, as they stood on the balcony overlooking the ocean, Tony looked at Clint and entwined their fingers. "I'm sorry, babe. I promise that we will have a proper honeymoon after the red bitch and Captain delusional are caught."

Clint huffed a laugh and brought Tony into his arms. "Don't you dare apologize, Tony Stark-Barton. I love this, the private beach, a beautiful mansion, sunshine. Now show me why they call you Tony 'sex-god' Stark and show me why you are a great 'Top.'"

Tony grinned and did just that, making the most of their time together despite the looming threats.

Chapter Thirty-Seven: Barnes' Redemption

Barnes was determined to do community service in reparation for his crimes as the Winter Soldier. He offered to be Tony's and Clint's security/bodyguard as a way of protecting them from Steve's delusional idea that he would be the team leader again and that Steve would control Tony like a puppet who only made the superior tech and funded the Avengers like he did before.

Barnes was seriously frightened of Wanda, but Doctor Strange had signed the Accords and handed over amulets that could protect people's minds until she was caught. The amulets provided a sense of security, but Barnes knew that the real challenge lay in facing his past and making amends for his actions.

As Barnes took on his new role, he found a sense of purpose and redemption. He was determined to protect Tony and Clint, not just from external threats, but also from the lingering shadows of their past. With the support of his friends and allies, Barnes began to rebuild his life and find a way to move forward

Logan and Laura's Sanctuary

The new Avengers team was growing stronger with each passing day. As they continued to rebuild and prepare for the challenges ahead, they received an unexpected request for sanctuary from Logan and Laura.

Logan, also known as Wolverine, and his daughter Laura, also known as X-23, had been on the run for years, seeking refuge from those who sought to exploit their abilities. They had heard about the new Avengers and hoped that they could find safety and support within the team.

Tony, Clint, and the rest of the Avengers welcomed Logan and Laura with open arms. They understood the struggles and dangers that Logan and Laura had faced, and they were determined to provide them with the protection and support they needed.

Logan, with his adamantium claws and regenerative healing factor, brought a formidable presence to the team. Laura, with her similar abilities and fierce determination, quickly proved herself to be a valuable asset.

As Logan and Laura settled into their new home, they found a sense of belonging and purpose within the Avengers. They were no longer alone in their fight for survival, and they knew that they had found a family that would stand by their side through thick and thin.

Luke Cage and Wolverine's Friendship

Luke Cage and Wolverine quickly became firm friends, watching each other's backs and forming a strong bond. Their shared experiences and mutual respect for each other's abilities created a deep sense of camaraderie.

Laura, with her sharp wit and candid nature, soon began referring to Luke as "Daddy's boyfriend," much to the amusement of the team. The nickname caught on, and the team found it endearing and cute.

Luke and Logan's friendship brought a sense of stability and strength to the team. They were always ready to support each other and their teammates, ensuring that everyone felt safe and protected.

As the Avengers continued to grow and evolve, the bonds of friendship and loyalty within the team became even stronger. With their combined strength and determination, they were ready to face any challenges that came their way and build a better future for everyone.

Strange's Idea

Stephen Strange stepped through the portal to the kitchen in the Compound, his mind racing with a new idea. He had been contemplating the connection between the Mind Stone in Vision's forehead and Wanda's magic. The two seemed to be cohesive, and Strange wondered if Vision could use the Mind Stone to strip away Wanda's powers.

Tony, Clint, and the rest of the team gathered around as Strange explained his theory. "The Mind Stone has the ability to manipulate and control minds. If Vision can harness its power, he might be able to neutralize Wanda's magic and strip her of her abilities."

Vision, who had been listening intently, nodded thoughtfully. "It's a risky proposition, but it's worth exploring. If we can find a way to safely use the Mind Stone, we might be able to stop Wanda and bring her to justice."

The team agreed to work together on the plan, combining their knowledge and resources to develop a strategy. With Strange's expertise in magic and Vision's connection to the Mind Stone, they were determined to find a way to neutralize Wanda's powers and protect the world from her dangerous abilities.

Jessica's Offer

As the team discussed their plan, Jessica Jones put her hat in the ring. "Well, use me as bait," she said, her voice steady and determined. "She can't get into my head after what Kilgrave did. And I discovered I was immune to mind manipulation magic."

Her statement stunned them all into silence. Tony, Clint, and the rest of the team exchanged glances, realizing the potential advantage Jessica's immunity could provide.

Tony nodded, his expression thoughtful. "Jessica, that's a brave offer. If you're willing to do this, it could give us the edge we need to take Wanda down."

Jessica shrugged, her usual tough exterior masking any hint of fear. "I'm in. Let's do this."

With Jessica's offer on the table, the team began to refine their plan. They knew that using Jessica as bait would be risky, but it could be the key to neutralizing Wanda's powers and bringing her to justice.

As they prepared for the challenges ahead, the Avengers knew that they had the strength and determination to face whatever threats came their way. United in their mission, they were ready to protect the world and seek justice for the pain that had been caused.

Loki's Pardon

In the midst of their preparations, the Avengers received unexpected news: Loki had been pardoned. The Asgardian trickster had been granted clemency for his past crimes, thanks to his recent efforts in aiding Thor and the Avengers during the battle against Thanos.

Loki's pardon was met with mixed reactions. Some were wary of his unpredictable nature, while others saw the potential for redemption and the valuable skills he could bring to the team.

Tony, ever the pragmatist, decided to give Loki a chance. "If he's willing to help us, we should at least hear him out. We need all the allies we can get."

Clint, still cautious, nodded in agreement. "But we keep a close eye on him. No tricks, no games."

Loki, ever the charmer, arrived at the compound with a sly grin. "I see my reputation precedes me. Fear not, I am here to assist."

As the team integrated Loki into their plans, they found that his knowledge of magic and cunning strategies could be invaluable in their mission to neutralize Wanda and bring her to justice.

Loki was confronted by Clint Barton-Stark and warned the trickster god that if he ever lays a finger on Tony again. "I will remove your balls and wear them as earrings" Clint said with his shark-like smile. He patted the scowling god on the back and damn near strutted away. Loki smiled "I knew you had it in you, Barton-Stark" he knew back then in 2012 that Clint was crushing on Anthony Stark. So Loki walked to the bar and finally got that drink that Tony had offered him before he had thrown the man from his tower. Loki found Tony fascinating and truthfully Tony was the only person who could have beaten Thanos. As he sipped his drink, Loki couldn't help but admire the resilience and brilliance of the man who had become a central figure in the Avengers. "Boss, something's wrong" Tony connected via his extremis immediately FRIDAY stuttered. She had never stuttered or glitched since her creation after Ultron. Strange and Loki looked at each other, nodded and started bringing all the young children through to the New York sanctum through a portal, Laura Howlet, Clint's nephews and niece Lila Barton Cooper and Nathaniel, Izzy and Hailey Keener. Laura screamed for her daddy. Logan hugged her Logan hugged her tightly, trying to calm her down. Loki threw an illusion over Tony as Wanda blew the doors open to find a stranger sitting in the common room of the tower penthouse. "At last, I get my revenge!" she declared, her eyes blazing with fury.

The illusion held strong, and Wanda was momentarily confused by the sight of the stranger. Tony, hidden by the illusion, watched carefully, ready to act at a moment's notice. The team knew that this confrontation was inevitable, and they were prepared to do whatever it took to protect their loved ones and bring Wanda to justice. Jess walked in the room "Yo, red bitch, pick on someone else with your mind-fuckery" Jessica smirked and this caused Wanda to try and inflict nightmarish visions on the woman. Jess just stood there looking bored "I fucking hate mind-rapists, yo Vis" she whistled and Wanda smiled at Vision as he approached her. "Vision, I'm so happy to see you" Vision looked at Wanda blankly "I, however am not, happy" Vision faked being afraid of her. Steve ran in shouting for Tony "Where's Tony!" he roared "I have to save him and Bucky!" Logan lit his cigar "Hey Bub, you wanna keep it down, and Tony Stark isn't here." Logan said blandly as Rogers looked indignant at a stranger in his "boyfriends" tower. He tried to punch Logan.
The Confrontation

Logan easily dodged Steve's punch, his reflexes honed from years of combat. "Nice try, Captain," he said with a smirk. "But you're not getting past me." He pinned Steve to the floor

Steve's frustration grew, but before he could make another move, Vision stepped forward. "Steve, this isn't the way. We need to resolve this peacefully."

Wanda, still seething with anger, glared at Vision. "You betrayed me, Vision. You were supposed to be on my side."

Vision's expression remained calm. "I am on the side of justice, Wanda. It's time to end this."

As tensions escalated, the rest of the team prepared for the inevitable showdown. They knew that this confrontation would be the turning point in their battle against Wanda and Steve. With their combined strength and determination, they were ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead and protect the world from the dangers that loomed.

The Final Confrontation

Logan's adamantium claws came out as he held Rogers down, and Rogers screamed in agony as the claws went through his shoulders, pinning him in place. "You are all freaks and monsters!" he spat defiantly.

Tony started clapping slowly. "And everything special about you came out of a bottle," Tony quipped, as Clint smirked. Tony knelt down "You can't have it both ways, Rogers"

The room fell silent as the weight of Tony's words sank in. Steve's defiance wavered, and he realized that his actions had led him down a path of destruction and betrayal.

As the team secured Steve and Wanda, they knew that this was the beginning of a long journey towards healing and justice. With their combined strength and determination, they were ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead and protect the world from the dangers that loomed.

The Aftermath

Wanda was catatonic and would likely spend the rest of her life in a mental health secure unit. Steve was still shouting for his precious "Bucky!" Logan and Carol Danvers volunteered to take them to the Raft.

Steve was sentenced to 30 years on the Raft, and it was also ordered that he was to be de-serumed by the UN Accords Tribunal. This dangerous delusional man was a danger to everyone around him.

As Logan and Carol escorted Steve and Wanda to the Raft, the Avengers felt a sense of relief. The immediate threat had been neutralized, but they knew that the road to healing and rebuilding would be long and challenging.

With their combined strength and determination, the Avengers were ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead. United in their mission, they were prepared to protect the world and seek justice for the pain that had been caused.

A New Beginning

Tony slept in Clint's arms that night. He slept for a full 8 hours, even if he sometimes scoured the internet during his sleep. His mental health was getting better every day. Their recruitment for the final showdown against Thanos opened new doors for training young enhanced people. Riri Williams and America Chavez were new additions to the young Avengers in training.

Luke Cage and Logan were now the world's mutant darlings and a favorite household name, much to the delight of Laura, Logan's little spitfire. Charles Xavier signed the accords on behalf of the X-Men. Clint had found a protege called Kate Bishop, and he was training her to be the next Hawkeye.

One morning, as they lay in bed, Tony ran his fingers through Clint's hair. "You okay, babe? What are you thinking about, my sexy nest builder?"

Clint chuckled and snuggled further. "I want to retire. I've noticed lately that everything aches."

Tony smiled softly. "You've earned it, Clint. But let's make sure we finish what we started first. Then we can have all the time in the world to relax and enjoy life."
"I'm also thinking about a surrogate or adoption," Clint said suddenly, feeling really anxious about Tony not agreeing.

Tony looked at Clint, his eyes softening with love and understanding. "Clint, I think that's a wonderful idea. I've always wanted a family, and I can't think of anyone better to raise a child with than you. And Izzy will be so chuffed to get a younger sibling"

Clint's anxiety melted away, replaced by a sense of relief and joy. "Really? You mean it?"

Tony nodded, smiling. "Absolutely. Let's start looking into our options. Whether it's a surrogate or adoption, we'll find the right path for us."

Clint hugged Tony tightly, feeling a renewed sense of hope and excitement for their future. With their love and determination, they knew they could create a beautiful family together.
Clint nodded, feeling a sense of peace and contentment. With Tony by his side and the support of their friends and allies, he knew they could face whatever challenges lay ahead and build a better future for everyone. The planetary defense system was now up and running thanks to Tony's level of genius. He would be warned about any hostile alien invaders as he was connected to the satelites that would fire off an outer-space intergalactic 2 megaton nukes that would obliterate any hostile invading aliens. Thanos would have a fight if he came for the infinity stones. What Tony saw through that portal could only happen if HYDRA ever got the Space Stone, and that was on Asgard with Loki as the guardian.

With the defense system in place, Tony felt a sense of security and readiness. He knew that the Avengers were prepared to face any threats that came their way, and with their combined strength and determination, they were ready to protect the world and seek justice for the pain that had been caused.

A New Beginning

Clint and Tony were running through Central Park when they saw Scott and Sam at the coffee shop opposite Stark Tower with Cassie, Lang's daughter, and Sam Wilson's niece, Kaitlin. Wilson had been heavily manipulated by Wanda to follow the former Captain America, and they decided to make peace with this tiny bit of their past so they could move on.

Tony and Clint approached the coffee shop, their hearts heavy with the memories of the past but hopeful for the future. Scott and Sam looked up, surprised but pleased to see them.

"Hey, guys," Scott greeted them with a smile. "Fancy seeing you here."

Tony nodded, his expression thoughtful. "We were just out for a run. Thought we'd stop by and say hi."

Sam looked a bit nervous but managed a smile. "It's good to see you both. We've been trying to move on from everything that happened."

Clint placed a reassuring hand on Sam's shoulder. "We all have. It's time to let go of the past and focus on the future."

Sam took a deep breath and looked at Tony and Clint. "I owe you both an apology. I didn't even read the Accords because I was such a Captain America fanboy. I just followed Steve without questioning anything."

Scott nodded in agreement. "Same here. We were caught up in the hero worship and didn't think for ourselves. We're really sorry for everything."

Tony's expression softened. "It's okay, guys. We all make mistakes. What's important is that we learn from them and move forward."

Sam continued, "The footage, Wanda, her mind fuckery... it was all so overwhelming. I can't believe how much we were manipulated."

Tony, trying to move on from the painful memories, changed the subject. "So, do you guys still want to be reserve Avengers? We could use your skills and experience." Sam grinned "Yeah, if you teach me how to keep redwing in tip top shape with some engineering lessons"
"We may need a UN person to help us understand the accords. We are both signing"
Tony high-fived them and grinned "Welcome to the cool kids. Oh and Barnes is taking the mantle of Captain America" Sam looked pleased for Barnes "That's really great" Tony and Clint grinned knowing their answer

Scott and Sam exchanged glances and nodded. "Absolutely," Scott said. "We're in."

As they sat down together, the conversation flowed easily, and the weight of their shared history began to lift. They knew that healing would take time, but with each other's support, they could face whatever challenges lay ahead.
