Gravity Falls - Dipper Pines/Mabel Pines

The rain is summer-sun warm despite the clouds blocking out all light, soaking them both to the bone as Mabel tugs him down into a kiss that tastes like caramel popcorn (she’d just gotten her braces out and was catching up on all the sweets she’d missed out on at an alarming rate) and something he can’t quite place. Maybe if Dipper was more poetically-minded, he’d call it the taste of love— but that’s never been the kind of wordplay that springs easily to his tongue.
“Happy birthday,” she breathes upon pulling away, and he’s all too pleased to be echoing it back.
