baby
-Barty's pov-
It is Halloween 1981 and Barty has a feeling something is wrong. He and Evan are on their way to Godric's Hollow, the Dark Lord was on a mission to kill the Potter's baby but Barty had a feeling that things weren't going as planned. He looked Evan who seemed worried.
"Should we go to the Potters?" Evan asked as soon as he noticed Barty staring.
"Lets go" Barty said without hesitating.
They got to the Potters and the front door was open. Barty got his wand out and went in first followed by Evan. He could see someones feet at the top of the stairs. He started going up, and soon realized James was dead. James was the one on top of the stairs. Oh how Regulus loved tis boy. Barty stared at James for a moment until he heard two people crying. A baby and a.. A man? He followed the sound and came to a bedroom. He open the door and saw Severus. Severus fucking Snape. Severus was hugging a body. Lily. Barty realized. Then Barty's head turned to look at a crying baby. He walked to the baby and picked him up. "Hi, you must be Harry" Barty said whit a soft voise. Harry had Lily's eyes, Barty could tell as soon as he saw the baby. He heard Evan come in and asking Severus a ton of questions until he came next to Barty and Harry, and said flatly "He isn't speaking"
*Crack* someone apparated to the yard.
"Come on we got to go" Evan whispered "Leave the baby"
"No. We have to take Harry with us"
"What?!"
"Those might be one of us and they would kill him! He's just a baby, Evan!"
"Alright! Where can we go with a baby that is wanted by Dark Lord?"
"Pandora?" Barty knew he started to sound a bit worried and Evan just nodded. And just before the door opened all three of them had disappeared.
-Evan's pov-
Just couple hours earlier the Dark Lord had gone to the Potters. Evan wasn't sure why but he had a feeling that something was wrong. Evan could feel Bartys eyes on him and he turned to face him. "Should we go to the Potters?" he asked almost immediately. And just as fast Barty replied:
"Lets go"
When they got to the Potters he realized that the front door was open. Barty was first to go in Evan just behind. He looked to the livingroom. Nothing. He followed Barty upstairs, and saw James. James didin't look like him self, he looked confused and angry, and cold...
Evan saw Barty going in the bedroom, so he took a deep breath and went in. There was crying baby, harry. Lily. And Severus Snape? Evan took a step closer to Severus who was hugging Lilys lifeles body. He squated down next to Severus, he looked like a dead man him self. "Severus. What happened here?"
Severus didn't replay not after first question and not after fifth. Evan gave up and walked over to Barty who had the baby on his arms. He looked little happier than he had just moments ago
"He isn't speaking" He told Barty
*Crack*
"Shit" Evan whispered but he was pretty sure no one heard him. "Come on we got to go. Leave the baby"
"No. We have to take Harry with us"
"What?!" Evan was sure Barty had his reasons but now wasn't the time
"Those might be one of us and they would kill him! He's just a baby, Evan!"
"Alright! Where can we go with a baby that is wanted by Dark Lord?" Evan spat
"Pandora?" Evan noticed Barty was starting to sound anxious. So Evan just nodded and they apparated to Lovegoods
-Barty's pov-
As soon as they knew they were safe they walked to the end of the street and in front of Pandora's house. They had made a deal not to apparate directly at the front door in case someone was following. Pandora was living in a pretty house on a hill, peacefully and mostly alone. Just before Evan was about to knock he stopped and took a step back.
"Why did you want to take Harry? Who's going to raise him? Us?!" Evan shot questions at Barty, who had to think for a moment." I just.. When I saw James' body I remembered how much Regulus loved that boy and as soon as I saw Harry I just knew I couldn't leave him no matter what"
"Do you even realize how big danger you are puttin my sister if she lets us in?"
"I do. And I will do everything I can to keep her, Luna and Harry safe"
"You don't even know Harry, but you are willing to give up your life for him, why?"
"Because I knew his parent. And whats more important I know this is what Regulus would have wanted. To his boyfriend's son to have a best life possible"
"But.. Who's going to raise him?"
"Us. Well me at least you don't have to" Barty said a bit worried that Evan would just leave them.
"Well I don't have any idea how to raise a child-" Evan said but Barty cut him off before he could even start. "I don't have any idea how to raise a child either, but we can try together Evan"
"Okay.."
"Okay?"
"Okay"
With that they knocken Pandora's front door. She opened the door looking angry but as soon as she recognized them she broke into a small smile, and when she realized Barty had a baby in his arms she was smiling so wide Barty was sure her cheaks would break. Panda let them in and they put Harry in Luna's cradle, they were both happily a sleep.
