Miles stood in front of the bathroom mirror. He smiled at himself. He was dressed up, not to the nines but he looked nice. Red button up, black pants, matching sneakers. It was a good look. It was prom night but that's not where Miles would be. The rest of the group was meeting him outside school.
Miles waved to Ganke as he left and headed to the front of the school. The others were there waiting for him.
For the hell of it Miles jumped from the top step flinging himself at the group. He heard a teacher make a startled noise from the entrance, other guests stared but the group couldn't care less.
They all caught their friend before he could fall.
"C'mon let's go." Miles said, he grabbed someone's wrist and started leading the group away from his school.
He was holding Pavitr who had grabbed Margo, Margo held onto Hobbie, who was pulling Gwen along.
Miles let go when they made it to their destination. It was his favorite pizza joint. They grabbed the corner booth all talking rapidly. There were multiple conversations with wildly different topics.
When they had finished eating Miles led the group to a quiet section of the subway. It was covered in graffiti, much of which was his. It was the perfect spot because the area didn't get trains. They had to be diverted when the area got to old.
They were sat on the floor or crates around the room.
Miles smiled at his friends as they chatted. He watched the people he had come to be so close with.
Hobbie, he was his own breed of chaos. His outfit reflected that too. He wore a bright blue button up, the sleeves pushed carelessly up to his elbows. He had on red net gloves with holes at the thumb and fingers. He had on black jeans and his regular blue and red boots. His vest was over the dress shirt still covered with all its pins.
Pav was leaning against Hobbie. He was in a blue dress shirt but lighter. Grey pants with bangled wrists that giggled as he gestured wildly.
Miles thought he should be Sunspider with how bright he was. Pav always had something to be happy about. It was a contrast to Hobbie cynicism and to both Margo and Miles being on the reserved side.
Gwen was next to him sitting on her teal leather jacket. She was in a pink knee length pink dress that matched the accent in her suit. She had a white belt and boots. Her outfit looked like her suit turned prom.
She added to the conversation making Pav more passionate about whatever they were talking about.
Then there was Margo, he had clicked with her. They grew close over the need to escape. They both used spider work as a way to get away. Because of that they both had the issue of going too far without realizing.
The other did good at pulling them back from it. Through calm down time shopping with Pav in a chaotic market. Loud attention holding concerts and festivals with Gwen that left you tired. Or even being forced to sleep and relax by Hobbie.
There was always someone there when one of the others needed to be caught.
The group split as it got late. They all walked Miles back towards school, stopping right before so they could all go back to their realities.
Miles got back to him dorm. It was completely dark and he was worn. Not bone tired just depleted from a good time with his friends. He sent the group chat a 'Thanks' and 'Good Night' before promptly falling asleep.
