There was about twenty minutes until English class was over, and thank god it was nearly over because the kids in there were so stupid to the point they belong in kindergarten English. Charles was probably the most educated student in there for all those other 20 high schoolers. Most of these kids can’t read a Dr. Seuss book (it seemed so). The teacher would was so fed up from these kids, she could freely admit that Charles was her favorite student out of that whole class… her sons in that class. Charles constantly looks over at the clock to see how much seconds of this long minute was left. Once the bell rang Charles jolted out the classroom, down the hall of the English room was usually that one couple that would always make out in the MIDDLE of the walkway. Charles rushes to the cafeteria where it was more crowded than halls. There were so many blondes that Charles couldn’t tell which was Raven. Once Charles accidentally grabbed a shoulder of the wrong girl and nearly got into a fight.. never again.
“Charles! Over here!” He hears a shout and turns his head to the direction of the sound, it was hard to hear the yell but it was, somehow, louder than the whole room. Charles makes his way to Raven who was waving her arms up and down in a circling motion. Charles greets her with a smile and sees that she already has both of their plates of foods. “You too so long, it got crowded within seconds. I got your find cause I knew you wouldn’t make it.” Raven remarks as she sets his food on the table. The table was full and there were only two empty seats, for Raven and for Charles. The table was filled with friends of friends and the only people that Charles really knew was Erik, Hank, Emma frost, Jean, Scott, and storm. Charles takes his seat next to Erik, who was already eating his food. “So, how was English, Charles?” Charles averts his eyes from Erik to see if Raven is sitting, which she is now. Charles looks back at Erik with a smile. “It was as irritating as yesterday.” He says before filling his mouth with orange chicken that the school had served. Most said that the food from that school was disgusting but Charles never agreed with it he always thought it was delicious and sometimes he would take someone’s extras.
Across the table there was Logan and Wade, they were talking about sneaking beer into school. Those two were really made for each other.. Erik started talking about his classes and how there was a new girl coming to the class. Charles was somewhat interested, he really hopped the girl would fall into the right hands, they didn’t need another jerk like Shaw… Charles wouldn’t want the girl ending up like Emma, always following shaw’s orders and what not. Just like that, lunch was over and so was the rest of the day.
Charles waits for Raven outside of his car, Raven was walking with Hank outside the school and once she saw Charles she kissed Hank goodbye and made her way towards the car. Charles had opened the passenger door for her as usual, she thanked him and told him that he had SO much stuff that he needed to hear and would be hearing about once he got home. Charles makes his way to the drivers seat and drives the both of them home. Raven told Charles the latest drama that others have had and explained that she didn’t like being apart of drama, but she loved hearing about it. “You shouldn’t stick your nose in trouble, it’ll get you IN trouble.” Charles warns, like he always does but Raven never ever listens, one day, he’s going to look Raven in the eye and tell her ‘I told you so.’ “Yeah, right!” Raven huffs, averting her eyes from her phone to Charles “as if I’d let myself get into trouble!” The lad shrugs and continues driving, if Raven got into any trouble it wouldn’t be his fault.
Once the car stops he grabs his own backpack and opens the drivers seat. Raven was waiting in the passenger seat for Charles to open her door. Raven could fully open the door on her own but Charles had been doing this since they were kids so it was practically muscle memory. Once Raven is out of the car, charles closes the door and follows behind Raven as they make it to the front door of their house. Raven was blabbing about the latest drama and on how Ororo was nearly about to fight someone, along with Jean. Raven went on about her theory that if if Jean did fight, Scott would 100% step in and if Scott stepped in, Logan would as well, and if Logan stepped in, so would wade, and it went on and on…
The house was quiet as usual, their mom was usual out doing business work so Charles and Raven had the house to themselves most of the time. There was plenty of food that their mother provided before she left. The refrigerator was full of food and drinks if they needed any. Charles was scanning through the fridge to find some ingredients for dinner and once he got everything, he started cooking. He keeps his ingredients in one place so he doesn’t lose anything or lose an important ingredient he needed.
