"Do they hurt still?" Wednesday asks, taking Enid by surprise. She tried to figure out what the goth was talking about. Suddenly, Wednesday gets closer to her, with her black ash smell filling up Enid's noise. She has always loved the way her girlfriend smelled. Enid flinches when Wednesday reaches up to touch her scars. Enid tries to hide her face in her golden hair. "Don't do that. Don't act ashamed."
"I can't help it," Enid says, her voice small and beginning to cry. "I feel... I feel... I'm a werewolf but can't even heal from a few scars. I feel like a failure and I feel like they make me look... Ug... Ug..."
Wednesday shushes Enid softly and kisses her girlfriend gently. "Don't ever feel like that. You saved me and defeated a Hyde. You're not a failure. You're my hero."
"Really?" Enid asks, her mood improving a bit.
"Yeah," Wednesday says, smiling. "Besides. I think the scars make you quite attractive, Mon Loup."
"They do. Don't they?"
"Very," Wednesday says, kissing the werewolf again. "Now back to my question. Do they still hurt?"
"Not when I am with you."
