Did it start at the 1st generation? Perhaps, but maybe not.
Nobody knows why this happened, even till this day — the Sages themselves became silent after what had happened every four years.
All we know is that this has to end soon, the cover ups for our ancestors death were not coincidences.
The sages have done a corresponding thing for decades. They are trying to end our bloodline.
Our ancestors death are all painted onto their hands and I’m afraid that you and me are the next ones in line.
I have no idea how I managed to escape such dreadfulness, but once you find this letter.

Tighnari stared at the paper for several minutes — he had many questions circling though his mind.
He didn’t know what was happening and nor did he know what was going on.
His parents hadn’t told him anything about this, after they disappeared when he was 8 years old.
Sage Naphis has been taking care of him after he was founded in the depths of the desert.
“Tighnari? You okay..?”
Candace’s voice snaps him back to reality. He turns around to look at the four. “Yeah….sorry I’m just…shocked”
They nod, understanding that it’s not their business. They didn’t push him to explain unless he wanted to.
He folds back the letter and puts it into his pocket, sitting down for a bit. It’s clear he needed some time to take things in.
“I still don’t understand…but Anis…my ancestor is still alive” Tighnari suddenly cuts the silence.
The three sat down to listen to him. “Take your time youngster” Faruzan says.
He sighs, explaining to the three….or four since Mehrak was there.
“Ah…Tighnari, please be careful now that you know about this information” Kaveh worries about what he mentioned, with him and Anis being the next ones to be killed.
“Yeah I know just- knowing that people want you dead isn’t exactly something I’ve had thoughts about…” This will definitely be on Tighnari’s mind for a while.
“Don’t think too hard about it, just as long as you and Anis are safe” Mehrak beeps happily after what Kaveh just said.
A winding sound starts to make itself know at their left. The huge door was opening.
They all stood up, alerted. Was there a fifth person here with them?
A guy with ragged and semi split clothes entered the room with them. He had some type of mechanical goggles and a pencil that looked like it was created from another nation and was on his ear.
To Tighnari, the guy reminded him of Abattouy.
”Wha- You three! And…a flying mechanical life form..? What are you all doing here?!” He exclaims.
The four lowered their weapons. “We are exploring, we come from Vinara Village” Candace explains. Which was partially true since Vinara was part of Sumeru.
”Exploring? What do you mean exploring? There’s nothing to explore here!” The guy grumble as he tries to shoo them away.
Mehrak beeps with an exclamation on his face as he goes in front of Kaveh to protect him.
“Hm? And who made this fella?” The ragged clothed guy says as he leans in to look at Mehrak closely.
”Actually, I did” Kaveh says. “That’s besides the point, what are you doing here?”
”You see those statues built around here? I made ‘em, been building them ever since I was hired several years ago”
“Wait what?! Hold on, who were you hired by? These are really well sculpted but, why these people..?” Faruzan was interested to have their questions answered.
”Who else? It was King Deshret’s subordinates themselves” The ragged clothed guy walks over to the Cyno statue he had built.
”These people are all ancestors, this one is the newest General Mahamatra right? I know I failed Vahumana but I got my historical story right, correct?”
They all nod. “Okay but..all the other people are dead, why build Cyno when he isn’t?”
He snickers, “To plan him as history beforehand of course, even if he gets downgraded with his role, he’s still done a impact to Sumeru itself, I hardly doubt that any other person can do his job well than he could”
He clears his throat, “I noticed that you kids haven’t said ‘General Mahamatra’ and said ‘Cyno’ instead, ya’ got something against the guy?”
“No no, we don’t, we’re actually his friends, Tighnari here is his boyfriend” They all turn to Tighnari.
“What? No he’s not, Kaveh!” He smacks the back of Kaveh’s head. “I apologize, what I meant was, Tighnari’s ‘to be soon’ boyfriend”
The ragged clothed guy chuckles. “You know, I’m glad you brought the General Mahamatra up, and you-“
He goes up to Tighnari. “Tighnari right? My name is Edo, from your appearance, you’re a Valuka Shuna — am I correct?”
Tighnari was quite shocked but nodded, “yes I am, how did you know..? My species and family were rarely talked about these years…”
”Yeah, the Akademiya had banned all books and history classes, or even history in general about Valuka Shuna’s, so when they look at you, you’ll just be known as a fox who for some reason has ears and a tail” Edo Explains.
”What?! Why?!” Kaveh couldn’t believe this, he hadn’t even learned about Valuka Shuna’s when he was a scholar so it was a shame. Edo shrugs. “Beats me, there’s a lot of things the Akademiya had taken out”
Edo turns back to Tighnari. “I take it that you’ve seen the letter then, right?” It seemed like he was referring to what Tighnari had just read moments ago.
”….yeah, not really pleasant but, I need to find Anis, I believed she was dead but I’m glad she isn’t” Edo nods at what Tighnari was saying.
”That’s understandable, I know where she is — you kids can follow me” He gestures them as they were ready to go deeper into the pyramid.
”Wait”
Tighnari stops walking, “do you have a fireplace nearby?” Edo thinks and then nods. He points over to a room that was to their left.
Tighnari walks into the room as he sees a lot up fireplace. There were more ancient writings on the walls, it was unnerving.
He takes the letter out from his pocket and throws it into the fireplace. There were faint screams once he threw it into the fireplace, as if he freed some sealed on souls.
He returns back to the others, his tensed up shoulders relaxing. “Alright, let’s go”
Thus they followed Edo to where Anis was. Exchanging stories and also names along the way.
Collei had finished putting some equipment away, getting ready to escort some more Amurta scholars.
“Arama is here!” A little Aranara named Arama says happily as its little legs enter Collei and Tighnari’s hut.
“Oh! Arama! What brings you here?” She asks, putting down the last of the equipment in her hands.
The Dendro Archon, Nahida, then shows up beside Arama. “Lord Kusanali? Is something going on…? Do you need anything?”
“Collei, is Tighnari here?” Nahida asks. “-and please, just call me Nahida, you are just like Cyno by calling me that” She giggles.
”A-Ah apologies..and no, Master Tighnari isn’t home, why do you ask?” Arama looks at Nahida, hits usual derpy smile. “I knew it, of course he wouldn’t”
From the talk she had with Sage Naphis the other day, her gut feeling was true in the end.
”Listen very closely Collei, I’m gonna need you, all of Gandharva Ville and the Avidya Forest in a different location, it is not safe here”
Collei starts to worry at Nahida’s words. “Lord Kus- Nahida, I don’t know what you’re talking about…where would we even go? And when will this place be safe again?”
Nahida frowns slightly, “I’m afraid I can’t answer your questions, I just need you to trust me, there’s no definite confirmation as to when this place would be safe again, i’m sorry I hope you understand”
”No! No! It’s all good, I think I may have someone in mind who can help, but how are we gonna take the whole entire Avidya Forest with us?” The thought of it was pretty funny.
”The Geo Archon has a little someone, and has a certain flying Jade Chamber, I’ll ask if we can gain some help in Liyue” Nahida reassures.
”Liyue? That sounds amazing! I’m actually gonna ask someone from Mondstadt to help, his name is Albedo!” Nahida has already known who he was based on the Geo Archon.
”Right, don’t worry about Tighnari, I’ll inform him once he comes back to wherever he’s gone to. I’ll be sure to use my power to seal up Gandharva Vile and the Avidya Forest once they are up in the sky”
”Up in the sky?!” Collei was shocked from Nahidas words. “Woah woah, up in the sky? So a floating island?”
Nahida nods. “Other than that, just as long as you have people to protect you, there shouldn’t be an issue, okay?”
After all, this was just the beginning.
