Bucky Pov
When Bucky first saw Y/N he knew that he was in trouble. He hadn't had any interest in girls since Hydra, but he knew from the first moment he walked into the room and saw her.
She was beautiful, but that wasn’t why he was interested in her, he couldn’t help but notice the way she moved through the room like she was truly happy, he wanted that feeling of happiness.
He had told himself to stay away from her, he was scared that he would poison her happiness with his own anxieties. But to his dismay Y/N seemed to have other plans she was always around him, and eventually she wore him down, he stopped fighting with her to go away and let her be around him, they grew close and Bucky was surprised to find out that this girl made him feel ok, and sure he still has his anxiety and PTSD and depression but she made them bearable.
The first night she offered to spend the night in his bed Bucky refused he was worried about what he would do to her in his sleep when the nightmares started. But she was persistent and climbed into his bed waiting for him to follow, eventually, Bucky agreed but in his mind, he told himself he would stay awake all night to protect her from himself, it didn't work, her presence calmed him enough that despite him trying to fight it Bucky fell asleep. And she comforted him an hour later when he woke up shaking and crying.
When Bucky realized that he loved her he was terrified, he didn't want to burden her, but he soon realized that she must feel the same with how much time she chooses to spend with him.
