Chapter 1
Sunlight lanced down through the shimmering blue surface of the ocean. Ripples of silver light danced across the reef and glittered on the scales of fish. A shimmering chrome school drifted along the edge of the coral, between the shallows of the reef and the looming shadow of a massive wrecked ship that perched like a gargoyle on the edge of the the platonic shelf. Beyond, the rocky bottom of the ocean dropped away, leaving a deep blue abyss.
The school of fish tilted, drifting back towards the coral. A shimmer of green flashed in the underwater sunlight, and the school scattered.
Stephen laughed as he looped around, his powerful green tail propelling him through the water. He darted through the school as it reformed, grabbing for the fish, but they all slipped away. Sunlight glittered on silver scales as they flashed past his face.
“Hold still, you tasty little bastards!” Stephen called to the fish as he circled the school. The swarm flashed and swirled, a dizzying cloud. Stephen darted towards the edge, and the school shied away before he could reach them, drifting towards the dark silhouette of the wrecked ship.
The old wood was long since claimed by coral and seaweed. The mast loomed overhead as Stephen herded the fish closer, the tattered remains of a sail drifting in the ocean current. A hole had rotted away in the side of the ship, a window into the cluttered shadow inside.
Stephen darted towards the school, and they scattered through the jagged hole and into the ancient ship. With a triumphant grin, Stephen chased after them.
The fish floundered in the blue shadows of the wreck, confused by all the walls. Stephen swum after them, chasing the school through the decaying wooden bowels of the ship from room to room. Ancient barrels and crates blurred past, their contents long since rotted away.
“Ha!” Stephen brought himself to a halt as the school swarmed in a puddle at the end of a room, cornered. Stephen drifted in the water, his hair swirling around his flushed face. “And that’s lunch.”
The school flashed, turned, and flooded straight towards him. Stephen yelped and flailed back as a fish smacked against his face. By the time he turned around, the school had scattered, silver flickers vanishing into the darkness of the ruined ship.
Stephen frowned. “...That’s weird...”
His tail pumped and he swam slowly through the rotting wood and rusted metal. Old ropes held crates in place, crusted with barnacles and algae. As Stephen drifted through an ancient doorway, a crab scuttled along the wall, waving tiny orange claws at him.
“C’mon, you can’t have all gotten away...” Stephen pursed his eyebrows as he swam, searching the darkness of the ship with growing concern. “Minnows don’t usually act like that...”
Something tickled along Stephen’s spine, and he froze. He felt movement in the water. His sensitive tail pumped the water slowly, waiting to feel another errant gust. He scanned the watery shadows with wide eyes.
The old barrels were still. A plank had broken off the wall, leaving a jagged hole into a different room. Stephen turned slowly. Barrels, shadows, silence. He turned to face the door, and a dark, sharp tail vanished around the corner.
Stephen pressed a hand over his mouth. His heart pounded, his tail tense and still in the water. The empty doorway was silent and still, no movement in the darkness beyond. Stephen lowered his shaking hand, his blue eyes wide. He rotated in a quick circle, scanning the walls, the floor, the ceiling for holes he could escape through. The only hole in the wall was barely big enough—
When Stephen turned back towards the door, a sharp grin greeted him.
Stephen didn’t breathe. The shark loomed in doorway, a perfectly still shadow. His sharp brown predator eyes were locked on Stephen’s body.
“Looks like you’re got nowhere to run, pretty fishy.” The shark’s voice was a low purr that crawled down Stephen’s spine. His cold, hungry eyes were the only part of him that caught the dim light. “How about you make this easy?”
Stephen’s heart pounded. He bolted for the hole in the wall.
Rough, broken wood scraped Stephen’s arms as he shot through. His shoulders barely slipped through the narrow opening, his chest sliding through after—Stephen yelped as he was yanked to a halt by a firm grip on his tail, harsh hands gripping his body. He braced himself against the wall, squirming, trying to pull himself all the way through.
“That’s it, little fish,” the shark growled, his powerful arms wrapped around Stephen’s thrashing tail and holding him in place. His low laughter was muffled through the wood, but Stephen could feel every squeeze of his hands. “Wriggle for me.”
Stephen shoved at the rotting wood hull, his tail churning wildly in the dark water. He could feel a hungry smile pressing against his belly, sharp teeth ready to sink into the soft flesh...
“D-don’t!” Stephen gasped, shaking. “P-please—don’t eat me!”
The shark chuckled. “Lucky lucky, I’m not looking for a meal. Not today.” He dragged his tongue over the soft scales on Stephen’s underbelly. “Not that you wouldn’t be a sweet treat.”
Stephen’s eyes snapped open wide when the shark’s tongue dragged over him again, this time over the slit where his member was sheathed. A warm heat stirred in his belly, growing with each hungry swipe of shark tongue over his sensitive skin. Stephen’s wriggling faltered as his pink cock began to emerge, stiff and sensitive, exposed to the shark’s hungry licks.
“Mmmh...” The shark growled softly against Stephen’s cock. “I almost wish I was here to eat you. You taste so damn good.”
The shark’s hungry mouth moved lower, his greedy tongue swiping over Stephen’s tight, pink, sensitive hole.
Stephen gasped out a startled scream and thrashed hard, his slick tail finally slipping free of the shark’s grip. He shot away from the hole in the wall, darting through the dark wreckage. He could hear the swish of the shark’s tail, knew the predator was finding another way around.
The dark, seaweed-choked rooms slid past. Everywhere, the walls were rotted or broken, but every hole led to another shadowy room. Nowhere could Stephen find a way back to the open water. Stephen clenched his teeth and darted from room to room, his tail beating the water.
Sun-warmed blue light caught his eye. Stephen bolted towards a wall, panting, pressing his fingers through a crevice where two old wooden boards had separated. He clenched his jaw and pulled, his tail thrashing, the ancient wood creaking as he tried to pull the crack open.
Stephen’s tail tingled, and he sucked in a sharp breath and bolted to the back of the room, curling up and catching his breath behind stacks of barrels. He let himself drift until he rested against the rotted wood floor, not daring to make a single ripple in the water.
A shadow passed over the sliver of blue, the sunlight briefly swallowed by dark fins.
“I can smell you, little fish.”
Stephen pressed a hand over his mouth, trying to muffle the water currents of his own breathing. He’d never seen a shark before, but he’d heard the stories. He knew why they hunted merfolk this time of year, and it wasn’t for food.
Stephen’s cock was still stiff and exposed, roused by the shark’s hungry tongue. He bit down a whine.
“Get your sweet sensitive tail out here,” the shark sang. Stephen felt the swish of water pumped by a strong tail, and he held his breath. “I know you’ll like it. I know just how to treat a sweet little fishy like you.”
Breeding. Stephen listened to the frantic pump of his own heart, trying not to move a fin as the shark circled just beyond the barrels. If the predator caught him, he’d be mated and filled with eggs, whether he wanted it or not.
He could almost imagine it, the predator’s powerful body pinning him down, the threat of flesh-tearing teeth against his neck, the shark letting out a dominating growl as he...
Stephen swallowed, his pulse racing, his face hot. He had to get out of this wreck.
The currents of water had subsided. Stephen held his breath, listening, feeling. The water was still. Cautiously, barely flicking his tail, Stephen swum up until he could peer over the barrels.
Nothing but clutter and shadow and the tantalizing sliver of blue greeted him. Stephen took a breath and bolted for the crack in the wall.
Before he could reach it, a powerful body slammed into him. The water was knocked out of Stephen’s lungs as he was thrown against the floor.
The shark’s razor grin was inches from Stephen’s face. “Nowhere to swim now, fishy.”
Stephen bucked wildly, his tail thrashing against the ancient wooden planks. He could feel the shark’s powerful body pressed against his, a sleek tail thrashing against his own, keeping him from escaping. The shark’s skin was soft one moment, stone-rough the next, grinding against his helpless body. Stephen’s eyes snapped open wide when he felt the thick bump of an aroused member against his belly.
“Easy does it, fishy.”
Stephen sucked in a sharp breath when he felt the shark’s phallus slip across his body, the pointed head catching on the rim of his hole, teasing. The shark grinned, and with one smooth roll of his tail, the thick head pushed inside.
“Aaaaaaah—” Stephen let out a needy noise, his struggles faltering. Staring down his own heaving chest, he could see the shark’s thick member disappearing into his tight hole, almost hidden by his own twitching cock. He gasped and his back arched when the thick shaft plunged deeper. “A-ah!”
“Mmmh.” The shark growled. “Not fighting it so much now, huh?”
The shaft plunged, stretching out Stephen’s hole, probing deep inside him. Stephen gasped as the predator mated with him in slow, deep thrusts, pinned helplessly in place, his cock twitching.
The first egg stared as a bulge at the base of the shark’s shaft, thick like a knot, pressing against Stephen’s stuffed hole. Stephen gasped pitifully as it slowly sunk into him, stretching him so wide he could barely take it, plunging deep into his body. He felt the egg slip out of the shark’s ovipositor, settling inside him, big and round and deep.
“Mmh.” The shark gave another hungry thrust, his shaft working Stephen’s tingling hole. “Good little fish...”
The second egg was just as thick. Stephen gasped in need as it slipped into him, filling him up. He was no longer struggling, lying limp in the shark’s hold, letting it take what it wanted from him. His twitching cock was stiff in the water, throbbing, his insides squeezing around the bulk of eggs inside him.
“That’s it,” the shark panted, grinning. “You’re a tight little incubator, aren’t you? Mmmh, tight and sweet...”
The shark’s member was pushed deep, his slit nearly pressed against Stephen’s tail as the third egg began to bulge at the base. Stephen only moaned when it forced his pink hole to stretch.
“Feeling full yet?”
“Ah—” Stephen whimpered when the egg slipped past his hole, his body squeezing it inside. “A-ah—!”
The shark let go of Stephen’s unresisting arms, grabbing his hips instead. He gave a sharp thrust, and Stephen gasped as the last thick inch of the predator pushed into him, their tails pressed flush together, the shark’s soft underbelly rubbing his cock. He cried out when he felt a fourth egg bulging at his hole. He couldn’t take any more—
Stephen’s cry echoed through the wrecked ship as he came, impaled on the predator’s member, his body shaking. The last egg slipped inside him, settling among the others, and Stephen let out a long, helpless moan.
“Heh.” The shark dragged his tongue over Stephen’s panting mouth. “Knew you’d like it.”
Stephen groaned, his head spinning. He felt so stuffed it ached, a small bulge in his belly where the shark’s eggs filled him up. He felt teeth press against his neck, hard enough to leave possessive pink marks, and Stephen whimpered.
“I’ll be back to breed you again,” the shark whispered. He thrust once, slow and deep, jostling the eggs and drawing a frantic cry from Stephen. “You’re my little incubator now. I’ll keep you fed, keep other predators away from you.” He bit again, growling. “And I’ll keep you stuffed full all breeding season.”
Stephen let out a thin moan, pressing up into the shark’s touch despite himself. He knew the prospect should terrify him, but his spent cock twitched between their sleek bodies.
