This was originally in a one-shot collection but is now in a series for Pinterest Prompts.

Today was not going well. Currently, Loki was in the palace garden with his mother. He was helping some flowers bloom while his mother watched from her bench with a sad smile on her face. Queen Frigga was quite disappointed with her eldest, who had started to refuse to play with his brother due to him having friends his age and not needing to accommodate Loki. It had hurt him, but she was glad to note that he was not disheartened.

Frigga was just waiting, now. Waiting for when the Norns finally send her son a man from the future to meet each other. She did not know why they were going to do this, but she was hoping that her little boy was going to make a friend, even if he wouldn’t see them again. She wasn’t able to see who would show, but she would know when they came.

So, she watched her son as he helped the flowers he planted bloom into the best they could be. Loki seemed to love yellow flowers more than any other. When she asked he told her that they reminded him of her. That melted her heart, and she doesn’t understand why most do not appreciate Loki’s type of love and kindness.

When a light and snapping sound was heard to her side drew her attention, along with Loki’s. Her son gasped and crawled towards the man lying face down near another area of the garden. She let out a slight giggle at seeing the man now have discarded flowers and grass in his brown hair. Loki kneeled in front of him with a mix of excitement and wariness. Good, she is glad that her youngest knows to not always trust everyone he would meet.

The man slowly lifts his head, blinking up at Loki in a haze but Frigga can also see a faint recognition in them. Maybe her son does meet this man in the future. She stands up in one flued movement and glides over to the two. Lowering herself enough to hold out her hand to help the older man up. Said man stared at her for a moment before slowly taking her hand and standing up.

“Where am I?” he asked. Loki stood up, as well, to stand beside his mother.

Frigga smiled warmly at the man, “You are in Asgard, dear. My name is Queen Frigga, and this is my youngest son, Loki.” She motioned to Loki who bows faintly as an introduction with a huge grin on his face.

The man looked confused and looked around in shock. Once he finished his look around he faced them once agin. “I’m Tony. Why- No, how am I here?” The man; whom she now knew as Tony, seemed worried. Understandable, due to him clearly not being from any of the Nine Realms that knew about Asgard; most likely Midgard. That was proven when she asked him where he was from after explaining to him how he ended up here.

The rest of the day consisted of Loki showing Tony around the palace and the two talking about many things. Some of the guards were about to grab Tony before Frigga shook her head. They can tell Odin, but it wouldn’t change the fact that not only was he not going to be here once the day was up, but also that the King might be able to tell him to leave but he can’t enforce it. After all, the Norns have more power against him. And if she was being honest, she knows that if he continued to invoke their anger, things would not go well for him.

When it came time for Tony to leave, it turned out that Loki didn’t want him to leave. Tony tried to tell him they’d meet again, but she could tell that when they met once again it wouldn’t be a friendly encounter. She isn’t sure if she wants to know what would happen.
