Chapter 2
CHAPTER 2
“I’m telling you! I was there!” Jason exclaimed as he was walking towards the batcomputer where Tim sat, clicking away. “It doesn't make sense, Dick should’ve known then” Tim replied as there was an alert on the batcomputer,
'Identification : Peter B. Parker.'
“whoah, they look identical…” same facial features, brown hair, brown eyes, all the same.
‘Identifying Peter B. Parker, Peter G. Wayne. DNA, 100% match. Identical twins.’
The result showed up on the batcomputer. It was silent, until someone spoke. “what?” Dick.
Peter G. Wayne POV
“Ow…”
“Are you sure you’re alright, Master Peter?” Alfred asked as he poured some tea, It was already the next day “I’m fine…” I replied before the others, Dick, Jason, and Tim had walked into the room. “Pete?? you’re hurt again.” Dick said, before he could say anything else I cut him off “I’m clumsy…? I was just at a friend's house-”
“You have more than 1 friend?” Well that's mean.
“I have more friends than just Harry.”
“enlighten us”
“Well, there’s…Ned who you knew! Who uh also…moved away. y’know, there’s also Gwen who…also moved.”
Silence. A very awkward silence before I quickly stood up, letting out a small wince. “Seriously, why have you been coming home injured? Who's this friend of yours? Did they do this?” Dick said, before I could reply their phones buzzed.
Fierey A. Parker POV
This was not what I planned.
I fought before. Robots, Hunters, Witch and wizards, Sorcerer and Sorceress from my own kingdom, monsters, I fought Thanos too. I fought my own battles, and not once I had brought others. Okay, maybe Sir Strange and Sir Wong but still! I could handle them, I was trained by Sir Strange how to deal with villains, Myvillains. So what the hell is a giant Octopus monster from My Universe doing here. AND IN THE MIDDLE OF GOTHAM.
It was a normal Saturday. I was searching for a place to make a copy of The Sanctum Sanctorum so I could train there, why make a copy? I miss Sir Strange. His boring, brutal, horrible, and miserable training, his lectures about not sneaking out of Kamar-Taj, his tea he always brews in the evening, that stupid Cloak of Levitation, Sir Wong. I miss my Teacher. My Mentor. My Dad.
So there I was, on a break at a small cafe. A small sketchbook and pencil at hand, and when you’re a Sorceress you can use your powers at your will (sorry Sir Strange). “Your skills are exceptional.” I tore my gaze away from my sketches and was greeted by a boy my age, maybe older? wearing an olive green hoodie “Oh, thanks.” I said, matching his tone as the boy invited himself to sit across from me. Tearing an empty sheet of paper from my sketchbook and passing it over to him before giving him a spare pencil. Sitting in a comfortable silence, only strokes of pencils on paper could be heard over us. “your family?” “Mentor. These ones are my family” showing him a drawing of Sir Strange, Tony, and Pepper. Before I could continue, I was interrupted by a scream. Both me and the boy turned our heads, moving quickly as a crowd started to form towards the window and balcony of the cafe. I’ve heard screams before, Gothamites screams are everywhere. But that scream was very different than usual, so different that it captured a lot of the other civilians. Gotham is a very high rated crime. when you hear a scream, you run. No questions, unless you want to die that night or day. Walking out of the door frame to the balcony with my drink, only to see chaos. Screams and civilians running. The boy next to me was staring at the scene, others had a look of bewilderment. So I act, I did plan to be this universe’s Sorceress Supreme.
Taking a final sip of my drink, I placed it back on my table before going back to the balcony. walking towards the railing, and taking out my scarf swiftly before jumping off the balcony. Ignoring the gasps and screams as I Transformed my scarf into The Cloak of Levitation, or a copy of it, and changed my clothes, hopefully Sir Strange never knows how much I looked up to him. Quickly, I glided through the air. landing safely on the ground as I walked towards a- floating bus that was crushing itself? Huh, poor bus. I cast a spell, a revealing spell that Sir Strange taught me and woah. Is that- from My Universe?
“What the hell is that?!” a vigilante. uh, Red Hood! yes. I quickly cast a spell, creating a circular saw and cutting through the bus that was thrown at us. If a Gargantos is here, how come Sorcerer Supreme doesn’t exist in this world? What if it only just exists because Peter and I came here?
“UGHHH A LITTLE HELP FOR A 13 YEAR OLD GIRL?!!” I called out as I was pulling the now tied up Gargantos toward a portal I had opened up.
After a while, that Gargantos is finally in my mind dimension. “Who are you?” Shit. Batman! “BATMAN! I mean- uh…” I squealed before clearing my throat “uhm…Fierey!” I said before Nightwing came next to him “Nightwing, Though I think you’d know that by now” “oh we’re using our made up names, honestly I got none. Just Fierey!” “What was that?” Batman asked. Damn his voice is stone cold. “That is a Gargantos. It's a gargantuan octopus that dwells under the sea. It's like a henchman who works for a demon. What's it doing here? I’m trying to figure it out.” then it dawned on me.
‘What if it only just exists because Peter and I came here?’
“Oh. Me…”
That’d make sense. Why would it be in search of Peter anyways? That thing was sent here, but who?
It was already the next day. I had finally found a place for me to make the Sanctum Sanctorum, it was the exact copy of Sir Strange’s Sanctum Sanctorum. The Bats, (so weird) were seated on a couch that was too similar to the one back then. “This is the Sanctum Sanctorum. If there are any magical problems, you know where to find me.” I said as I landed softly on the floor, the Cloak of Levitation flowing behind me.
“Lots of questions, right? Ask away”
“Why are you in Gotham?”
“Terrible city, Alien invasions, sounds like a great excuse for a Sorceress to be here. Also I moved here so,”
“You fought in public. With your identity out in the open? What if someone stalked and attacked you?!”
“Pretty stupid to attack a Sorceress”
“Listen, I know you're not keen on having a…magic wielder in this city, considering that you don't accept Metas kindly. But I'm trying to help. And with that Gargantos attacking here out of all places it could go, I can't leave.”
Peter Parker POV
The air is cold, walking through Gotham city as another footsteps following close next to me. “Are you sure this is safe?” I asked Grayson as we went through another Alleyway and towards a building, climbing up the fire escape ladder as Grayson answered “duh! I wouldn't have brought you here if it wasn't, this is where Ned, Gwen and I usually hangout.” “you know Ned?” I asked as we reached the roof “yeah, we're friends! Gwen too, Before they move, of course. why?”
“He's my best friend, back before the whole- Universe thing. There's also MJ, she was my Gwen.”
“Oh.” Way to go Parker, you made it awkward “sorry, I just–” “nah, it's alright! Maybe you could tell me more? About them I mean, if you want of course!” I stare at him before giving him a chuckle “sure.” I answered, his face lighting up as the both of us sat at the edge of the roof. The city lights were glistening in the midnight sky, despite the terrible city it is, Gotham City is beautiful. “How can you look at Gotham like it's so kind?”
“It always is. Fierey once told me that- some places are black and white, but that doesn't mean that it will always going to stay like that forever. Gotham is black definitely. But that doesn't mean that it has no light in it and that there's nothing beautiful about it, it has its own ways to be beautiful. It just needs some time, some time for it to be kind and maybe become the light it has lost”
‘Behind!’
Way to ruin the moment. I quickly turned around, making Grayson turn as well, curious by what I caught. And then–
BANG!
A gun. I quickly pushed Grayson to the side, still holding onto his clothes so he wouldn't fall off. That'd be an interesting story to tell his family. The bullet quickly flew past us from the middle. Quickly, I pulled Grayson up to stand and quickly ran towards the Fire escape, pulling Grayson with me as the shooter(?) chased us. What do they want?
We continued to run as the shooter kept shooting, dodging each one with my spidey-sense. “I lied! I didn't know it wasn't safe!” Grayson said as he continued running, I stopped. "Hey! What are you—?!" I heard Grayson yelled. Quickly, I turned around and faced the shooter. Running towards him as I quickly disarmed him, his gun clattered on the concrete and I quickly stomped on it, using a bit of my super strength and crushing the gun in half. That was not planned. I didn't mean to use that much! “ever get beaten up by a 16 year old before?” I taunted before the guy charged at me, blocking the hit as I went to sweep his legs and he came down. Before I could do anything else, a shadow figure jumped down next to him, handling him. He was wearing a sleek black jumpsuit, with a cool leather jacket, and a bright red helmet, he also had a Red bat across his chest. Another one then came in, this time the other one was wearing a blue and black ensemble, What looks like to be a blue bird cross his chest. Seriously? Red Hood, again. And Nightwing.
Before they could get a word out, Grayson was stomping towards us. Specifically, me.
“Are you out of your mind?! You could've died!”
“Well, I didn't”
“Seriously? This is Gotham we're talking about! not New York, Queens!”
“Not that different!”
“Really?”
“Hey, crime rates are high there too. Gotham's just- Hell”
“Doesn't make it any better”
“Uh, can we get a say in this?”
“No!” Both me and Grayson turned our heads to the two Vigilante. If they didn't see our face then, they definitely see us now. “Sorry, who are you?” Nightwing asked me, he seemed surprised. Maybe he knows Grayson? I mean Grayson is pretty famous, by name, of course. It'd be surprising to see a kid of a Billionaire suddenly have a copy. But why would he care? “Peter! Uh- Peter B. Parker or Peter Parker's fine too, actually, maybe call me Parker. Y'know- both our names are Peter so–” Oh my God, Shut up. “Peter G. Wayne has a Twin?”
“Separated from birth,”
“Got adopted in New York,”
“Never met, never knew,”
“Parents died, moved here with my sister,”
“And then, I found out about him and emailed him. So…”
Both me and Grayson finished and continued each other's sentences, finally finishing our ‘long story short’. Well that's a lot, for them. God I'm hungry. “Can we go? I'm kinda hungry-” “seriously?
Again?” I nodded at Grayson “Hold on—”
“Bye Mr. Nightwing, sir! You too, Red Hood!”
